The rooms are a great size and each room has their own window. There is a ton of activities that the residents live to participate in. They also have van excursions and social events. It is like Cheers, where everybody knows your name and a very friendly environment. Each resident has a fob to press when they need additional help ie: falling down. My mom had to use the fob once. After pressing the fob, it took the staff less than 60 seconds to arrive to assist her. The food is quite good and they have a variety to choose from. There is one main dish but you can request something from the menu. So glad we chose this place for my mom. She is making a lot of new friends and feels comfortable and safe there.

I went to visit my elderly brother last week and this was the first time I was there. WOW this is the nicest facility I have ever been in. First the grounds are beautiful before you step into the spacious entrance and equality beautiful first floor. I was greeted by staff including the executive director, who introduced me to her staff, I was shown around the lobby and explained how my brother was doing in the short time he has been there. Next I was taken to my brother's apartment. His rooms are so spacious and wide areas to move around in. He is very content are happy and comfortable there. Great job to all the staff for making this move so easy for him and the wonderful care you offer . I can't say enough good things about your facility.

My grandfather is currently a patient at the Traditions of Hershey. I visited him three days ago. It's a great building. They have tons of activities. The staff is fantastic. Everybody works hard and is very caring. They care about the patients. The lunches are generally good, the dinners, not as much. But I also understand that as you get older, you don't want to have such a big meal later in the day. The layout of the building makes it very easy to get around and is very clean. I know they tend to have live entertainment, usually a band or singer like 3 or 4 times a week. They do movies, like 2 or 3 times a week, and lots of interactive games where the employees will do quiz games or bingo with the residents. There is a very upbeat, happy, and inviting feeling when you enter the place.

My husband, Mel, moved to Traditions personal care near the end of February 2024. PC (personal care) is a perfect place; the caregivers are excellent and very kind, knowledgeable, and very caring. I moved to independent living February 23rd where Mel was to join me when he regained his strength. Alas, 'twas not to be, for he passed in the hospital February 25, was buried in Lebanon on February 29. How fortunate for me and my family that I was already moved into my apartment. It is a beautiful one-bedroom apartment. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the other residents are friendly and helpful as well. There are many important services and the food is good. There are a lot of wonderful and fun activities. I am so grateful to be here during this time of grief and with so many business dealings that had to be taken care of. Thank goodness for having to be able to get situated in my beautiful apartment in Traditions which is perfectly located for me and my family. I am very comfortable and happy here. Mel and I looked at many places prior to having decided upon Traditions. Traditions is the best! Donna K. Formally of Mt. Gretna

My wife had a hip replacement with an extended hospital stay and also in-patient rehab. We had decided a stay in respite care before coming (all the way) home would afford her a chance to focus on recovery. The independent living apartment was very nice, and the staff could not have been more helpful and caring. Traditions coordinated her OT/PT right on the premises. Along with attending the regularly scheduled exercise sessions, that did the trick. We had a 30 day lease, and when it was up she was ready to come home. Highly recommend!

Traditions of Hershey was nice but I didn't like going that far from my friends and I didn't like that they were in a commercial area with a lot of parking places and stuff. There were no grounds and no privacy whereas most of the other facilities are hidden away a little bit. It was too much like just another commercial building. The only thing I liked about that place was that if you were on the ground floor, you had an outside door where you could go into your apartment from the parking place. Of course, you can't do that on the other floors, but that was a nice thing to have. They didn't have any of the walking trails or anything like that because again, it's just in the middle of a lot of other buildings and parking lots, but they have daily activities. I like the layout and I like the apartments. They had a good selection and I think I could get exactly what I wanted there. Even the ones that are newly decorated are done with carpet.

Nice apartments, excellent staff. Independent living offers an enhanced care program that has allowed my mom to stay in her independent apartment while getting help with ADLs. Staff is very caring, lots of activities offered. My whole family is very pleased.

