Assisted Living Communities in Eaton, OH

"Aaron's Garden Senior Living & Memory Care was beautiful. It was great. There was nothing wrong with the community, but we wanted a single apartment for my father. We did not want a bedroom where he would walk out into the hallway. It was a beautiful setup. He loved it as far as if he was at that point to go there at a different time, yes, but not at this stage in his life. The people during the tour were very pleasant. It's very clean. The common areas were very pleasant."

"From what i could tell Gardon Manor was a really nice assisted living facility.All of the employees were really nice and knew exactly how to take care of there patient. I heard about all these nursing homes that had nurses in them that would beat there patients,nothing like that as ever happened here at gardon manor to my knowledge. Its a great home its were my Grandma mas put,and its were i wanna be put. "

"Bickford of Middletown is very nice. They had activities and different areas, but it was a little less secure. They had walking paths, and it was more an open campus style so people could roam a little bit more. The only problem with them was they didn’t have an opening, and you would have to go on a waiting list. As far as the facility, I would have had no problems with it. It would have probably met my parents’ needs. "

"We were quite pleased with Brookdale Oakwood. The lady who assisted us was very nice, she took time to take us around, and we got all the information that we were looking for. We also got copies of the entrance paperwork and prices. The community wasn't very old. It was in good shape and appeared to be well taken care of. It's not really a huge facility. They have a little bistro or ice cream shop, it's a gathering place for them. The place was well-appointed."

"I toured The Carlyle House Assisted Living Community. It's a small independently owned facility, and it was recommended by our attorney for assisted living and memory care. There wasn't any availability there. I did look at their assisted living apartments, very nice, with a very small kitchen, and food area, but it was all very nice. I did go over and look at the memory care area. It's a small facility. The person who assisted me was friendly and had lots of information."

"I liked the size of Trustwell Living at Oakley Place. It was smaller and all on one level, so it presented a home-like atmosphere. Everybody was very nice and their programs were good. The staff who gave me the tour was not just professional, but she was very kind and very helpful in answering questions. We enjoyed her. We toured the rooms very nicely and thoroughly. We saw the eating areas and different rooms, and everything was very nice and clean. But the bedrooms were older and smaller."

"I toured Fairmont of Washington Township and they had started making improvements in their facility under the new management. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very knowledgeable and was able to answer a lot of my questions. I also felt that much of the staff interacted with me throughout the tour. The place was a little bit smaller. They had a gym, a salon, and an outdoor area."

"I toured Beehive Homes of Liberty Township. I liked the fact that they were small-scale. I felt like if I'd been there I could have gotten more one-on-one and more personal attention. It was a very clean facility. The staff was very caring. I have no experience with them, but just from what I observed, they seemed nice and caring."

"One of my closest friends is now living at Optimized Senior Living in Kettering OH. The facility and residents rooms are very clean and well maintained."

"My mother will be moving into Otterbein Lebanon. The tour was great. I have lived in Lebanon my entire life and I did not know that Otterbein had what it has. I liked all they had to offer for the seniors to do. They won't be just sitting in a house by themselves unless they want to do that. There's a lot for them to do there. It's very nicely laid out and well taken care of. The staff was very informative. He didn't leave anything out. It was very clean. I actually saw a couple of maintenance guys out doing their thing."

"I toured Brookdale Kettering. It seemed clean and well-priced for the right people. It's a nice place that you could go to. The staff was competent and very helpful. The dining area seemed fine. However, we wanted more parking for our automobiles."

"My father has been a part of the Optimized family for almost two years and yes it is truly a family. I was in a tough spot trying to find a good facility and after touring multiple places I was informed of Optimized Senior Living and I feel the man above was looking out for all of us. The entire experience, from the first walk through to this very day that I’m writing this review, has been eye opening to how a care facility should operate from the management and the staff all the way down to the residents and their families, you don’t just see it with your own eyes but you see it in the other residents and families. The care is unmatched and the ability of the staff to connect with the residents and keep them engaged, from daily interactions to well thought out activities and group meals, can’t be stressed enough when you are looking for the best physical and mental care for your loved ones. My father was recently transferred to the new Fairfield location from the Kettering facility to bring him a little closer to home. The nice part about Optimized is the care and family first priority is exactly the same no matter which facility you are at which made the move seamless and didn’t affect him physical or mentally. I could go on and on about all the great things that Optimized has done for my dad and myself and my family but I don’t think there is enough room to type lol. What I will say in closing is thank you to the management and staff of Optimized for making this tough decision and tough time in all of our lives, one best experiences we could have asked for. And to Jessica, the director of nursing at Fairfield, you are our angel. The food, rooms and staff are beyond awesome !!!"

"One star for the owner of this place. When my husband was dying a former wonderful caregiver of my husband who my husband and the whole family loved wanted to come visit him but the owner would not allow her into the house! He had held a former disagreement against her and thus prevented my husband from seeing someone who cared about him from seeing him before he died. Remember I am paying money for my husband to live here. Secondly, after my husband came back from the hospital and was going to be under hospice care we found out a new resident had been accepted. This new resident was highly inappropriate for the house. She had serious mental health problems, was constantly shouting obscenities( several times in front of my grandchildren and also to a hospice worker) had a dog that was having accidents all over the house and she was allowed to smoke. All this was going on while my husband was dying. My husbands relatives wondered what kind of place we had my husband in. It was very bad. I would think twice about bringing a loved one here. "

"After looking at assisted living facilities and visiting independent living facilities to move my Dad closer to me, we decided on an independent living facility. However, had we chosen assisted living Bookdale Beavercreek would have been the place we would have chosen. The sales director, Molly, was very helpful. I met other staff as we toured the facility and everyone was upbeat and helpful as well."
