"My father-in-law has moved into Linden Village Senior Living Community. Everybody is friendly there. It's close to where we live, so that's a plus. They are very helpful. My father-in-law's room has a bed and dressers. If you want a TV, you have to provide your own, which is fine. They provide soap, towels, sheets, and all the linens and stuff. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. They gave us a calendar for the whole month of July and all the activities that are going on. They have a big courtyard so they can go out. They have an awning out on the porch."

"We can't say enough about Celebration Villas. The care the staff shows is real. They really make you feel like your at home, not institutionalized. Great activities which family members are invited to participate in if they'd like. Our family member went from being at a place where he was inactive and zombie- like, to where he dances, plays bingo, went along to a baseball game they arranged and more. He also tells me the food is great! Most important is that he is happy. So glad he's there. Grateful thank you to the entire staff"

"We visited Harmony At Hershey. It was okay, but it's a multistory building where you have to use an elevator, and the hallways were pretty long. Additionally, the number of seniors it housed was a little too high for us. The rooms were very beautiful. It's a little more expensive, and they have a lot of a la carte extras. You pay more for each thing, whereas other places include laundry and cleaning services. The amenities are very nice. They have hair salons, a movie theater, outdoor space, and other nice features. They also have a game room, which is a bit larger than the ones at other places. Lisa was very knowledgeable, and it's a newer building."

"I toured Oak Hill Village. It was very nice. They didn't have a one-bedroom or a studio apartment. My sister would only have been able to get a one-bedroom place, but it was more money than what she could afford. The staff who gave the tour was very nice though. They're very good people."

"On July 20, 2023 my dad had a fall. After being hospitalized and inpatient rehab, we felt he needed 30 days in assisted living. This was devastating to us both as my dad is very independent. Melissa jumped in and made the process of having dad placed at Viva so comforting. Anytime, I need anything Melissa and Millie are always there fore me along with the other staff. I cannot say enough about Viva and their staff, they make you feel like family. "

"I toured Juniper Village at Mount Joy. It's a feeling when you go in, everything looks clean and neat and very accommodating. The only negative would have been the cost, the location, and the room arrangement. It was with a couple and we're looking for a suite and they couldn't do that. I was looking for two living spaces and they could only offer a suite in assisted living. The staff was great."

"My wife is a resident of Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County Paramount. The people that take care of her really like all the patients that they have. They are very friendly. The place is a really nice place, but it's too far away from us. It's the same food that they give you in the hospital. The food is okay. The facility is very clean. They have guess-that-tune and another one is religious activities. They take them out for tours around the area. They had quite a few activities. The room is pretty good size and the layout is okay, too. The atmosphere is okay."

"My mother will be moving into Legend of Lititz. We chose it because of the proximity to where she lives now, the amenities that they offer, the price, and because a room opened up. I liked the friendliness and the welcoming attitude. The only staff members I met so far have been the social worker and the secretary. They offer a lot. A movie theater, a salon for haircare, and podiatrists are all available. The dining room was set up almost like a restaurant. It seemed really nice."

"My Great-Uncle has been living at Oak Leaf Manor (Landisville) for about a year. I have visited him at least twice a week since he has been there, so I am very familiar with Oak Leaf. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There is plenty of outside seating including two gazebo's. There is also an outside picnic area and nice walkways for the residents. The interior is wonderfully decorated for whatever season it happens to be. There is also a water fountain inside that is quite nice so sit around and relax. The dining room is nicely laid out and the food is good. The residents rooms are spacious and clean. The staff at Oak Leaf Manor is very friendly and caring. If any problems arise, the staff do their best to accommodate you as quickly as possible. There are a lot of activities for the residents, including BINGO, a theater room, scenic bus rides, crafts, and veterans activities. Overall Oak Leaf Manor has a very comfortable friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for a home for a loved one who can no longer live alone, I highly recommend Oak Leaf Manor. "

"I'm in Keystone Villa at Ephrata. The people that serve me food are very nice. The food is A1. I have a good working relationship with the person that cleans my apartment. I have lots of friends here that I enjoy. Before I came here, I was in a very bad situation. My wife passed away and I was alone. Since I've been here, I got out of my phone and came back to my old self. So, I owe Keystone a lot. They have a pool table and a shuffleboard table. I go upstairs and shoot pool with some people. They have a cinema. On Fridays, you can drink two beers and relax and enjoy their company. It's just an all-around great place. I get out and I drive around in my Corvette. I have fun with that. This place got me started. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a nice little kitchen, a nice living room, a very big bathroom, and a nice shower. They allow me to keep my cat and dog. My cat and dog are in the apartment with me. The overall staff is great. I haven't met a person I didn't like. The residents are great. We tease each other and have fun. I'm spoiled rotten. What I had for dessert today was cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. They don't just ship the food in, they cook it right here and that's a big difference. I had Salisbury steak today and mashed potatoes and beans and then they have a salad bar. You just can't beat this place. The inside is beautiful. I don't know too much about the activities because I'm hardly here, but the ones I do go to are really nice. It's a good value."

"My visit to the Legend of Lancaster was just really cool. When I walked in there, it almost felt like home. Everybody was so friendly. The sales director was amazing. There was a sign that had my name on it to welcome me. It was a wonderful experience. I was given a folder and talked through all of the different things that are offered and the price points. Everything was explained very well and clearly. They had a beauty shop and a little spa room, which had a tub in it. If someone wanted to do a bath-type situation, they could have assistance with that. The activity area was nice. It was very cool to see all the different offerings of activities. They provide transportation to get residents to and from certain places. The staff was very friendly. They knew all the residents and were talking to them by name. It was just a very loving and caring environment."

"My mother is in Evergreen Estates Retirement Community. Everything I needed, they were OK to do, especially the price. She's under the care of assisted living. The staff is very good. They do everything for her. They do stuff that keeps the residents busy. They offer everything that she needs, and they take care of them. In their regular suites they have everything, but in their suites for the mentally disabled they don't have any amenities. It's very clean. It's near restaurants and maybe ten blocks from the hospital."

"The staff were extremely great to be around. Since it’s a small community everyone got to know each other and it was very fun to see my grandma get to be cheerful and lively during her last few months there. It was everything we needed for her. I knew she was in great hands seeing the staff welcome her with open arms. For being a small community, it sure is a wonderful place to be at."

"My father moved into Brookdale Grandon Farms. It just seemed like the best fit for him. Everyone that I spoke with has helped me a lot through this whole process. I couldn't have done it without them. His room is very nice and very spacious. He's in a one room by himself, and they keep it clean. They take care of the property. The staff has been wonderful. They're good with the residents. You can tell that the residents like them, and they have a good relationship with each other. So far, I don't have a complaint about any of them. The food is very good. They do dog therapy twice a week. They have exercise, yoga, and music."

"I toured Harmony at West Shore. It wasn't as large as the other facility, so that felt a little less overwhelming. It's very clean. They have a great two living spaces for assisted living. It was a better feeling. It was not quite as small and cozy as the other facility, but I put it down in my list of top five. If someone was looking for assisted living, it was definitely worth a look. I was satisfied with the staff."
