"The agency takes care of my husband who has had back surgery, broken pelvis, and infection in the break. The caregiver is always on time and usually a few minutes early. "I refer to Personal Home Care when I get a request for care in Salem. I would like to explain why I think Personal Home Care is the best in Salem. Personal Home Care has been in business for over 25 years. The owner is a Registered Nurse and has been involved Licensure for In-home Care since legislation was first introduced in Oregon. Sharon has served on the committee that helped to write the Rules for Licensure and has also been involved with the Oregon Health Care Association In-home Care Committee. I have been impressed with how Sharon runs her In-home Care Agency and Sharon's committment and passion for helping those she serves. For example, I called to speak to Sharon last December and was told Sharon and some caregivers were cooking Holiday gifts for clients. When I refer to Personal Home Care, I have total confidence that the client will be well taken care of. "

"Interim Healthcare of Salem OR was my first home care provider. They sent me untrained caregivers who could not even do a blood pressure check. Their caregivers provided very poor service. Their scheduling and billing services are very poor, too. All I can say is they have incompetent caregivers. I would not recommend them. "

"I had First Call In Home Care for quite some time and I liked them. I've had problems with leg infections and that's the only thing that made sense to me why they didn't renew coming back. I was supposed to wear plastic adapters on my skin and put bandage on. Some nurse thought she didn't need to do that, and so she put the bandage on and the next time the bandage was taken off, all my skin came off and I was bleeding profusely. I was screaming, and I think I scared the man in-charge of that place. I appreciated the aides and the nurses. It worked out for a while until they just dropped me overnight. They checked my vital signs, washed my leg and put cream on the non-wound part, and they did 3 kinds of wraps on it. I was very pleased with the care."

They help with food preparation, bathing, toiletries, laundry, and friendship. She does puzzles with my mom, and she's also there when doctors come. She's been very good.
