"My wife was at Avamere Rehabilitation of Clackamas. It was a nice facility. I was satisfied with the experience. The personal care that my wife received from the caretakers there was very good. She was in a two-person room, but she was alone in the room, and it was very nice. She let me go in there and spend all the time I wanted to with her. They had an exercise room and a separate area where you could sit and talk without having a lot of other people around you. The staff was fantastic. They couldn't have done any better. They were good friends with my wife. It wasn't just a staff-patient relationship. It was more of a friendship. It was all covered by insurance."

"We've chosen Rose Villa, and we're on the waitlist. The staff was very nice. We had one lady that took us on a tour and we said hello to several other people that were busy working there. We went to the restaurant and we looked at the menu, but we didn't taste the food. They had a pool and an exercise room with equipment, and they had artist studios that you could rent or share. They had a salon, a barber, and a very nice library. The rooms were very nice. They had a wide range of choices and designs."

"My parents are in Willamette View memory care section. They are excellent. They care for people who are very mobile and very independent all the way up to end-of-life care. Even though my parents are in the memory care area, they have access to the arts center, the library, and the restaurants, as long as a family member takes them. They have concerts and lots of different things. It's just very expensive."

"I was at Stanley Post Acute. They needed some help with communication, especially with shift changes. The staff was wonderful for the most part, but it was the nurses that would get my meds mixed up. Their physical therapy was wonderful. If you needed a nurse they were a button away, but they needed more documentation for each patient. For three weeks they pretty much knew me, but there were still mistakes being made. The equipment was top tier though."

"Just moved my mother here and everything has been so nice. They made her feel very special and welcome, her neighbors even stopped by to say hi. It’s nice and cozy off of tucked back in a quite neighborhood, all one floor and very clean. It always smells fresh and everyone is walking around with a smile. We toured multiple places and we kept coming back to this one."

"I am very pleased with The Forum at Town Center because of the friendliness, the frequent music presentations brought in here, and the frequent trips into the community. We have a pool, which I enjoy, and we do water aerobics at the pool. There's one other plus to this place, too. All of the shopping is very convenient. They are within walking distance. I'm keeping my car, although I'm not driving that much anymore, but even my doctors and the hospital are within 3 or 4 miles. So, it's a very good location. The rooms are large. My one-bedroom is 750 square feet and it's more reasonable than most of the places in this area. They have multiple card groups going on, games, exercise classes, and art classes. We have a theater group and an ambassador group so that new people are assigned to a person to help them get acquainted and learn the ropes and everything. So, that's very helpful. We have fun people working here. They make it exciting to be here and they're very caring. The only thing is, there is a turnover or maybe shortage of people doing the maintenance work and doing the cleaning. We have a lot of food choices. You can choose to pay for 1, 2, or 3 meals a day. However, most of us have one meal, and that's plenty sufficient because the portions are very generous. I usually have leftovers from lunch to have for dinner and vice versa. They have a good variety on their menu and they are very tasty. They also listen to us as far as suggestions and changes and they have made changes at our request. They could be a little bit better about cutting down the carbs and giving us more protein. We're still working on that."

"Marquis Tualatin is a wonderful place. I had a really nice tour at the place, and the people are wonderful. I saw a studio apartment; it was very nice. They have bingo, and they also have field trips. They sometimes go out to the beach and to small casinos. They are just always doing something, which helps me also. Their dining room was beautiful. We didn’t eat there, but what we saw looked great. "

"My mother has been a resident at Crestview for nearly 2 yrs receiving ongoing nursing care for dementia and Parkinson’s disease. She came to Crestview after breaking her hip at a memory care facility and having hip replacement. After her rehab was complete, it became evident that she needed ongoing nursing care because she was at extreme risk for falling again because of her fragility, dementia, and high activity level. I am extremely impressed with the level of care she has received at Crestview. The staff is kind and caring to a fault. They go out of their way to keep my mother creatively occupied and mentally engaged in a way that she never was at the upscale memory care facility she was at before. It doesn’t look like a fancy, boutique kind of facility, but it’s comfortable and clean with loving caregivers all around. It has a light, airy dining hall and a courtyard in the center. "

"I was in West Hills Health and Rehabilitation for a month. I was there for some rehabilitation after I was in the hospital. It's a very clean place, very welcoming, and the people were all very helpful. The food was good. You could either dine in your room or the dining area. They offered quite a few different activities, but it was difficult for me to participate. They had a gym area, and there were days when you could go in and play some games."

