My parents are at The Greenbriar nursing home. I toured it and it was clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. A lot of the residents I spoke with were very happy that they were there. The residents who I spoke to confidentially gave the place a 5-star rating. The food is great. They have constant activities there. They had a little concert yesterday. There's something always going on. The activities are age-appropriate. They're not too strenuous. They choose activities that kind of stimulate them, but it's not overly exhausting for them. It had everything I wanted and expected and I'm there every day. It was close to home. It's kind of centrally located for all of us kids, but also, we like the idea of it being a small town, and most of their help are small-town individuals, country people who believe in taking care of people. The people got a lot of good morals and values out in that area. They offer assisted living as well.

Several excellent staff members (nurses and aids). Awful management. Whatever they tell you, don't believe it. Show up in the middle of the night when there are two nurses and two aids with all of those patients yelling for help. Brought the wrong medicine. No doctor visits, despite what they tell you (I was there when they said a doctor was doing rounds, and no doctor). I gave the staff a 1 star - but that actually applies to the administration. Staff is probably overall a 4 star and a few of them 5 stars.. Administrator zero. Negative stars.

My brother-in-law stayed at The Greenbriar in Eaton. He ran out of Medicare money so he's at home now trying to take care of himself. I was not there and there wasn't anybody in the building. There is a COVID shutdown and it's got everybody in prison, but all reports indicate that the staffing was great and food was adequate. He had physical problem so he wasn't getting any activities there. His room was nice and comfortable and he stayed there. He didn't get out. I saw the facility from the outside and it was great. They have landscaping, trees, and flowers. My brother-in-law's case was different, he had a physical ailment that didn't allow him to get up and do anything or participate in anything, so he wouldn't be able to take advantage of any amenities, be it a walking path, exercise machine, bingo, none of those because he couldn't walk.

The quality of service has rapidly declined at the Green Briar facility. The staff in the assisted living was cut in half. For the past year, there has not been qualified or consistent assigned personnel serving as an activities director or as a social worker. The daily caregivers are experienced as well as caring but they are extremely overworked. Nursing services are understaffed. Lack of staffing is the primary issue. The current director of the nursing home is abrupt and when family members address these issues. He is unavailable for comment when immediate concerns need to be addressed. We are the process in relocating our loved one. The unfortunate change in leadership has reduced a flagship facility to a one that is mediocre.

We visited The Greenbriar because of the residents that they have and the types of program that they offer. The facility itself was very clean. It had no odor and, to me, that was important. Their rooms were average. Their dining area seemed very nice-looking.

During my visit to this facility was very satisfied with what a saw each and every person living in this nursing home was treated with the utmost respect I have ever saw seen. I used to believe that people put in nursing homes were just token care of with poor care or just to meet standards. That is not true at Greenbriar the staff treats each individual as if they were family. In addition to the wonderful care of my loved one the nursing home itself looks more like a set of individual high priced apartments which look beautiful. In addition to being a nursing home which we are most familiar with our loved one is located there but Greenbriar offers an assisted living facility, independent living facility and Alzheimer's care. Overall we chose Greenbrier for are loved one for its quality of service and even though the drive is far its well worth it.