I took a tour of Traditions Of Hershey in hopes of finding a place for my Mom. What a beautiful facility it is. Rooms were spacious enough and very clean. The staff was so helpful in answering any questions and concerns I had. The amenities seem well thought out to give the residents plenty of activity through out the day. I happened to be there over the lunchtime meal and the food look appetizing and smelled very good. Unfortunately my Mom needs more care at this time but I will not hesitate to move her in here when the time is right.

We visited the facility and we were blown away by the hospitality from staff from the moment we walked through the doors. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we loved the atmosphere! It is the kind of facility that gives off a warm and welcoming vibe and makes you want to be apart of the family they all have created. You can tell that the staff truly care and the residents are extremely happy as well. They provided a lot of great activities during a majority of the day to keep everyone busy and there was enough variety to enjoy multiple activities, they even do outings to places like diners, casinos, and mall trips. We were able to enjoy lunch while there and the food was fantastic, plenty of options to fit just about any appetite. The room we looked at was beautiful and most of all clean!

My father will move into Traditions of Hershey. It's very nice and clean. The people at the front desk are friendly. The room is a nice size. It had a new carpet in it. It was clean and sunny. Both the staff that handle incoming residents were very helpful and very kind. In terms of activities, they have trips, music, and a library. They have a very active activities calendar. They have people come in from the outside and maybe do a little performance. They have a movie, and a lot of the residents get together for a happy hour in the evening.

This facility is home to our loved one, and it was important that they be surrounded by people that treat them like family. The staff at Traditions of Hershey are nothing short of amazing and I know my loved one is receiving the best genuine care.

I went to Traditions of Hershey, and it was very nice. I thought that the place was clean and neat. Marnie was extremely helpful. She explained things to me that I didn't understand, which was what I was looking for. The staff was very friendly, very outgoing, and very helpful. The facility was very neat and clean. The only thing that I thought was missing was possibly a pool, but I understand that some places just don't have a pool. They had a library. They had a fitness room where they had different things. They had a nice theater for the residents. They have a walking trail that is very close by, and I like that idea. That made a big difference to me. They showed me the calendar of activities, and I saw people taken to different areas. They had a lot of different activities. They could sign up for trips or for transportation to go places, so that looked like it would be nice, and I saw people coming down and signing up for things. It seemed like a very active community. I looked at the independent living, but they also took the liberty of showing me the personal care side and gave me information on how that would work should I come in as independent living and if I ever need that. That was very helpful, too, to understand how that would work. I felt that Marnie, who was in charge there, was very helpful and provided all kinds of material and information about budgeting and information that I thought was really helpful. I think it would help anybody to decide on whether this is something they could afford or would be happy doing. I thought she was great.

We toured Traditions of Hershey for my parents and that place was not a big hit with any of us. It didn't seem very clean and was not updated. The air conditioning was very old. They seemed very disorganized, and it took them a while for the staff to come to meet us. One staff was pleasant and answered our questions, but everybody else was kind of like tunnel vision and did not interact with us a whole lot. The staff wasn't not welcoming, but they didn't go out of their way to say "hi" and introduce themselves or anything like that. Not all the rooms had air conditioning. The place needed a deep clean and a new updo. There was a smell to it. There's a lot of carpeting and lots of very old furniture. The decor was just outdated.

When we visited Traditions of Hershey, we were looking into the independent living community that they have there. It was very good and we were impressed with everything. We got to take a look at one of the apartments and I was very pleased with the apartment's layout, especially in the bathroom, as far as the shower layout. It was an easy walk-in shower layout instead of having to step into a tub or something like that. Everything was very clean and very modern. The staff we met were all super, super nice. We even got to talk to some of the residents that currently live there. They all had nothing but good things to say and how much they enjoyed living there. Overall, we were impressed by it. The staff is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very friendly. They seem to go out of their way to know their residents and be there for them and we were impressed by that. They could tell if something was off with a resident, and they would ask them, "How is your day? Is everything okay? You seem a little down". They seemed to be attentive to their residents. We got a tour of the dining room and kind of got an idea of what their menus look like but we didn't get to try any of it.

