"Cornwall Manor is very nice, but it's pricey. I have friends there. They have rooms, apartments, and cottages. It's a very large facility. The staff was friendly. They have a nurse on call every day. Most of my friends are in independent living. You can be as independent as you want or as active as you want in their activities. I think they even have a golf course. They have a lot of walks and parties but no liquor. It's a very nice place. "

"I toured Londonderry Village. They have a restaurant, a pool, and bus trips. The places are beautiful, especially the new ones, but they're more expensive. The receptionist was very nice. However, the money they want upfront is absolutely out of this world."

"I was at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing At Campbelltown for therapy. The staff was great. The food could be improved on, but they have it tailored for everybody in the place, so they're limited in what they can do in terms of salt, seasonings, and stuff. They've been working on improving what they have there. The girls that ran the activities department were really good, and the people who did the therapy were good, but the kind of therapy was limited because of the kind of place that it was."

"The rooms were great.Had a great care team that took care of me and wonderful staff. The therapist were really great they really worked good with me.The food was good.I would say if anything asked me that this a highly recommended place to go."

"We picked out Mount Hope Nazarene for my father in-law. It’s a nice home that’s good for his low income. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean and had a very caring staff. The clientele looked to be quite pleased and werre really treated as family. The staff was willing to take the time for each specific person. It’s been a pleasure talking to them, and they were very helpful, assisting, and did their best to get him a room. It was very clean, and when you go in, it smells good. "

"Stoneridge was clean, they seemed organized, and it was a nice environment. The staff was attentive and friendly. The grounds were well-maintained and taken care of. It’s off the main highway and seems quiet. "

"Pleasant View Communities was very lovely, but it's more expensive than what we wanted to pay. They have a lot of good programs. There were bus trips that you could take, like to the grocery store. They have a dining room, a pool, and equipment that you can exercise. They have a lot of good things going on there. It's a very big home and they are now building more homes. The lady that took us around was very good, but we didn't meet any other staff. We ate in the restaurant that they have there, and that was very good."

"United Zion Retirement Community is very clean and well-kept. Their food is very good. They could use a little more staff. They're very nice, but each person has plenty to do. It doesn't have a swimming pool or some of the health things that other places have. I think the cost is a little less because of that. It's very well established. It's been here a long time. They have local people doing the cooking. I know they have invited some of the people who are in independent living to come into the kitchen and help them prepare food. They allow some of that, such as green beans, that they just need to have the ends snipped off and broken into pieces, things like that, not necessarily things that they would need to use a knife. I don't think they do a lot of trips and things like that. It's a very good value because it's a very safe place and very low key and I think that makes it very safe. There's nothing here I would improve. It's very secure. I chose it because of availability and reasonable rates plus their reputation here in town is excellent. They will be opening a new building and have 36 new apartments."

"Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital was a really fantastic rehab community. It's an acute care place and I went there straight from the hospital. It's not as fancy inside as the other places I have been to, but it's state-of-the-art, and it's not a nursing home or assisted living place. The food was really good and I was always amazed with the quality of the food there. They tell you the choices on their menus early so that you can decide for the next few days or next week. You can mark down extra stuff, special items or substitutes available if you don't like anything they have that day."

"My grandmother is currently a resident of this facility. My grandmother recently had a stroke while in their care. The residents called my father right away. They set her up with physical therapy to help her with any damage done during the stroke. When I have been over to visit her everyone calls her by her name. When she stops and introduces me to any of the workers, they always send time asking me questions and pretending it was the first time they met me. I have also witnessed the workers with other residents. I have never seen a worker not address a resident by their name. There is a nurse there who my grandmother always talks about. Apparently this particular nurse spends time with my grandmother and has even played Scrabble with her in the nurse's spare time. I would definitely recommend Moravian Manor to any one searching for a place for their loved ones. The people who work here definitely take the time to know and care for their residents. "

"My father has been at Audubon Villa since April 2011. They have all single rooms which is very nice to have your privacy. He is receiving very good care and the nurses and aides are very caring, helpful and nice. They listen and address all his requests. He also enjoys the good food & selections. When I have questions the nurses are very willing to listen and give me updates or guidance. Audubon Villa is a very small facility located on Broad Street in Lititz. For our family it is very convenient. My father was at another facility I won't mention and we were not satisfied. We are very glad we made the change to Audubon Villa. As a caregiver you have a lot of decisions to make and they are not easy and often need to be made very quickly when someone is in the hospital. I would recommend checking with Audubon Villa if you have a loved one that needs that special skilled nursing care. "

"We went to an open house at Luther Acres. We tasted the food, and we visited different apartments. They were renovating a lot of the older parts. Everything was very nice. They had a lot of activities. It's out of our price range though. They have a movie room and restaurants. Their apartments were a little bigger than the ones at the other facility. The lower priced ones were bigger and they have full kitchens. You have your choice of eating in your own apartment or you can go to different dining rooms or restaurants. They have a pub where you can get what you want but they have separate dining rooms if you want to go down and eat. The staff members who were helping with the open house all seemed very nice. They have a fantastic chef. It's in a country setting. It's on the outskirts, just outside of Lititz."
