"Frey Village was great. I had a very good tour and the two women, who were my tour guides, were wonderful. They took care of all my questions. So, everything was great. They have apartments, so if I would ever want to possibly move, I could do that. I was shown the skilled nursing rooms, the family areas where they have their meals, their recreation, and their chapel. The shared rooms looked nice. They only have a few private rooms, but it looked like everyone seemed to be happy and that they had enough space. They had courtyards, too."

"We toured Harmony at Hershey. What I liked best was that it was very personal care, very resident-focused, the activities, and the facility is new. It was only built a couple of years ago. So, it's very clean and very up to date. The dining looked decent and is a good place to call home in your older years."

"We went with Autumn House West. My mother moved in end of May. We are very pleased with our overall experience. The staff is very caring and they have taken very good care of my mom. The room is a basic room, nothing spectacular but it is functional. Since it's COVID, meals are delivered to their rooms and the meals are good. They do not have any activities yet but they are hoping to resume. It is close to where she lives and is reasonably priced. Plus the staff is great."

"Autumn House East was very nice. The place was older, but it's very well kept from what I saw. The apartments were very nice. We got to visit with a lady that lived there and she couldn't say enough about how wonderful the staff is and how happy she is to be there. We looked at their dining area. It only serves lunch and dinner, and lunch is the bigger meal of the day which is their choice to do. He said you can also get breakfast if you want to order it from them. There were individual tables with usually four people at each table. The gentleman was very nice and friendly. Everybody was, actually. The rooms were large. Your living room and kitchen is a combination with a lot of room. The bedroom doesn't seem to be big. The bathroom had handicapped access. They didn't have a whole lot of closet space. The staff was very nice, as were the rest of the staff we met. It's an older establishment, but it was decorated beautifully. It looked like you were stepping back in time and it was gorgeous. They did an excellent job."

"My mom is in Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County. It is her fourth month there. It is a combination of assisted care and constant care kind of place. The rooms are very clean. The location is good for me because it's only about 10 minutes from where I live. In terms of the facility itself, it has a very nice dining area. It has a sitting area with leather chairs and a big- screen TV. It has a gazebo in the back for people who want to go outside to sit in the sun and also a small gazebo in the front for the people who want to sit there. They do provide meals and alternative meals for people who have some issues with the diet. The staff is OK. As in other places, they're having issues with keeping nursing assistants because of just the times right now, but for the most part, they're doing a nice job. They have an area for some therapy, both physical and occupational. It's a nice facility. But there are some staff members that I find a little undesirable in terms of how they deal with some things. I've been with my mom when she has eaten there, and the food was good. It's not a five-star restaurant, but it's not bad. It's also not as expensive as some of the other ones around here. My mom goes to bingo every day, and I know there are activities every day. I'm a DJ and I went and did a music tribute show for the folks for the first time last Wednesday. The folks that had the memory issues knew every song that I played, which was interesting."

"The managers at Celebration Villa of York made it very easy for me to get my mother in there temporarily on two separate occasions. They had an activity coordinator that tries to involve every person who stays there and my mom would get involved in some of the things. She had a very good-sized room and she had everything that she needed. The very first time I went there, I was invited to stay for lunch and the food was very good. They give you choices. They treat you as if you are going to a restaurant. Then they come up and tell you what the choices are and they take your order. Everybody was just very friendly and helpful."

"I toured Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg. It's an absolutely beautiful setting. It's in the mountains. The grounds were spacious, wooded, and well-kept. The independent living area was very nice. The apartments there are large and all one-bedroom. They're very spacious. The staff who accommodated us was the manager of the facility, and she was informative, positive, and very helpful. The dining area for independent living was small but very clean. They were in the process of cooking dinner, which smelled very good. They had bingo activities. They had trips to the local theaters. I can't remember everything that was on the activity list, but it was a very full activity from what I remember. If I could convince my mother to move in there today, I would."

"Juniper Village at Mount Joy was beautiful. The staff showed us two very nice rooms. They were preparing for a man to play guitar while we were taking a tour. They provided lunch for us, and we had a choice of two different entrees. The people who worked in the dining room were very attentive to everybody and got them anything that they wanted. It was like a restaurant, and the food was very good."

"My mother-in-law is at Silver Spring Personal Care Home. We feel that they're the best place for getting the best care for her. We're really happy with them. They've done a great job taking care of her. As far as the people are concerned, they have a great team together. It's a fairly new place. Everything works for my mother-in-law. The staff is the key factor because of their level of expertise and the way they take care of and treat people. With regards to the activities, they always have two activities going on each day. They have games, memory-type things, bingo, and that type of stuff. They have a small gym and a hair salon there. They take care of them."

"I utilized VibraLife for a respite stay for my mother. The Management team was extremely supportive to me as this was the first time my mother has been out of my care. The staff was patient with my mom while she adjusted to her new environment. The activities director really did make an effort to keep her engaged. The residents treated her as if she was family. Mom truly benefited from her time at Vibra Life. This was a good experience for my mother and myself. "

"We chose The Bridges at Bent Creek for my mother because of good location. They provide good care but they need to have more staff. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The do bingo, they have lobby time where they can talk about current events, and when COVID's over they can go outside. The facility is very well-kept."

"I toured Legend at Silver Creek. I liked the feel of the vibe. It had a good vibe. It wasn't so big that you felt lost. There was a feeling of community. It's relatively new, so that always makes you feel better and it just feels like some place you'd want to move to. This lady was extremely thorough, and she's ready to fight maybe for different reasons, but I certainly don't think she rushed us through there."

"We visited Bethany Village. The facility and everything was very nice. It was very nice to look at, but we can’t afford it; it was too expensive. The staff was very nice to show us an apartment and show us what a room looked like. Their room was not as big as we would like, but of course we’re downsizing from a house, so we know we have to go to a smaller place. "
