"I toured Courtyard at Mt. Tabor. The woman who showed us around was very good. The facility seemed nice. I liked the location because it's close to my wife's daughter. It looked like they had a refrigerator and a stove in the units. However, they said it depends on the size of the apartment whether they get a microwave or not."

"I've visited Sapphire at Firwood Gardens. The people were really friendly, the place was nice and clean, and the building itself was not rundown. The only thing I didn't like was that where my dad would have been there, he'd have to take an elevator and would have to go all the way outside to smoke. So that wasn't a fit for him. The staff seemed helpful, were nice about showing me around, and answered my questions. It seems like they offer a lot of things that the seniors would need. And they have a side that's memory care, so if they started at assisted living, they can transfer out to memory care, so I like that."

"I am here, and the staff here is very nice. The facility is adequate, and the meals are OK -- that is, apart from the entrée, most of the time they were not really good. It's fair, but it's not number one. I am in a one-bedroom and it's not really big, but it's adequate. They clean the apartment once a week, and that comes with the rent. It's comfortable too. We don't have that many amenities here, but they have bingo, they have church services for those who want to attend on Sundays, and there's a bus that goes to town every once in a while."

"I toured the home for my loved one and was extremely pleased by the profesional staff that shows such care and compassion to the residents. The facility and rooms wear clean and organized, free of odors and very home like. The ambiance of the home was very welcoming. "

"My mother has moved into McLoughlin Place Senior Living. The whole place is very friendly. We didn't eat there, but we were there during a meal and saw what it looked like. The menu was really good and the food looked good, and the dining area was nice. They have a great activities calendar. Mom's very active and social and so that was important for her. She was able to experience some of that. She got right in on a bingo game, so that was good. Of all of the places that I toured, it wasn't my favorite, but it was my mom's favorite. I think it's a pretty good place. The staff seems nice, friendly, and helpful. It's slightly rundown, but they are remodeling the whole place right now and replacing all the carpeting and painting. It's going to be nice when they're done. It's a good value. They have a high-tech thing that you have to sign in and it's very cumbersome and complicated to sign in at this little kiosk. That's the only thing that kind of bugs me about the place really when I come to visit."

"My father is very happy at Summerplace. Everybody is awesome. He likes everything about it, and we're very happy. Everything is terrific."

"Mom is at MorningStar at Laurelhurst. It is very clean. Most of the caregivers are very caring and loving. They enjoy what they do and care for the residents. There were a few issues at the beginning, but things are better now. No place is perfect. I was given a couple of opportunities to have a meal there, and the food is always very fresh because the memory care patients are always served first. It's nutritious and they have a really good chef. There's a good variety. There are a lot of coloring activities (they have adult coloring books). They also play music and then have movies after dinner. They have other activities that I noticed on the board, like going for a walk and trivia things, but Mom's not interested in any of that stuff. She's very picky. She's always just sitting there, totally bored."

"My grandmother is in the Prestige Senior Living Huntington Terrace. It is very good. They have church services and craft classes. They go on tours. I speak to the residents, and they really like it. It is a great experience. She is comfortable there. It is all in one building."

"I was looking for places in Gresham, and the only number they had was a service that provided different facilities. This facility is very good, and the facility is very clean. The people were extremely nice. If I was going to put my mother somewhere, that would be the facility I would use."

"Oswego's staff has been very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I got my mom a studio apartment. It's a one-bedroom, kitchen facility without a stove, which is okay because my mom can't cook anyway. The food is very good. I put my mother in a palace comparatively. The atmosphere there is very pleasant. It feels like home. The facility is an easy location for me. I would recommend it to others. I would go there if need be. "

"My aunt moved into Brookdale River Valley, and it's been good. I'm really disappointed in the meal quality, but other than that, it's pretty good. She likes her room, it's two studios put together, and she has two porches, access to outside, and she has two dogs, so it's easier. They have Bingo, they play cards, there's a gardening club, a bird watching club, a singing group, and they go on excursions to grocery stores and different places. They have different fitness activities."

"I toured Edgewood Point Assisted Living. It was clean, and they were very friendly. We decided that we wanted to do something smaller. We wanted to put my mother-in-law in a place where she would just get a little bit more individualized care. I didn't see any activities, but the dining area looked nice and accessible. People seem to be enjoying their time chatting with each other. The staff was nice."
