"In my youth I found it very easy to move around the country. I loved doing so, and was saddened when I found that after my retirement I simply could not book flights or travel packages because of my distrust of computers. However, the travel agents provided with a person's stay at the Bellettini helped me regain my independence. My only complaint with the facility is the library, which does not have nearly enough books for people of my generation. I quite like the older stuff, thank you. Most important to me was the private transportation - ask, and a private driver will transport you to any location within 50 miles. Great for visiting Seattle or any places around Bellevue. Alas, I had to move to Boston with my daughter, but I loved the Bellettini very much. I would recommend it to anyone due to the excellent level of amenities that were provided to me during my time there. "

"My mom lived in the Aegis Living Madison for almost a year. We loved the staff, the food was very good, and it was very clean. The reason we left was because my mom wasn't participating in the activities they had and the field trips. She had a one-bedroom suite with a living room and a private bath. It was very nice and roomy. The only thing I didn't like was that they wouldn't like you to hang pictures on the wall yourself. They wanted to do it themselves. My mother had this Japanese screen that we've had in our family for a very long time. We had them put it up and they assured us that they were using the right tools, but it fell and it broke. That's the only bad thing I have to say. Other than that, it is excellent care."

"My mom has been at Patriots Glen for over 4 years now, beginning in Spring 2019. She had lived in ‘independent’ living for several years after moving closer to us; then she went through a rapid decline and became unable to live independently. This was all new to us. We tried several assisted living situations, and she was miserable, and we could clearly see when care was sub-par, also very expensive and worse, she continued to decline. When we found Patriots Glen we were fairly seasoned at this point and could see this place was offering exactly what we needed, with the full care she needs (she is not mobile, and incontinent) yet with a sense of respectful, independent living. We were so relieved. It is reasonably priced, and yet a quality environment. She has a very nice room, with her own favorite and familiar furniture; she is given just the right balance of care and independence, they offer memory care as needed; the food is pretty great with good quality; lots of salads, soups, and a varied menu with fresh ingredients; and she loves the staff, feels very cared for and loved. It took a few months for her to adjust but it was never extreme. Executive staff made sure she felt important and respected. She lived an accomplished life, and this life-change embarrassed her, so that really mattered. She soon began to tell me how content she is, and now she is always telling me how perfect it is for her. She has never complained about her care or had issues with particular staff (unlike other places she’s been); has made friends with other residents and looks forward to spending time with others even if it’s just sitting in the living room together watching TV. She is always waving at people and introducing me to them. And she enjoys every bite of her food, and they patiently let her take as much time as needed. There is a lovely garden courtyard, and I see residents out there often, and we spend a lot of time out there in good weather. Sometimes we’ll have lunch or dinner out there and she remembers that fondly later. We just had DQ Blizzards (from nearby) and popcorn in their newly renovated ‘ice cream parlor’ which she thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve attended special events with her: Easter brunch is amazing; joined in on St Patrick’s Day songs; have enjoyed their regular Friday Happy Hour with a bit of wine and music, and other special activities they offer where families are welcome. They just released butterflies in the courtyard, which they raised and observed. They offer daytrip drives through scenic local areas, which she enjoys. It’s a close wheelchair accessible walk to a nearby park where she can watch dogs and enjoy nature. During Covid restrictions staff did an amazing job, and did everything possible to provide family access, even if just through plexiglass outdoor seating areas; and kept us constantly updated. They’ve done a recent interior renovation and she is just loving it, she always liked interior design so she is loving the new furniture, paintings, wall colors and flooring. I’ve also started attending monthly dementia support meetings put on by the Director Jordan Drew, which is very informative and supportive. I highly recommend Patriots Glen to families looking for reasonable, quality care for their loved ones. We are grateful. "

"Brookdale West Seattle was a very nice place. They seemed to have a lot of amenities to offer. The location was very nice. The rooms were comfortable looking and quite good sized. Everything was nice and clean. The only one I talked to was the one who took us on the tour, and she seemed quite knowledgeable, very personable, and easy to be with. They seemed to have all the kinds of things that I was interested in. The rooms were nice. I didn't have the chance to try the food, but I'd rate the facility pretty high."

