They do an inspection and they make sure everything is safe for both the caregiver and the person that is being cared for. I thought that was good. We had an in-person interview. Now, they call and do a phone interview. They do that once a month. So, I think they're very proactive and the caregivers are very good. They're on time and they provide the service I want, usually with a little bit of housekeeping and just being here is the main thing. They have certain rules and I think that's good.

She cleans; she listens; she provides a fresh view of the world for both my parents (ages 90 and 91). Sometimes communication with New Horizons is challenging, but Victoria makes any effort worthwhile. With her help, my mother is able to do things she enjoys rather than housework.

It's convenient to have caregivers found and they do their job. The regular caregivers are very good. Less frequent and the new caregivers doesn't understand her level of need. They must sit there instead of engaging and talking. The scheduling and communication could be improved. The on-call support staff works 7 am-7pm and we need coverage for my mom.

The caregiver was able to get delegated for the client's feeding tube. That has been really nice that she knows everything she has to do with the feeding tube for feeding him, giving him his medicines, flushing him out with water, or even giving him his feeding tube when the time arises because it gets changed out every so often. That is very nice. We have gone through a few caregivers but the current one we have is exceptional. She works really well with my son and is very proactive by doing everything that he is interested in. She is able to keep him really engaged. She doesn't take any time off and that shows how much she cares. That is really nice and refreshing.

I requested U have 1 permanent caregiver from the start. It was chaotic with many new worker showing up. I was promised repeatedly U would at the least have 2 permanent workers. I finally asked to cancel Wedensdays because they didn't have a permanent one for that day... They continued to send people for that day only to be sent back. I was having serious anxiety issues over new people showing up. I would not recommend them.
