"The staff that I met here seemed very nice. I have no idea about the food, but the rooms were very nice, and really the only reason why we did not move forward with them was the availability that they had for a room at that time. The facility was even more modern and nicer than where my mom is currently at. It was just that, unfortunately, they had no openings."

"I visited this home as a professional. I was struck with the feel of the place right away. It goes for the at home feel however just barely misses. It feels more like a motel at times however the staff was always very friendly and accommodating. There seemed to be alot of activities that people could participate in and when I was there people were active with chatting, playing cards and seemed to be having an enjoyable experience. The dementia floor seems to be well organized with locked doors and alarms to make sure that if someone were to slip out the door they would be able to be found prior to leaving the building. One very nice thing about this place is that they offer a nice veterans discount which helps many families afford their costs. "

"Have a high-functioning very senior relative (with advanced professional degree) in Connections memory care since early 2020 -it's been a unanimously positive experience. Staff has been professional, kind and facilities are kept safe in covid times. Nursing care is excellent, aides are ready to assist, food is excellent according to the relative, and activities are tailored to the interests of individuals. For instance, relative likes travel videos and fruity snow cones, so staff found videos and a snow cone machine. The head of Connections together with staff plus doctor-PA on call, to quickly address changing health issues and keep the family informed. The cost of Connections is reasonable, considering the level of attention needed by residents from bathing and dressing, to being prompted for meals and activities, to medication needs. It is a positive, friendly environment for residents, driven by the dedication of hardworking staff. In three consecutive days of indoor hourlong visits from bedroom, to family lounge, to hallways and residents' large activities lounge, we saw staff engaging with and encouraging residents. Birthdays are marked in the activities lounge, with residents gathering. Movies were shown, concerts were set up. The facilities are clean and safe with no objects left out of place. There is also an extensive gated secure garden area, where residents can sit in warmer weather. Top notch place."

"This facility is one of the best facilities I have visited. The kind staff did everything they could to help my grandmother live the best life possible, and they were very understanding if we had any concerns. She really enjoyed the activities department, who do their best to accommodate a wide range of resident needs. The aides were on top of things, and the nurses were always there when they were needed. The resident to caregiver ratio was excellent when my grandmother stayed there, and the quality of care was excellent. They were always so kind to both her and us, and we always felt like they handled everything in the most professional, respectful way. Shook really went the extra step to adhere to privacy policies laid by the state and facility; we never heard any gossip going on while we were there. This is one of the only facilities that I have personally dealt with that I would recommend to anyone without a second thought. "

"Visited this home several times in a professional capacity. It was always very neat clean and the residents were very happy. I spoke to one lady who lived here and she said that the residents for the most part were very nice and she felt like she was at home. They are very sensitive to the needs of the aging population but at the same time respected their independence. The staff I encountered here were friendly and helpful. "

"My aunt is in Menno Haven. She has her own bungalow. It was pleasant. Everything looked very neat and clean. I know each person was still allowed to have their own vehicle and stuff. I know they offer movie nights and things like that, but I'm not sure how often that was. I know my aunt does not often participate in things. Some of the things like carpeting and the paint are a little dated. I know the staff was very attentive to my aunt as far as if she needed someone, she could get someone fairly quickly. I know that they did come around to check her blood pressure and do wellness visits for her."

"My mom was in an ALF at The Luther Ridge for a little while. Everything was perfect there. The facility itself was fine. It was very clean. The staff treated her great. I like them the best. They were very helpful and they just treated my mom fine. I ate with her one time and the food was fine too. If my mom asks to go in a facility again, that's where she's going to go. I would recommend this place. "

"Quincy Village had nice apartments. I was looking for either a cottage or an apartment, and they had some nice two-bedrooms and one-bedrooms. We had a very knowledgeable marketing lady give us the tour, and it looked like they have a lot of interesting things to do. They transport you from one place to another, so there were a lot of vehicles running around taking people to appointments and other places within the complex. They had fitness rooms, computer rooms, and nursing care if you needed it. "

"I was in this facility in a professional setting, the facility was always very clean, the residents seemed to look very happy. The activity boards were full of interesting and varied activities. The interesting thing about this facility is it looks like it was a renovated elementary school and it has a really neat look to it. It is in a very picturesque mountainous region. Staff was very friendly and sensitive to residents needs and responded fairly and appropriately to the special needs of their residents. "

"I toured The Leland of Laurel Run. What I liked best was the atmosphere, cleanliness, and friendliness. The least that I liked was the price. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and inviting, with a homely atmosphere. The size of the room was nice and accommodating. The dining area was very open."

"My Mother is a resident at the Aprontree. On a scale of 1-10, this Personal Care Home is easily deserving of a 10 PLUS. being a smaller home, the residents get more personal attention and care. The owner of the home Betty, has to be an angel sent by GOD to oversee the residents as I have been in care homes costing 2-3 times per month what Betty charges and the residents do not get a fraction of the Love and Attention that Betty and her Staff provide. THIS IS TRULY A GREAT PLACE, AND BETTY IS A GREAT ADMINISTRATOR. "

"I have been in this home several times as a professional. Each time I was there I was disappointed. I visited in the middle of summer several times and found the home to be unbearably hot to the point that many of the residents were outdoors to escape the heat of the inside. I am not sure if they do not have AC or if they don't use it but they have had several close calls and warnings from governing bodies about temperature. I have also been here after a resident wandered out in the heat of the summer wearing a winter coat. He was found passed out and very dehydrated and was taken to the hospital. When I have been here to visit residents I have found the place to have a strong urine smell. I would not recommend this place for a loved one. "

"I had a personal associate that lived here with her husband and her dog. They loved it! Their apartment was spacious and accommodating to their needs. The food service dining room was always set up very nicely and the staff was always very friendly. The residents that I saw when I visited were always smiling and seemed very happy. There seemed to be several social groups and activities. The facility is in a picturesque community that includes ponds and walking paths. They also seemed to allow pets which is nice because the residents don't have to part with their furry friends to move here. "