"El Dorado West Retirement seemed a very good place. We are very happy with the lady that toured us all over the facility. We were happy with our tour even if they don’t have any availability at that time. The apartments are very clean and orderly. "

"Aegis Living Lake Union was perfect for my husband. It was just a month of respite, but he didn't want to come home. He had a lovely accommodation in that it wasn't down a long and dark hallway or something that looked like a Holiday Inn. It was just such nice accommodation. I would have to say it was expensive, but for the eight years that I haven't had any kind of respite for him, where I could go away, I figured it was worth it. Aegis Living Lake Union was great. My husband would love to go back, but it was maybe more expensive than we can afford. I like how professionally they brought us in for the initial moment we arrived. It was family-oriented. They were caring about me, and they were caring about him. The whole entryway of the place is conducive to that. It's very welcoming. It's kind of like a special hotel as opposed to just a desk where you walk up. It was lovely. More than one person came from the office and met with us and asked us what we were interested in, and they listened. The most important thing was that they clearly listened instead of just putting on a sales pitch. My husband stayed there like a resident. They gave him an apartment. He had his own bathroom and a place for a refrigerator. They showed us three or four rooms that he could have, and we chose the quieter one. So, he had a lovely room that looked out on trees and everything. It was good for him. They went overboard with any accommodation. Like he couldn't use the television remote very well, so they got one that had big numbers on it, so he could see it better. They facilitated it within minutes of our asking or mentioning that he had difficulty with it. They made calls, and in two days, it arrived. That's the kind of service it offers. It was truly amazing. Overall, my husband thought everyone was fantastic. Whenever I was there, I would say the same. They have a very special chef from the Metropolitan. He was a chef downtown in Seattle in a restaurant everyone knows. He is probably one of the best. The food was so good. He had his choice of whatever. If he wanted a sandwich, he could have it. He can have anything, and they said that 24 hours a day, he could order from the kitchen. The building looks brand new, but it's been there for a little while. It's a LEED-certified business, so everything is up to the standards that they have for recycling water. They recycle all their gray water. It's amazing. It's super clean. It's exceptional. I've visited a couple of others, and I saw what their activities were about, and what a difference! Here, they have a grand piano in the foyer as you go in there. There is a sort of common area. It's very welcoming. They have a cafe where anyone can walk up and get espresso, regular coffee, and tea. You can just go up, and you don't have to ask anybody. It's not hard to find, too. The way it's designed is that they have big windows, so that the nature, the trees, and everything reflect right into the space. My husband is not someone to come and listen to music, but in the afternoons, they have a variety of live music throughout the week. Someone either plays the grand piano, or people come in and play violin from the symphony. It was amazing. Every day, they have these games and things that you could participate in if you want to, or you could just sit there and read the paper. They have Jeopardy games, and they were fun and easy for people to do. A lot of participants came down. Another feature about this is that it has 51% men, which is unusual. They weren't necessarily impaired. Some were, of course, but many of them were widows who didn't want to keep up their homes anymore. They knew they were getting into their 80s and wanted to make sure they didn't fall or whatever, and so here they came, and it was great. My husband made a lot of friends, which was amazing."

"I visit this facility regularly, as my client has weekly hair appointments here. I am always impressed. The lobby is beautiful and clean, and there are often musical performances in the afternoons. There are a multitude of things to do, whether it's visiting the casino, learning to use Facebook, or playing Wii Golf. The staff knows my client by name, even though she isn't a resident. I would not worry about my client's welfare if she chose to live at this facility."

"My wife is at Sunrise of Bellevue. We looked all the ones around here, and that was the best one. It is a very friendly and very nice place. There are a lot of activities. The staff is very patient, very friendly, and very nice. The rooms there are fine. They are large, very nice, and very clean. Food is very good. They have a bistro there like a big restaurant, yet they have individual eating places in various part of the facility. "

"Cogir of Queen Anne was clean and nicely decorated. The people were very warm and friendly when they passed us in the hall. I toured a couple of rooms. The woman who brought me around was just delightful, very warm, informative, and friendly. All the residents were saying hello to her. It's a very good community. The dining room was really lovely, big, light, and airy, and the menu looked fabulous."

"It had a very nice entry, and there was a welcoming committee. I was looking at studios, and they were very nice, clean, and decent sized. We had lunch there several times, and the food was very good -- ample amounts and very tasty. The staff was very accommodating and very well trained. "

We can't thank Overlake Terrace for their loving care and going the extra mile to help us thru these painful times. It is these actions why we agreed Overlake Terrace will always be our home."

"Cogir of Kirkland only has assisted living, they don't have memory care. It's a lovely place. They showed me a studio apartment that was quite lovely. The place itself was very nice and the staff was nice, but they couldn't provide what my husband needs. I would like to have a swimming pool and they don't have a swimming pool, but they have everything else. I'd go there myself. The room they showed me was a corner room. There was a bed, a couch, a TV, and a very small kitchen. It's large enough. The dining area was probably 25 steps away. The people that I talked to were charming and wonderful. They were great."
