I am in Avamere Court At Keizer and I am very happy. I've been here for eight and a half years. We have exercises, bingo, bean bag baseball, church services, Bible studies, and Bible videos on Saturdays. They provide 3 meals a day, housekeeping, and laundry facilities at no charge. They are careful about people that can't eat certain things, and there are always good choices available. We all have apartments with a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. There are no studio apartments here. We have a library, an activity room, an exercise room with bicycles and treadmills, and exercise equipment, a craft room, a beauty parlor, and a courtyard. Transportation is good, we have a van and a bus. We're a family here. We care for each other. If someone doesn't show up for a meal, we wonder where they are and check on them. It's a very friendly place. It's a very good community, and the staff cares for us.

Avamere Court at Keizer would be my first choice. It's very nice, and they have the largest spaces. The staff was very friendly. They had a nice dining room. As far as activities, they have some field trips where they take people on a bus to different activities (as well as to your doctor appointments). The people that I know that lived there said that the food is good, and they are very pleased with the meal service.

My husband was at Avamere Court at Keizer for rehab. I never thought he would ever walk again and they got him walking. The staff was excellent, especially the physical therapist. They were always very prompt to take care of his needs. I don't know much about the food. I was only let in for specific appointments to watch his training. It was very accessible. The building was a little older though, and the interior was not very nice. It was paid for by Medicare.

Avamere Court at Keizer is comparable in prize to other places, but it's farther away in location. It was smaller, older, and looked a little run down. I talked to one person. She was very polite, and very informative.

The outside of Avamere Court at Keizer looked quite nice, but inside seemed very worn. The people were very nice and very pleasant. I walked through the dining area, and it looked clean. Everything looked clean, but kind of old and worn. I did not observe any activities. They showed me the schedule and basically told me what the activities were.

My mother is in Avamere at Keizer in their assisted living, which is wonderful. My fiancée’s mother was in the Avamere Court independent before she went to memory care across the street. It is beautiful and clean, and the staff and caregivers are wonderful. It is just really good. There is bingo, crafts, ice cream socials, and movie nights. She is getting a lot of physical therapy. They have a beautiful courtyard, and a bus to take them to their doctor or to activities and field trips. I think Avamere is the best.

I am staying at Avamere Court At Keizer. It's good, and it's an older building, but it's clean. We have very centrally located and very near stores, and it's right across the street from my Catholic church, which is important to me. They have very good transportation, and they take you almost anywhere. We have shopping days, and we have a lot of activities. Food is not as good, but we have 3 meals a day, and we have a menu, so you if you don't like the special, you could order off the menu, which is a good thing. But you get a lot of repeat food week after week. Other than that, it's quality, and it's OK. The dining areas are large, good, and pleasant, so I have enjoyed that. We don't have night staff anymore, which disturbs me. Our own staff has not made the changes, but the head people had told them what we have to do, so that's what I don't like about it. I have a 1-bedroom with very good storage and 2 walk-in closets which are excellent.

Everything was really great at Avamere; the food and the care were great. My husband’s brother was there, and the first thing we noticed was it was clean and smelled clean. Every person we passed asked if they could help us with something. They had a beauty and barber shop.

I was impressed by the very caring, and kind staff at Avamere. The rooms and apartments are well-kept, and they refurbished it for each new resident. It’s like brand new when they walk in for the first time. The outside area like the dining room is very nice, but somewhat dated. However, it’s dated towards their time period so it’s fine too. My parents moved in there about a month ago.

My mom has been in Avamere Court for about three months now. They are taking really good care of her and watch her. She has a button that she wears for when she has any trouble or needs help. When she pushes that button, they are notified that she needs help and come to help her. They help her with meals, laundry, and housekeeping. She has people she can relate and talk to and has made friends. They have different programs like exercise, go out to lunch, and have people come in and do different things. She is very happy there. The people are getting to know her. Sometimes they will come by, sit in her room, and talk to her.

My husband has been at Avamere Court at Keizer after his stroke. I think they could have not better with my husband's condition after his stroke, but I think overall they kept him pretty clean. Their therapists were excellent, but they could not give him the one-on-one care that he specifically needed at all times. The facility was clean, and they have activities. The food was good; five-course meals three times a day.

The dining room at Avamere Court is very spacious and clean. The rooms are kind of older, but they are still very nice. The staff was OK. It has a pretty setting and they have a nice courtyard. It is very close to my house. The only thing is they are not very pet friendly, and my mom has a pet.

We did not care for the Avamere Court at Keizer. We did not like it at all. They were not very cooperative or agreeable. My dad said the rehab folks were really good to work with, but as far as the staff and the nursing, they did not really help much. I would not recommend this facility. They did not seem to communicate with each other. People with different areas of responsibility had no idea what some of the other people were doing, so they did a lot of thing repetitively. It seemed very chaotic. The facility was clean.

I liked Avamere because it has comfortable and homey feel in it. The other thing I liked about the place was that they were in the process of developing a new Alzheimer's care place and if my husband needs to be cared for, I would be interested to have him stay there. The rooms were adequate, they weren't extremely spacious but I was looking to downsize anyway. I was looking for smaller quarters. The staff have been very nice and they've all followed up with me. I learned many from things from the staff about the services that they are providing or the services that we might qualify for. The residents in Avamere seemed more interactive and they seemed more friendly. They seemed to be enjoying life more. They are interactive with each other. They invited us to have some meals and I liked how they had their meal service there. They had some activities going on. There is a theatre where you could watch movies with popcorns being served. They had some exercises, card games, and table games. If they could just modernize their look at little bit as some of the furniture seemed a little out dated.

My grandmother lived here for about 10 years. She really enjoyed it, all the staff was very friendly and knew my father by name whenever he visited. They had pretty good food as well which my Grandmother liked. We went over and ate Sunday dinner there quite often with Grandma and it was very decent food, about what you would find at a buffet. It has a very nice courtyard in the middle of the building (it's shaped like a big circle around the courtyard). The only downside was my grandmother had to wait awhile to get in. My grandmother lived in the non-assisted living area. She was pretty sad when she moved out.

Grandma loved living in this place. It was a pretty place, though somewhat outdated by the time she moved out. She made friends and did some group activities, both in house and field trips. They always celebrated birthdays and she spoke of that often. She always liked the food, a big thing for seniors. The dining room was lovely as we ate with her on numerous occasions. We thought the advantage of her being at this place was that she could get more help as she aged and needed it. As it happened we moved and she moved to a facility closer to us.
