"The nurses are always busy and hard to get when you need them. Most are friendly. Administration seems to be overworked but most are friendly too. The social worker was always helpful and made herself available and the admissions was very friendly too!!!"

"Employees really do care. They want to provide good service. Grandparents lived here recently and were taken care of better than at another local place. Each place seems to have good and bad things. This one just got some bad publicity because of the sale. They do have 4 people in some rooms and 2 in others. "

"My mom is in skilled care at ManorCare. They’re very good to Mother, who is a problem patient; she’s a little demanding. ManorCare is a very clean place. Of course, my mother can’t be pleased by anything, anywhere, anytime, and any year. We pop in unexpectedly all the time, and she is very well taken care of 24/7. They have entertainment every day and keep residents very busy. She is allowed to go out to visit. They have nice screened-in rooms and sun porches, and physical therapy, doctors, footcare, and a hairdresser. Everything is right-on in the facility. I will give them a 5 because they have more patience and tolerance than I could have. I haven’t eaten their food, but it looks wonderful. These places are expensive, but they have worked with me very patiently and very diligently to get me all kinds of assistance. They have just been marvelous to work with. They know things in and out better than I do. "

"Masonic Village was a lovely place. It was absolutely beautiful but a little financially out of our reach. Inside was immaculate and very luxurious. The staff was very accommodating. I did observe activities, but I didn’t go into detail because of cost effectiveness, so there was no sense of taking up more of their time or mine. The dining area was exquisite. You definitely get your money’s worth if you can afford it. However, it was not cost effective nor something that my mother could afford. "

"My mom is in a nursing home now. She is at Conestoga View. The care is very good for her. The staff members are very good. They treat her well. Communication is usually once a week. My mom is comfortable in her room. She has dementia and she can't walk, so she pretty much stays in bed. We're very pleased with the facility."

"My husband was in another nursing home. Then he got sick and he had TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) and they put him back in the hospital. When they're talking about releasing him, I had to find other places so I tried to see what Lancashire Nursing was like. And I was looking for something closer to home. The facility is huge. The owner of the place gave me a tour. It holds about 265 to 275 people. There were people in wheelchairs up and down all the halls. There were people everywhere, so I just thought that would be too much for my husband. Another thing is they don't have TVs in their rooms, but you can bring your own. That would never work because that's how he passes the time. Their physical therapy was very nice and the rooms were fairly good size. The whole place was clean. It's just so busy and I couldn't imagine my husband being there. "

"I was recently a patient at Manor Care Kingston Court York Pa. It was the fifth facility I was at due to my condition. By far I consider this facility the best. The care was outstanding from the moment I arrived until the time of my discharge. The CNA'a and Nurses were kind considerate and compassionate at all times. I commend the following employees for their professionalism with my care: CNA's Danny, Megan, Brittany, Sam, Abby, Tamra and Tonya, Nurses Tammy, Rebecca, Brooke, Calzare, Connie, and Kristine. The OT AND PT staff were second to none. Their program offered me the opportunity to gain strength, coordination and techniques to get around in my home with little or no help. A special thanks for the outstanding efforts of the following: OT staff John and Katie. PT staff Donna, Jen, and Heather. These employee taught me the ability to transition home with mnimal efforts. Again an outstanding facility. "

"My parents had been living in The Glen for about a year now. The nursing care and the moral support that the staff are giving is excellent. The food is excellent and the facility is lovely. "

"My mother moved in already in Brethren Village. We chose it because of the location and the facilities. The staff is excellent. They answer all of our questions, were very attentive, very responsive to any concerns that we had, and very concerned about making sure that she was happy. She's in rehab right now. She's in about a 12x12 room and there are two rooms that share one bath. She will be in personal care there next week. There's a difference between personal care and assisted living, but it's just a step up. They get a little more help than in assisted living. The dining area is excellent. They have physical therapy there. It's like a four-hotel hotel, and it's very expensive. It costs as much as a cruise ship, but obviously, you're not on a cruise. Judging by other people that we talked to who had relatives in a similar situation, the price is right in line with every place else. It's just surprising that it costs as much as a cruise ship. We're very happy with the way everything has gone so far."

"I did not have a good experience with my mother's move to nursing care in Arbor View for six months. They need updating and I did not find the staff helpful and nice to my mother or to us. "
