So far, our experience with Chateau Pacific has been good. The staff seems friendly and nice. They take them on trips, if they want to go, and have some social kinds of things, like happy hour and ice cream socials. I have been there a couple of times and taken my parents down, but I don’t know how much they do on their own. They talk about how great the food is and how they love it. I thought that it was good, too. The place seems to be well maintained. They have a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a stove and oven, and a washer and dryer in the unit, which my parents like.

I live in the Chateau Pacific assisted living place. The room that I have right now has a balcony and you pay more. If you are on the east side where they don't have balconies they pay less. Someone that has a studio doesn't have to pay as much as someone that has the balcony. The staff is pretty good, but I have a problem with the food because I can't have salt, spices, or anything like that. I find that I need to keep reminding them that I cannot have these things even though I have been here over a year. They do have activities here. In my honest opininon, I think that for the money that people put out for this, there should be a little more because they charge you for everything.

If you are comfortable and love your home as we did? Then think very carefully of moving into one of these facilities. In our case we’d be much better off if we had remained in our home. Considering the cost of meals delivered, yard maintenance and other expenses being much less than the rental cost of this place. Moving here has been the worst decision of my life. My wife and I in our early nineties have been residents of this facility for three years. Until the outbreak of Covid-19 we were somewhat content but missed our home tremendously. After the outbreak it was soon discovered that some residents in the Memory Care unit in the far end of the building were positive with the virus. Instead of that unit being properly secured, the virus was allowed to travel to our apartment infecting both myself and my wife. After a few days we desperately called 911 to get some pain release for my wife and after a few days the hospital doctor stated that there was nothing more that they could do for her and suggested she return to her home for recuperation. Unfortunately she was informed the Chateau Pacific did not consider this to be her home and would not accept her back until she received two negative test results. Even after I was able to recover with two negative test results in our apartment, she has been kept in the hospital now going on 60 days and counting hoping that some day she may receive negative test results.

Chateau Pacific Retirement Community's room is smaller than I realized. The place is clean and nice sized, the food is very good, and the people seem to be very nice. There are a lot of activities.

The amenities at Chateau Pacific were fabulous. It had a therapy pool, water aerobics, and the food was wonderful. We looked at the apartment a couple of times. They had a variety of floor-plans, and prices for many different budgets. Many of them had a washer-and-dryer in the unit which was a real nice feature. The staff was very friendly, caring, and accommodating.

We visited Chateau Pacific for my mother. It was a nice place, but I think it was a little too big. We felt more comfortable in a smaller community. I only had interaction with them for a short time, but everybody seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I really liked Chateau Pacific quite well. They had a nice memory care on the ground level. The cost was what prevented us from pursuing this one, and the bedrooms were a little more expensive; they have the individual studios. That was my only reservation for not having mom live there. The activity that I saw was some kind of a game that they were playing at a table. What I took a tour of was the one that was called Rose Garden. It was on the ground level and was specifically for Alzheimer's and memory care.

We live in the Chateau Pacific Retirement Community. We've been here a year. I like the environment; it's close to everything. A store is within walking distance, and there is a Bartell. There are half a dozen restaurants right around the corner, and it's about 10 minutes drive from where my kids live. It's a nice community. I made up a list of things that concerned me and presented all of those to the staff at the time, and they were very good at doing the job. There's no question about that. They have a good staff here. The folks are very friendly. There's something going on every day. We participate in bingo, bowling, and sing-alongs, and we take trips. In the last 3 months, we have gotten a new director, and he's taken charge of this place and is making it work better than it is before. He's done a super job. I don't have any negatives right now.

They would have to learn to care more for the people who lived there, than the money they were getting from them. When I told them I was leaving, they told me not to tell anybody about the place I was moving to. They threatened me for telling people that I was moving instead of wanting to know why.

Very welcoming. The residents are friendly and welcomed my parents. The food is good and it is a beautiful place with friendly staff, gardens, luxury and lots of activities. They seem caring about each residents well being.

My experience was a good one. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were a few on-site amenities such as a game room and fish tanks to look at. The residents are welcome to roam the building, minus the memory care wing of course. They have an activities director and shuttles for the residents to get to off-site facilities. The shocker here was the price and location right next to a main highway. Needless to say, we moved on to somewhere else.
