I called and the person who answered the phone was new. That is perfectly fine. She asked what we needed home care for and I said my 95 year old mom lives alone. She needs help with house chores, meal prep and company. they called back and said they couldn't provide services. And for me to call a cleaning service. This was offensive as i now have home care and they offer those services and more. I do NOT recommend. Very uncaring and dismissive.

My brother is using First Call In Home Care. He gets somebody who can cook meals, can do light housekeeping, can sterilize his home, and run errands. The caregivers have been good.

I am a past client of this provider

I had First Call In Home Care for quite some time and I liked them. I've had problems with leg infections and that's the only thing that made sense to me why they didn't renew coming back. I was supposed to wear plastic adapters on my skin and put bandage on. Some nurse thought she didn't need to do that, and so she put the bandage on and the next time the bandage was taken off, all my skin came off and I was bleeding profusely. I was screaming, and I think I scared the man in-charge of that place. I appreciated the aides and the nurses. It worked out for a while until they just dropped me overnight. They checked my vital signs, washed my leg and put cream on the non-wound part, and they did 3 kinds of wraps on it. I was very pleased with the care.

The manager of First Call In Home Care is very personal, nice, and understanding. He handles all situations properly. The caregivers’ work attitudes vary - some of them are good, some of them just want to get their checks, some of them come and just stay on their phones all the time. But some caregivers are fairly good. I would recommend this agency. In terms of scheduling and billing, they are very easy to work with.
