It was the hardest thing I have ever done to move my parents from their home of almost 60 years. My father was particularly resistant. Now I know that it was one of the best decisions I ever made, and he agrees with me. There was a brief adjustment period, but every day he starts our visits by telling me the same things: Emerald Groves is beautiful , the people are wonderful , the meals are good, and he feels so lucky to be there. Emerald Groves is an exceptionally well run facility. The staff is of the highest caliber. We feel that they truly care about each resident, and have their best interests at heart. Activities vary depending on the abilities of the residents. We have several friends who also have relatives in Emerald Groves homes, and their experience has been as positive.

Very disappointed with the place there is not enough staff to handle the amount of patients they have. Staff involve themselves in personal issues and some are very rude. The girls are always cooking or washing clothes and have no time to interact with the patients. no activities, everyone is just sitting in wheelchairs sleeping. My mom wanted to leave there saying there is no one to talk to or no one will listen to her and when she need help no one was there to help her Food was not very good one day they had dinner that was from a box that you heat up. i will say the place was clean and the rooms are very nice, but i will never recommend this place. There are a lot out there that offer more and give you the qualify of life that your love still needs but with a little help this is not one of them.

Emerald Groves was a luxury home setting just down the street from the one we chose. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the caregivers had a very heavy accent, and I was worried that there would be some communication issues; everything else was perfect. It was actually the one I loved the most. It had lots of activities and had a nice backyard. It was in a nice neighborhood, and it was really quiet. They layout of the house was a little better than the other facility, and the access to the backyard was easier, but they only had four staff members and the place that my friend's in had ten. It was a bit better for group activities because they had this like sitting room, and it was a little more open for people to be together.

My parents have lived here comfortably for 10 months. The caregivers on duty are tremendous and as personal as time allows. Their meds management is exceptional and a big relief for me. The owner, an RN, has relocated to California so is not onsite often. Meals are adequate and nutritious, with snacks available upon request any time. There is not much socialization between residents due to limitations of their physical limitations, therefore too much "alone time." There are no physical activities, no exercises or physical therapy. The geographic presence of the house is serene and very quite, surrounded by orange trees.

My mother is a resident of Emerald Groves. I have no complaints about the place. So far everything is fine. The rooms that they have there are very spacious. I have eaten some of their food, and the taste is very good. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a small private assisted living facility with 10 residents. The home is well maintained as I could see. They have a large yard and patio. They have private and semi-private rooms which are fairly good sized. The bathrooms are handicapped equipped. They do all laundry and cleaning. They have home cooking with three meals and snacks a day. The food is good. They do all three levels of care. They have a nurse on staff. All caregivers are certified. They transport to doctor appointments. The staff was nice enough. They do lots of activities as exercises, games, parties and celebrations. They also go out shopping and to other events. This seems to be a nice home as I saw.

A very pretty home along Val Vista in Mesa. I've lived in Mesa for over twelve years and this particular road is known for its orange groves. The smell is unlike any other scent in the world. I had to convince my mother to come tour several facilities in this area with me, not only because the location was close to my home but because I couldn't figure anyone in this area having a bad place. Emerald Groves is lovely! The homes, of which there are three, are literally homes. Full yards, on top of things landscaping, absolutely beautiful! Of course, it takes an inside tour to determine one's course in life so my mom and I chose to visit the home on the south end of Val Vista (to be nearer to me). We both loved, first of all, the actual home. Upon entering, we also loved how quick staff was to notice us coming in and secondly how friendly they were to accommodate unannounced visitors. A staff person took us throughout the facility, including their "end of life" portion, which was a bit disheartening but left us both with the impression that at least at this stage, each resident was being specifically and individually cared for. A great house, full of amenities. Super friendly and CARING staff, as if their own lives depended on it. Beautifully structured rooms with lots of thought into space and ample arrangement. I couldn't really find much wrong here. Residents seemed happy. One woman was sitting on an over stuffed couch reading a magazine. She seemed like she owned the place. That was cool.