"I found the rooms comfortable, 90% of the help most helpful when bedridden, food well balanced and I could make special requests, the medication regimen kept the pain down and the therapists could have spent more time with me but I was on the right track. I was an independent 85 year old able to return to our home."

"My husband is at Avamere Rehab. They do therapy over there for older people and injured people. It is a very nice place. The staff is very nice. They're very good. My husband likes the food. He does like the room, and he is in a room with a roommate, so he is quite happy there for the time being. "

"My experience with the Marquis Wilsonville has been very positive. All the people there are extremely respectful to each individual resident and to their family members. They try to engage each resident to an extent that is welcoming and responsive without being pushy. Family caregivers need to know that their loved ones are not in prison, nor should be. This is not the old days where those with dementia and/or motor skill challenges were misunderstood and rigidly confined. My experience with my husband who has an early onset degenerative brain disease, is that his quality of life is directly related to feeling like a whole person and treated as if he has some semblance of independence. The Marquis does a wonderful job ensuring this, while doing the best they can to look after his care. If people are looking for a 24-hour observation & nursing care facility, their loved one probably needs to be in a hospital or designated full-time nursing home (or hospice if end-of life is anticipated). There are no guarantees in life; the best this caregiver (me) can do is work to find a place that provides the best fit for my husband's nature and condition. It is not inexpensive. Neither is it an elder-care country club for those with unlimited resources, which may not even be suitable to the individual's personality. However, it is clearly the best local fit for our situation at this time. What the Marquis Wilsonville does, it does very well! I am very grateful for the respite for me, and the quality of non-obtrusive yet attentive care and sense of dignity they provide my husband. Thank you one and all! "

"Mom was in the long term care facility for 8 months. The staff was so loving and caring. It was hard because we were not able to visit due to covid but the staff did everything possible to set up portal calls and arrange outdoor visits. They were patient with mom and they communicated with the family. The nursing staff was amazing. Can't say enough about this place. Her room was large and overlooked the west hills. Food was good and lots of choices were provided. I highly recommend this place."

"My dad is in Marquis Autumn Hills. The staff has been incredibly supportive and helpful with us through the process. The other thing that I really like to say about them is that it is a huge place, but everybody knows my dad by name. They do everything they can to keep it clean, which is great. They shampoo the carpet frequently. On one area that they are having a lot of issues, the end up taking the carpet out completely and putting up a nice laminated floor. The security is very good. However, my dad is a mechanical engineer and he can go out of anything -- he was able to go out of there twice -- but they always rectify the situation so it will not happen again. They are very responsive with that. The food is great, and dad has no complaints with the food. "

"My father is doing rehab at Cascade Terrace Nursing Center. Their facility looks older with old hospital beds, but the people in it make up for it. Everybody is working, and I'd give them a six or seven on a scale of five because they all love my dad, they are all caring, and they have somebody helping him eat. The food is good. We had a care conference today with nursing, physical therapy and social work. They have nurse practitioners and MDs on-staff that are always available. All the wonderful things that should be done were done. They have physical training and occupational therapy, and last night they had somebody stay with him all night in his room. They've gone above and beyond to try to get him working."

"Trinity Mission Health & Rehabilitation is a very clean facility. My mother’s room is a little small; in fact, there are three people in her room. The staff seems OK. They play cards and had a Thanksgiving get-together for family members. They are having a Christmas open house with a family get-together on a different date where we can bring gifts and stuff. "
