"Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is a phenomenal, beautiful, huge place. What they have available for retired citizens is just unbelievable. They have swimming pools, wellness centers, and 1,400 acres I can walk my dog on. There aren't any minuses at this point. They feed you and clean your apartment. You can't beat that. We were running into problems with the other places because nobody wanted to take our dog and our cat. "

"Landis Homes was really good. Everything looks relatively new, the whole thing was about 10 years old. There was a farmer with six mules pulling equipment across the street when we were there, which was very fascinating. It had nothing to do with the community but that's the location where it was. They had a nice bistro and everything looked neat and clean. They had good staff members and it was good. They had everything that all others have like good food, a bistro, nice activities, and good health care provider when you need that. We were looking for independent living but they have the whole continuum of care. We didn't dare eat anything there, really, because they didn't have it open because of the COVID business. You could have gone to the bistro, but we weren't there for mealtimes, so we didn't do that. The facilities are beautiful, state-of-the-art and I appreciated the signs in their front yards. It has values that they translate both in action and in verbiage on the front lines in a discreet way so that's nice."

"My father-in-law lives at Garden Spot Village. It has nice scenery. I like the dining room because they have great food. They also have private dining rooms where you can have small parties. When my mother-in-law passed away, we had a service there. The rooms are big and up-to-date. "

"The senior apartment building where I live arranged for a tour of the Senior Life facility in York, near the Galleria Mall. While there, we toured the medical center, the rehab room, and ate lunch in the cafeteria. We were served the same lunch as the participators in their program. Senior Life is a program that provides day care for seniors with health problems, dementia, and health care for seniors who join their program. They provide medication, health care on site, rehab, programs for senior interaction, and meals. The meal was very good, the facility extremely clean and well run. My husband and I plan to become part of their program. There are no monthly fees, with all cost being provided by Medicare. It has everything a senior would need for excellent care while aging. "