I liked the way Traditions of Hershey was made. The rooms were nice, and it looks like it's good for my in-laws. The lady showed me everything they do with therapy activities and all the stuff that they have. I'm pretty sure my father-in-law, particularly, will enjoy that. My mother-in-law is 90% blind and they'll bring her out and try to help her. So, they will offer more for them. The staff was very pleasant. Even the lady who lived in another room was very sweet.

My wife and I both have gone down and visited Traditions of Hershey in person. A girl named Bree had taken us around, and it looked like a really nice facility. It looked like it was well-staffed and very clean. All the residents that we saw, seemed to be having a great day. It looked like it included everything that my mom would be looking for. It's easy to access too, that's for sure. I know it has been around, but I don't know how long it's been there. We actually get our vehicle serviced alongside it. I know from coming and going over the years, that it's been there for a little while. What we were looking for was independent living. They have a call button in the bathroom there for the residents. Everything seemed to be pretty good. There's probably just a couple of things that the other two independent living places we visited have, that Traditions don't have. The staff that toured us around was definitely very helpful. They have a library. They take them out on outings throughout the week to different places. There are also a lot of in-house activities going on. It's quite a full calendar from what I could see.

I have moved into Traditions of Hershey. It has been four months now. The overall experience is wonderful. The overall community is excellent as far as the management staff. The non-management staff is all very caring good people. If there's something that would come up, it's taken care of immediately. They are there for you. My room is luxurious. Every day they have various functions that you can attend to keep yourself busy. They have a movie theater, and they have people coming in two and three times a week. It's just very good. The maintenance staff is very good. They are on the ball 100% at the time. If you need any assistance with anything, they're there to take care of you. I would give the food a double A-plus. The staff is terrific. Everything is great.

Traditions of Hershey was a beautiful building. We looked at the one-bedroom and it was a nice size and laid out very nicely. We liked it. The staff was very nice, too. You could tell that they were used to working with older people. They listen to you, are very polite, and understand what older people need and like. The only thing was, the cost was more than what we could do, but otherwise, it was such a nice place.

We went to Traditions of Hershey. We toured the assisted living, but they have a lot of different models of that. The tour was very good. The facility is awesome. Their activities and the way they make them available in big print, hand-delivered to the individuals in the facility as well as posted in large print in the elevators, I thought that was good. The upkeep was very good. The food smelled great; it was breakfast time. The room was very nice. The layout was easy. The common areas were well kept and well maintained.

We're moving my mom to Traditions of Hershey assisted living this Friday. It seems very well set up. They seem to have everything that she needs in terms of physical therapy and personal care. The room seems pretty big. We're looking at a 1-bedroom which seems very well set up and has a kitchen. It just seems very intuitive the way it's set up and how they're willing to take doors on and off. Their rooms are large enough too. We've mostly been assisted by two staff, but when I was there, I talked to other staff too. I was there a couple of times, first by myself and then with my mother. We got a really good feeling about it. My mom's on a very particular diet and the dietician came back with everything that she could do like diet samples and other ways that she could probably help us. I was surprised about how quickly she got back to us. We were still there in the meeting and she was coming back there with everything. The arrangement that we made there is that my mom's going to be ordering food. Some of the places, even when she's ordering food, weren't willing to heat the food for her there so that she could eat it in the dining room. In Traditions, they're willing to do that and serve her in the dining room. If she's not feeling well, because she's got stage 4 diabetes, they're willing to even take it to her room. They have other people who are there willing to do appointments too. They have other people there who are going through treatments so if she ever gets to a point where she needs dialysis, it's nice to know that she can get the appointments she would need. They have this great rec room with some of the stuff she's interested in but one of the things that she gravitated to is the skeeball machine that she could do even if she's in a wheelchair. We have kids that like to come to visit too so that'll be awesome. Plus, they have a real game room with cards and games. The 1-bedrooms are the farthest away from the dining rooms, I wish they were closer. That's all that is difficult though. Other than that, everything is great.

