"I was at Salem Transitional Care for rehab. It was an excellent facility. I was in a double room, but there was no other person in there, so I was by myself. It was well kept, they kept it clean, and it was very comfortable. The care I received was excellent and the food was really good. You got your choice of what you wanted to eat. I had physical therapy every day. They had very caring people who came to do the physical therapy and the occupational therapy, and they helped me a lot to get back closer to normal."

"Providence Benedictine Nursing Center is big. It's wonderful. It's a very good nursing home. When my husband got here, they gave him a shower, and he hadn't had one for a year. They didn't have the manpower to do it at the place we were at, so when they gave him a shower here, I was so excited. He's got a real shower and the people are just extra special about everything they do. I go home at night and know he's being cared for, not scared. So many things happened to him up at that other place. All in all, I'm just very happy to have him here. It's a Catholic area and we are Catholic. He loves it. They have a chapel, so he will be able to attend the masses once a week. There are buildings and huge parking lots all around it. You can tell Catholic nuns took care of it because it's in immaculate shape, but it's old. It's nice. They've got dining areas all over and people can come out to it and eat, if they want to watch TV or if they just want to come out of their rooms in their wheelchairs. It's just a beautiful place. Everybody is very kind and loving."

"My husband was in Providence Benedictine Nursing Center. I thought it was excellent. He's got excellent care, he liked it there. He had a stroke and they had worked with him in therapy and he was happy that I was happy. I would recommend this facility for anybody that's needing a nursing home. They're very caring, efficient, knowledgeable and skilled. My husband was real critical about most things, but he liked it there. "

"My friend is now at Independence Health and Rehabilitation Center. So far from what I have seen, they seem to be really good. The physical therapy portion of their operation is very good. My friend tells me that they are working him hard, and already there is improvement in his state of mind and his physical ability. I haven't eaten there, but he says the food is pretty good. He has his own room, but there is another person in his room, but it is set up so that it is kind of comfortable. He has his own dresser and furniture stuff in there. My friend seems to be involved in things that go on there. He has only been there for just a couple of weeks, but I know they're having a big Easter thing there at the community. "

"Everything about Dallas Retirement Village is wonderful. They don't have balconies, but they have three levels of care, independent, assisted, and memory. It's very, very bright, too. I saw some of the apartments. They also have cottages. I was disappointed that they didn't have kitchens. What they did have for coffee and so forth in the morning was very minimal. They have a system where they have a certain allotment for food. However, they have all kinds of wonderful places. It's a newer building and everything is provided. They have a special chapel, activity rooms, and a sunroom if you want to go out and soak up the sun. It's all within the building. In Oregon, with long periods of rainy weather, it's nice. You're able to get lots of light within the building."

"Marian Estates is very friendly and very quiet. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The food is all made from scratch; it's very good. They have care for all levels. They have independent living, assisted living, memory care, and physical rehabilitation. They have activities like exercise classes, memory classes, bingo, and all kinds of socials. My parents are independent right now, and I feel very lucky to have them there."

"I was a resident for 100 days and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff that works there. I know if I need the type of care I needed again I will request it will be at Prestige McMinnville. Thank you all for your amazing care."

"Hillside-Mcminnville, OR is a really beautiful facility. They have high ceilings and beautiful molding. It was just really attractive to be in there. It's light, it's bright, and very encouraging. They have washers and dryers in the room, which is kind of unusual, but that was really exciting for my parents that they could just have the washer and dryer just right there in their apartment if they move there. It appears to be the most upscale care facility in McMinnville that I've seen so far."

"My loved one went to rehab at Life Care Center of Mcminnville. The appearance was good, but he did not like the food there. It didn't smell of urine and it was nice. It was one level with the different halls. He liked some of the staff. It wasn't a huge rehab center. It had bars. His legs seemed to get stronger. They wanted him to be able to use the bathroom himself and use the walker before he went home. There were no activities. Everybody was in their bed. It was clean and the layout was OK."

"My grandmother has been at Marquis Newberg for quite some time. Any time I visited her there, I could see how much the staff cared for her and how much she cared for them. Everyone knows everyone's name and even though they are always busy, they have a smile for you. It is tough not being able to go in and hug her right now but I know that they are keeping her safe. They are always willing to assist with Facetime so we can stay in touch and see each other. They are setting up personal "window visits" to be able to meet outside behind a screen and am looking forward to doing that soon. Several times when visiting, I have had meals there and have nothing to complain about there (nor does my grandmother). I hear their hair dresser is coming back in and that certainly made my grandmother excited! Thank you to everyone at Marquis for doing such an amazing job. Since I cannot be there, I am glad it is you stepping in to be her surrogate family."

"Did not receive walker shortly after arriving, nor the entire first day, as required. Did not receive required antibiotic for ongoing infection the first day . Other person in room is young woman disabled and unable to do any self care. Pushed call button for help. After an hour of waiting started loudly calling out for help please....many times. I got up withoutassistive device and went to hall to find someone to help. Found one down the hall and explained. The said they were very busy with many lights and to tell her to just go in the bed and they'd change her bed later. Another 15 minutes I started banging on the wall as heard a group of women laughing and talking outside the door. On finally came in and yelled at me, saying I was scaring people. More conversation that was extremely rude on her part. Another person came in and yelled at me . A totally horrid first day experience!! Now to get out of here tomorrow. Not sure how I'll obtain needed rehab. Run fast and far if ever recommended to one here!!"

"Friendsview is a five-star across the board. They have beautiful facilities. Every time a client moves out, they redo the room with the client's picks for finishings and all the things. It's a little bit nicer facility. It's five stars for the people, the facilities, and the food we did get to eat there. We had a private luncheon, and they brought together a few people that they thought my mom would have things in common with, and they got to have lunch and share their experiences. People go into that place at 62 when they are just wanting to be active and have lots of things to do. I was almost sold. I was ready to sign up."
