"We choose it for our parents because they have a very nice facility. We are probably only about four to five miles away from that facility. All the people working there that we meet are very friendly. It is close to us. Also, the room is very large and that is good for us. They have a spa, a beauty shop and I believe they do have a lot of activities."

"I visited Courtyard at Mt. Tabor and I liked it very much. I was very impressed with it. It was near my daughter. The lady who was there was very helpful and informative. I had a very nice tour. If I wanted to, I could have gone back and spend the night there, talked to people, and had meals, but I didn't pursue that because I thought it wouldn't be nice to do that if I wasn't going further with it. It looked like a very busy place with lots of activities. They had everything. They had a library. They had book groups. People played games. They had transportation to go outings. However, it was too big for me and probably out of my budget. "

"We like Brookdale Wilsonville. My wife, particularly, likes it very much. We like its proximity to shopping. She can just walk over and buy something. We took home a small plant that was a present from the staff. The cleanliness and upkeep was good. From the second floor and down the stairs, you're in the dining room. They had individual bedrooms where people could plant things. It was very nice."

"Very clean and smaller so attention to detail is more possible by the staff. It feels like home. The maintenance man is very helpful also."

"I've visited Sapphire at Firwood Gardens. The people were really friendly, the place was nice and clean, and the building itself was not rundown. The only thing I didn't like was that where my dad would have been there, he'd have to take an elevator and would have to go all the way outside to smoke. So that wasn't a fit for him. The staff seemed helpful, were nice about showing me around, and answered my questions. It seems like they offer a lot of things that the seniors would need. And they have a side that's memory care, so if they started at assisted living, they can transfer out to memory care, so I like that."

"Mom is at MorningStar at Laurelhurst. It is very clean. Most of the caregivers are very caring and loving. They enjoy what they do and care for the residents. There were a few issues at the beginning, but things are better now. No place is perfect. I was given a couple of opportunities to have a meal there, and the food is always very fresh because the memory care patients are always served first. It's nutritious and they have a really good chef. There's a good variety. There are a lot of coloring activities (they have adult coloring books). They also play music and then have movies after dinner. They have other activities that I noticed on the board, like going for a walk and trivia things, but Mom's not interested in any of that stuff. She's very picky. She's always just sitting there, totally bored."

"I visited Edgewood Point Assisted Living. We were very impressed with the tour manager, Ellen. Everyone was nice, offered to help, and seemed competent. The cleanliness was very good. It's kind of a jump from living in a separate home to a place that's similar to a hotel or a motel. It seemed quiet enough, though. It's not as if they are too close and too loud. We saw a larger room, which was very impressive, and quite a good bathroom and bedroom. We saw a smaller one, which was more like a large motel room."

"My mom is ready to go into Prestige Riverwood. The place was clean and welcoming. I met several people, and they were all friendly and helpful. Several residents were walking about, and actually some were taking strolls outside. The menu looked good. The facility looked good and homey. The apartment was empty, but it will look homey when she gets in there. They have a beauty salon; it hasn't been open because of COVID, but it will eventually. They also have an entertainment area."

"My grandmother was so well cared for and loved by the Bortes family. We were always so pleased with our visits with the family and their sweet children, we are comforted knowing she was genuinely happy during the final months of her life. "

"I've only been in Calaroga Terrace for about three days. I'm back in the hospital, but I'm going back there as soon as they release me. I've seen it on the website, and it's close to where I actually live. I know the area. That's the main reason I chose this. It's a comfortable place, and the food is great. The staff is very friendly. They are nice people. They bend over backwards to help you. It's just a studio, but they have one-bedroom apartments. They've got just about everything. They've got a library on every floor, and it's a 16-story building. You've got to go down to the laundry room, but there are about six washers and dryers. It's clean and nice. Value for money is great."

"Prestige BH goes way beyond with this winter storm they don’t have electricity since Saturday to Thursday. My love ones are not neglected during this time. All the staff are amazing and handle the situation with a big smile. I highly recommended this facility with there awesome service with our love ones!"