The person I met at Traditions of Hershey was very informative, they gave me a good tour of the facilities, and they gave me an overview of what they have to offer there. I'd say it was a positive experience. It was the assisted living part that I toured, and the only person I met was the admissions person, who was nice. We looked into the dining area, but I did not try the food or anything like that, since it was in between mealtimes. The dining area was a nice setup for that type of facility. While I was touring, they were showing a movie, and that was the only activity I saw. There's a hair salon, laundry facilities, and a therapy gym on site.

Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming at Traditions of Hershey. It was just a very nice place overall, and the staff was excellent. The rooms were very nice too. They had new carpet, a big refrigerator, and nice windows with an overlook. They have many programs. They take them out for breakfast, they have bowling, they bring in bands, and they have Bible study and lots of different things. We had lunch there yesterday. We had fish and ham, and both were very good. Overall, I felt like it would make a very good home for my brother, because everybody was so welcoming, they were talking to him like they already knew him, and they made him feel special.

We saw the whole Traditions of Hershey facility, took a nice tour, and got a booklet. We were impressed; we'd rate it excellent. The staff who gave the tour are very good. It's a very well kept, beautiful setting and clean. They take very good care of it, it's only 12 years old and everything is very, very well kept. We only met 2-3 people; the receptionist and the coordinator. You can see people gathered in the foyer getting ready to go to lunch.

We toured Traditions of Hershey and met the person who walked us around, Marisa, and she was nice. They seemed like they had good activities going on. They have hands-on and passive activities every day and entertainment once a week. They said they have an RN on every shift too. The rooms were OK, but they could probably be updated. The place was a little homey, and the residents were friendly.

I liked Traditions of Hershey. It was a nice facility. It's just a little hard right now with COVID. We didn't see any of the residents because of that. We walked around and we looked at a room that no one was in. There wasn't much that we could do at the time because of social distancing. It was clean, though, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It would have been a place that my mom would have enjoyed being in.

My friend moved into Traditions of Hershey. It seems like the right place for him. It is close to his friends, and it is just a nice place. His 1-bedroom apartment is great. He likes the food, and the staff is easy to work with and very helpful. The place is on lockdown because of Covid, so there's some temporary restriction right now. Other than that, it is fine.

We went to the Traditions of Hershey. I thought it was nice. I only met one person, but she was delightful, and the room was good and very nice. The bedrooms were spacious; the living room was not. The facade of the place was beautiful and very impressive. It seemed friendly and I liked it. I think the cost was reasonable.

Traditions of Hershey is a very nice facility. The rooms were generous with high ceiling and lots of lights. The young lady who showed us around was personable, patient, and never made me feel rushed. She showed us an empty unit and a furnished unit. She followed up by calling and asking if we had what we needed and told us about availabilities. There's lots of nice things going on. They did a pretty good job with social distancing and they have had no COVID incidents. I was looking at independent and personal care, but it would have been the lowest level of personal care, but since, my father declined enough that he would not qualify for Tradition. This facility will allow my mother to live with my father in a personal care apartment, but their rules for personal care is if you start to decline while you are there they will take care of you and will just escalate how much you are going to pay and how much extra assistance you get. But when you enter personal care you have to be a walking, ambulatory individual, and my father was no longer walking when he left the hospital. We did not go into any of the places where people eat, the library, or any of those common areas because of the quarantine, but she did have a virtual tour on her computer of all of the common spaces so we could see that.

