the real value here is that pacifica is able to offer the services of a much larger facility, but at the friendly, attentive care of a much smaller, more intimate group home. so everyone has their own space (so that loners like my dad) can retreat, but enough social interaction that they don't get lonely. the real upside here is the staff, who is empowered to do what they think is right. there is absolutely ZERO hospital or institutional feel to this place at all! it's pretty amazing. all the staff pull together, and there's no "top down medical" vibe to the place at all. i'm 57, and i hang out there all the time. the rooms are not cookie cutter: they're all a little different, because of the architecture of the facility. there are backup generators, etc, and a lot of sort of hidden infrastructure. i think pacifica offers the best of a larger community, with the intimacy and attention to detail that a smaller facility can offer. highly recommended, and i'd wished we'd discovered them sooner.

We chose Pacifica Senior Living Vancouver. It was great. They answered all my questions, it seemed to be clean, they seemed to care about their people, and it was personal. It's clean and neat. They have games, they have physical equipment, they have a garden, they have places to walk, they take them on tours.

I would highly advise against entering into residential agreements at this time. A brief list of ongoing concerns are: staff have no time for care as they serve the food, do the laundry and tidy the rooms, episodes of forgetting to take meals to residents, leaving incontinent residents in wheelchairs overnight, letting pain medications run out, unreported falls to family and giving insulin when blood sugared are low and failure to initiate CPR. I have tried to work with the revolving door of care co-ordinations and the executive director with little to no change and a lot of platitudes. Also, during this Covid 19 crisis hand wash stations are not set-up in useable locations for staff to utilize. There is a significant lack of leadership at the executive level. That has been the one constant throughout this time.

After a few months at the facility, my father has had numerous issues with the poor care provided. Everything from bedsores to food to bathing/hygiene. Simple communication from staff has been a struggle. Management has not been helpful. There has been ongoing staff turnover since he moved in, and care has absolutely not improved. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, but it's just too much to worry about ongoing care issues and health risks.

Pacifica Senior Living Vancouver looked fine, but it wasn't going to be workable for my husband's condition. The apartment was clean, a little bit stark, and somewhat limited. The staff seemed very nice.

Pacifica Senior Living Vancouver is beautiful and clean, and the layout is nice. My mother-in-law gets great care and the staff is wonderful. They have beanbag baseball, which she is a fanatic of, she likes chair Zumba, exercises, Scrabble, Bingo, she enjoys going to Wal-Mart, and they have nice activities in the center for families and the residents. They just had a very big 4th of July party. They do a lot of group things, like for Mother's Day. They have live music, too. They have a TV area, rooms for activities, and wonderful huge balconies where they will serve meals on if you choose to eat out there.

My grandfather lives at this community. I visited him for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and great accommodations. I am writing to specifically thank PCA, Kelsey. I’ve worked in senior communities for several years and have never seen kindness, patience and respect towards residents, from a caregiver, like I saw from Kelsey. Thank you for hiring and retaining such a great caregiver for your residents.

I toured Pacifica Senior Living, and I liked it a lot. I liked the atmosphere, the people that run it, and I spoke to the residents and they seemed to enjoy living there. The food was quite good, and it seemed like a really nice place, and that they would take good care of somebody. The studio was basically one room with a countertop bar, a little kitchenette, a bathroom with a big shower, and plenty of room. It was really nice. The staff was very polite, and asked how my mom was, and if she needed anything.

Pacifica was smaller, newer, and the rooms were quite nice. There wasn't as much space. There were a lot of open rooms available, and we didn't see too many people. The staff was fine.
