"I was impressed. The rooms were lovely and the staff was pretty friendly. They had a couple of different eating areas and they appeared to have a lot of activities available."

"My disabled Mom had maggots and flies in her room, so needless to say the housekeeping is non existent. They find a way to blame the resident for all of the staff's shortcomings. "

"My husband is here. I liked the place. I don’t have any mixed feelings about it at all. He’s very well taken care of. He’s in such bad shape that there’s nothing more that can be done for him other than what they do, and they always have things going to keep their minds going. "

"I visited Brookdale Wilsonville twice, once by myself and once with my brother. They have a nice facility, and they do offer both independent living and assisted living. They offer one thing that is different, they have assisted living on one level of the facility and independent living on another level. I think the assisted living was on the second floor. They had a nice dining facility. It was a little older facility, the exercise area was just a little corner off in a community area, the same thing with media or movie theater type thing. It was just a large screen TV off in the corner of a large common area. It wasn't anything to get excited about at all. The manager that I met was quite cordial and helpful and gave me brochures and information."

"My mom is ready to go into Prestige Riverwood. The place was clean and welcoming. I met several people, and they were all friendly and helpful. Several residents were walking about, and actually some were taking strolls outside. The menu looked good. The facility looked good and homey. The apartment was empty, but it will look homey when she gets in there. They have a beauty salon; it hasn't been open because of COVID, but it will eventually. They also have an entertainment area."

"I have toured Edgewood Point Assisted Living. I like the location, it was fairly close to where I live, and the people were super nice. It's just outside my price range. The apartments had their own bathroom. They showed me one that had an efficiency kitchen and a studio. The rooms had their appliances, you just have to bring your own bed, stuff, and furniture. The staff member who gave me the tour was super nice. She said I could try the food, but I didn't want to because I already knew I couldn't afford the place. They provide three meals a day. There was a little outdoor courtyard-type area. They have one section for memory care that has its own outdoors, and then they have the regular living portion that has its own outdoor facility as well. They have somebody come in twice a week and do exercise with the people there, there's a lot of classes like a music class, singing, and so on."

"I liked Arcadia Senior Living. I was greeted by two people right off and there were people in the lobby, so the residents were moving around. They showed me the amenities as far as where the dining room was and the availability to go outside, like patios. I liked it because of the location. The person during the tour was kind of in training and she was very informative. She did most of the talking to prove that she's learning her job. I didn't have any unanswered questions. The other woman, the regular employee, stayed with us, so everything was confirmed as far as the cost and just what would be available. They offer the necklace or the call button thing that you wear. They showed everything in the room where one could get assistance if needed. It seemed newer, so everything was in good working order. The outside was very clean, had a nice parking lot, everything around there was level, and no stairs or steps to climb up. It was well maintained. Everything was accessible. My mother could get around well there. I didn't realize Arcadia was here at this location. You see this big apartment building before you see the Arcadia. I thought that made it kinda safe, kind of out of sight a little bit. I felt that was a safe place. I didn't see much staff there, but there wasn't any need to see them. The facility was attractive."

"I visited Courtyard at Mt. Tabor and I liked it very much. I was very impressed with it. It was near my daughter. The lady who was there was very helpful and informative. I had a very nice tour. If I wanted to, I could have gone back and spend the night there, talked to people, and had meals, but I didn't pursue that because I thought it wouldn't be nice to do that if I wasn't going further with it. It looked like a very busy place with lots of activities. They had everything. They had a library. They had book groups. People played games. They had transportation to go outings. However, it was too big for me and probably out of my budget. "

"My Mother was only there for 5 weeks, before passing away, but the staff at iHome Care took such good care of her and were so supportive to me during her end of life stages. Together with hospice services my Mom had a peaceful passing. In the short time I got to know so many of the caregivers by name and they loved my Mom. Even the administrator, Jordan came and checked in on my Mom though I know he had a busy schedule. It is such a caring and loving environment. I'm so glad I found this place. No activities during the pandemic but I understand they will resume activities in the future. "

"I thought Prestige Senior Living Beaverton Hills was excellent. It seemed like a nice place like it was set up well. The person who assisted me was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything going on when we were there. They had lectures and physical activities. They had things structured to stimulate residents cognitively like they had game shows that they put on, which I thought was cute. They are adjacent to a park where they've created a wheelchair-accessible path, which I thought was great. It's a nice place."

"Mom is at MorningStar at Laurelhurst. It is very clean. Most of the caregivers are very caring and loving. They enjoy what they do and care for the residents. There were a few issues at the beginning, but things are better now. No place is perfect. I was given a couple of opportunities to have a meal there, and the food is always very fresh because the memory care patients are always served first. It's nutritious and they have a really good chef. There's a good variety. There are a lot of coloring activities (they have adult coloring books). They also play music and then have movies after dinner. They have other activities that I noticed on the board, like going for a walk and trivia things, but Mom's not interested in any of that stuff. She's very picky. She's always just sitting there, totally bored."

"I toured Calaroga Terrace, and I knew immediately it was not the right place for me. The person who took me around was the most vivacious and the most positive person. Debbie was wonderful. I think she was the marketing manager or the sales manager. She really was a dynamite person, but the place wasn't right for me. The sizes of the rooms were OK, but they did not have stoves. While I am 83, I still love to cook. They provide three meals a day, seven days a week. The place is older. It's a renovated hotel, but it looks tired. I wouldn't fit in there. It's the only high-rise that I toured. I noticed that there were birds that were using the windows on the ninth floor, and I wondered how often the windows got cleaned. Inside, the cleanliness was fine though. They had two libraries, a lounge on each floor, and a craft room. They had the typical amenities that almost all of these had."

"I visited the assisted living. It was a good tour. They have very nice staff, very clean area, and the place was bright and open. It looked like a nice place, I wish they had an opening. They had all sorts of planned activities. There's a girl there doing some crafts, they have a big community room, they have a little bit of everything I think. The person who gave the tour was great, but she didn't show us the memory care. The facilities were very nice, clean, bright and welcoming. The dining room was basically just an open room, and they had a serving bar. It was like a kitchen with an island, though much bigger, and they were serving from there."