After four years, my brother Ralph, has been a resident here at Tradition’s assisted living. We have nothing but extreme praise for all of the staff that has taken excellent personal care of him. They were very kind to him. He had his limitations but the staff knew how to attend to his needs. We would highly recommend this place to those of you looking for a caring place for your loved one to live.

The entire staff is awesome. Very loving and caring From the kitchen to maintenance, personal care unit and management. They cared for my mother in law to a quality second to none. We are very pleased with their personal attention to her and us, the family. If I could give them a 10 star I would. You won’t go wrong with putting the care of a loved one in their hands. They provide great activities And entertainment. Rick the bus driver worked with us to get Mom to drs appointments even if it wasn’t on scheduled days. Lauren the activities director, had first class entertainment. The kitchen provides wonderful food. If you can’t find something great to eat, you are way to picky. Their salad bar alone is awesome. Home made soups, at least 2 different entree’s. Everything was cooked to perfection. No mushy veggies with no flavor. I will stop now, just can’t say enough about this place. One more thing, their rent prices are also reasonable for what they provide, better than any other place we checked out. Tracey M.

My parents moved into Traditions earlier this year. It is very well-organized, they are completely happy with the amenities, and everything that's offered to them. The staff is always very cheerful, very helpful, and answer any questions they may have. They have a very lovely 1-bedroom apartment, and they offer a very nice dining hall, an area where they can watch movies, exercise, and a beauty shop. It's a complete facility, and close to my home. They have the best price I could find for my parents.

We made arrangements for the Traditions of Hershey, and we are moving in this month. The people are nice. They will be serving two meals a day. There are a dozen different activities there. We will be in independent living. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We looked at a 1-bedroom, it was very nice, upscale, and that's what we chose. There were no ceiling fans in the room, but they're willing to put them in at no expense to us.

Traditions of Hershey is a very lovely, clean, kept-up place. The staff is very helpful, very kind, and compassionate. My mother shares a suite and that's very much like an apartment, not a nursing home, so it's very nice.

My mother was a resident at Traditions for 3 years. It was a perfect fit for her--her lovely apartment afforded her privacy but the activities and dining room gave her the opportunity to socialize with others on a regular basis. The staff was always kind and helpful! It is a caring community and my family would highly recommend it to others!

Traditions of Hershey is very nice, and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The layout of the room is very accessible, and there are handles in the bathroom. It is roomy, nice, and clean, but compact. It's very sunny in Dad's room, and it's really nice. The place is modern and pleasant, and the food is good.

Traditions of Hershey assisted living was very nice and updated and was in a nice location. The rooms were small and a bit pricey for my mom to afford. Other than that, the place was excellent. There was a dining room conveniently located for the assisted living residents. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew the ins and outs of the assisted living part.

Traditions of Hershey is an independent living facility that does provide services in terms of personal care. My mother does receive some of those services which she really needs. They served lunch and dinner in the dining room, and they help the residents with getting food. It’s a very nice place. They have therapy and a beauty shop on site, and they provide entertainment.

My mom is in Tradition of Hershey. I like that it is clean, and it has a convenient location. She has been there for 6 years now. She is in a shared room, but she has options. I will recommend it for independent care because they have a lot of activities, and the staff is pleasant.

I am living in Traditions of Hershey and it nice. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen. It is very nice with large living room, lots of big windows and closets. Small pets are allowed and I have a cat here. The staff is wonderful. Two meals a day are included in the rent and they are good enough for me. There are a lot of activities here. Our activities director is excellent. We have all kinds of games. We have beautiful game room with a pool table. There is a theater with a screen for showing dvds and movies. They have a bus and we go to trips. We go to sight and sound theater to see movies last week.

My Mother has been a resident since Traditions of Hershey opened. We've both been VERY pleased with the staff, the activities, the building and the care. The staff are highly professional, and are exceptionally committed to their work, as well as the residents. The building is very clean and beautiful, and every security option is in place to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Staff communication is also warm, respectful and responsive. We couldn't be happier or more confident in our decision!
