"Autumn House East seemed a little dated so I wasn't sure at first, but when I got in there, the staff was welcoming and very informative on our tour. I met with the person who did the intake and she interviewed me and answered my questions. She was very, very polite, very open, and very honest about the site and what they could offer to my mother. It's located right across the street where Walmart is. There are lots of different restaurants nearby and places to go shopping. We walked through the whole community and I got to meet some residents. It was very clean and very nice. Everybody seemed very comfortable. She invited us back for food and to have my mom come and have lunch. So, they were very, very accommodating. They have a nice courtyard and what's nice about it, too, is you don't hear the sounds of the traffic on the main road. It's very, very quiet."

"We moved our father here when his care needs exceeded what we could provide at home. He had a nice size room, and the staff was very caring. "

"My Mum has been here 22 months and has had the most amazing treatment. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Her room is clean, bright, homely. Lovely bathroom with shower. I am so glad she is living here. I would highly recommend this community to anyone who is seeking a home for their loved one!"

"I have visited Autumn House West, they're very professional and very helpful. It was during COVID so things were a little stricter, but we were allowed to bring personal items at that time and we were allowed to visit during normal hours during the day. We're impressed with how professional the staff was. The layout was a little larger than I thought and they simply have the needs that we needed at the time. What was there was sufficient. They have a small common space. I think the food was pretty standard, it wasn't extraordinary by any means, like a restaurant. But it wasn't like hospital food."

"I toured Celebration Villa of York. I like that it's smaller. It's probably like a one-on-one or two-to-one ratio, I like that it's nice and small. Jennifer was excellent. I thought it was clean. It was nice. For me and my mom, it's a thing of money, to get a studio it was like $5500, so that's kind of a little expensive. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice, and answered all of our questions."

"My Granny was a resident of Linden Village and also my husbands Great Grandmother and both received excellent care. Everyone from the front office staff, the nurses and the caregivers were very caring, kind and helpful. It made the transition for our loved ones and our family very easy. The rooms where just the right size. They both enjoyed all the activities. Linden Village has beautiful Courtyards for the residents to walk."

"This facility took excellent care of my late mother who had dementia. She was only there from June 2011 until her death, end of March 2012. They were able to communicate with her in her dementia state of 23 yrs. of age even though she was 90. My siblings and I feel blest that they made her last few months on earth enjoyable w/their outings and activities and kept a good watch on her health and personal care while she lived there. I would recommend this personal care home to anyone w/parents who need to be cared for around the clock. They treated her w/respect, caring help that she needed and love as if she were one of their own family member. They also allowed her to stay there to die w/dignity--which would have been even harder for her and my family to have had to move her into a nursing home. They went out of their way to accomplish this and gave her privacy from the other residents. I only wished both my dad and mother could have lived there together for a few years before we had to admit her after my father's passing last year.. "

"I did quite a bit of research before we placed my parents in Victorian Villa. We were looking for a facility where my father and mother could be together. There are a lot of places that don't have the space for a couple. My mother looks 10 years younger since she moved there. They take such good care of their residents. She needs to be on a gluten-free diet and they would go way out of their way to accommodate her. They have family nights every now and then. My sister's been over there and she said the food is quite good. It's a small facility. There's only 40 people, so they can give a lot of individual attention. It's always clean, so neat, and there's plenty of staff. There's always someone there. You always see someone around in case they need help. My father has passed, but they went out of their way to meet his needs as well right up till the end. So we're very, very pleased and we feel blessed that we found such a nice facility for our parents. "

"Juniper Village is clean. Dad has a unit on the second floor across from the rec center. The unit has a walk-in shower and lift chairs. The staff member who showed us around was very nice and very helpful. I didn't have any problems with her. There's a card game every Thursday night and movie nights. My dad is moving in this July."

"My mother moved into Brookdale Harrisburg. I have no issues, except she's a coffee drinker, and at some level, some of those patients would be able to have a microwave. Her care is great, the food is great, people are very friendly, and you couldn't ask for more friendly and caring nurses and aides. I think they can update the carpet a little bit."

"It gives us great peace of mind knowing our loved one is taken care of. Going through this process of finding a place for a senior as well as finding a place that you can trust to really take care of someone is not easy. Once that decision is made and you go through that transition to knowing you made the right decision. The management team has assured that this process has been smooth. They helped prepare us with the the realistic things that we may all go through. Couldn't ask for a better experience for something so difficult."

"The Crossings at West Shore is brand-new and I like that they have an RN on staff during the day. The rooms and apartments were beautiful, they were sunny, and they have two windows a bedroom and in the living area. They also have many models, so you can go from 333 square feet to 745 square feet, which is the biggest room. They have granite countertops, a full refrigerator, microwave, and I can move in there in a heartbeat. They also have independent living, personal care, and memory care. The person who gave me the tour was great, the activities director was wonderful, and they answered all of my questions honestly. They have physical therapy and a lot of activities, although not as many as the other community we visited. I took my mom on a Fourth of July picnic there and we had hamburgers and hotdogs. The food is farm-to-table, so it's fine. The place is visually beautiful, guaranteed. The staff is knowledgeable and understanding, which is a big thing."

"I visited the facility about 2 weeks ago and was impress on the care the medical staff gives to their residents. They where also kind and gentle and very concern on their well being. I came around lunch time, so I was offered to have lunch with my family member that I was visiting but I decline didn't want to take away from the resident but I'm sorry I did because it look amazing. I was totally satisfied with the whole decor of the place and would definitely recommend to anyone whole wants their love ones to be well taken care of. "

"My mom is in skilled care at ManorCare. They’re very good to Mother, who is a problem patient; she’s a little demanding. ManorCare is a very clean place. Of course, my mother can’t be pleased by anything, anywhere, anytime, and any year. We pop in unexpectedly all the time, and she is very well taken care of 24/7. They have entertainment every day and keep residents very busy. She is allowed to go out to visit. They have nice screened-in rooms and sun porches, and physical therapy, doctors, footcare, and a hairdresser. Everything is right-on in the facility. I will give them a 5 because they have more patience and tolerance than I could have. I haven’t eaten their food, but it looks wonderful. These places are expensive, but they have worked with me very patiently and very diligently to get me all kinds of assistance. They have just been marvelous to work with. They know things in and out better than I do. "
