"My wife is a resident of Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County Paramount. The people that take care of her really like all the patients that they have. They are very friendly. The place is a really nice place, but it's too far away from us. It's the same food that they give you in the hospital. The food is okay. The facility is very clean. They have guess-that-tune and another one is religious activities. They take them out for tours around the area. They had quite a few activities. The room is pretty good size and the layout is okay, too. The atmosphere is okay."

"Juniper Village at Mount Joy is very nice. The place is very, very nice. They have multiple places for people to eat in terms of area. At the time, they were constructing a new activity gym area. The rooms are very nice. The biggest issue I had there was that it was quite expensive. It's a lot more expensive than where my mom is now. They have a building that has studio apartments, and some places have semi-privates. The place is very nice. They have nice facilities. The staff who accommodated me for the tour was very nice."

"I went to Oak Hill Village for my wife. The room was good. This is the first time I've ever been in any of these places, so I don't know if it's good or bad, but I wasn't overly impressed by it. It didn't seem warm and fuzzy to me. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very knowledgeable."

"My Great-Uncle has been living at Oak Leaf Manor (Landisville) for about a year. I have visited him at least twice a week since he has been there, so I am very familiar with Oak Leaf. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There is plenty of outside seating including two gazebo's. There is also an outside picnic area and nice walkways for the residents. The interior is wonderfully decorated for whatever season it happens to be. There is also a water fountain inside that is quite nice so sit around and relax. The dining room is nicely laid out and the food is good. The residents rooms are spacious and clean. The staff at Oak Leaf Manor is very friendly and caring. If any problems arise, the staff do their best to accommodate you as quickly as possible. There are a lot of activities for the residents, including BINGO, a theater room, scenic bus rides, crafts, and veterans activities. Overall Oak Leaf Manor has a very comfortable friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a home for a loved one who can no longer live alone, I highly recommend Oak Leaf Manor. "

"Oak leaf manor and is an amazing place and is somewhere that I would suggest to anyone looking for long term care. My grandfather was placed there in 2010 and the whole entire time the facility and staff were absolutely amazing. I have nothing at all bad to say about this facility. The staff here was great and made sure that they treated my grandfather with the best care ever, and made him feel like a person not a patient. The whole facility made sure that they met his needs at all time and made sure to make him feel at home. The facility did many different outings so he felt like he was not stuck in a place. He was able to go outside daily which was extremely important to him. The staff was supportive since day one till when he passed in 2011. During his last days the facility made sure that his privacy was kept and that he could spend time with his family and not worry about being around a lot of people. I would recommend this facility to anyone and know where I will take other family members when the time comes. "

"I visited and toured. It was very nice. The staff was very wonderful, very pleasurable, and accommodating. They had pretty much everything, like playing Wii on the TV when we were there, bingo, and cards. They had a little gift shop. They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I believe they provided bus service to doctors' appointments upon request. "

"We toured Harmony at Hershey and I liked it the best. My parents didn't like it because they felt that it didn't feel very homey to them. It felt more like a hotel, and they didn't feel like it was a very home-like environment. The staff were very friendly and very nice. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. However, I didn't see as many staff here as I did in another place we toured. Everything was super clean and very new and updated. I think that was very nice. They had a gym, therapies, salon, and movie theater. They also had walking paths."

"I toured the memory area and was happy to see the activities going on were engaging to those with dementia. The area smelled great. The residents looked well kept and happy. We had lunch and the food was exceptional. I am happy to say my mother will be moving in. Kara the director was very helpful in answering our questions and was very knowledgeable about the dementia process."

"The Terraces at Capitol Village was a beautiful community, and the staff was all very friendly. They had just remodeled, so it's very clean. It doesn't smell either. The dining area was nice. They have different places where you can go to eat. They have birds in cages. We had two residents tell us they had just gotten done with bingo."

"My father-in-law has moved into Linden Village Senior Living Community. Everybody is friendly there. It's close to where we live, so that's a plus. They are very helpful. My father-in-law's room has a bed and dressers. If you want a TV, you have to provide your own, which is fine. They provide soap, towels, sheets, and all the linens and stuff. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. They gave us a calendar for the whole month of July and all the activities that are going on. They have a big courtyard so they can go out. They have an awning out on the porch."

"We toured and the overall facilities were fine, but the person that gave us a tour felt like a used car salesman. There was a lot of pressure. One of the rooms that we were shown was actually a corner room, so it had two windows facing two different directions, which was beautiful. It was a beautiful room, but what really turned me off was the way the tour guide or the marketing person made me wonder what the rest of the whole thing was. I felt pressured. They said if we wanted that room we needed to commit by tomorrow. That just turned me off to the whole thing. I left there feeling very, very pressured to commit, and this is not something that I'm going to sign on the dotted line when I'm approached about going there. Their dining room was fabulous. It was actually an old barn, and it had been renovated, so it had the old barn beams on it. It was a beautiful, beautiful dining room. The tour really, really turned me off. It kind of made me feel, "Does this continue with all the staff?" Not the nursing staff, but the administrative staff. Are they always pressured to do this or do that? And that's something I do not like, being pressured. The facilities were beautiful. However, the whole decor and everything, I think, was kind of over the top. It was more than what my father is used to. He is used to more simple settings. As I said, the dining room was absolutely beautiful, but to me, that's more frills than anything. It's just more than what my dad is used to, and he probably wouldn't feel comfortable there. The person who gave me the tour was a very knowledgeable lady."

"SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Kelly Drive was homey. I felt comfortable being there. It was clean. The room was a good size. Everybody was nice. The lady that gave the tour was very helpful. They were doing an exercise class when I was there, so several residents were enjoying that. They have lots of activities based on the schedule they gave me."
