"My Mom has been a resident of Riverside East for over 10 years. The care she has received in her one-bedroom apartment is the best, and the staff are all so loving in their interactions with her. When Mom 1st moved in, her primary need was for medication management. As her needs for care are changing due to the health issues with which she now struggles, Riverside's staff promptly addresses the issues involved, steps up the level of her care accordingly, and communicates directly and in a timely manner with me as well. Riverside East has become my "home-away-from-home" as I am made to feel so welcome whenever I visit Mom. In summary, I can't say enough about the comfort I experience with my Mom living at Riverside East. I highly recommend this retirement/assisted living facility."

"I will complete my first year at The Creekside in December (2016). As an 86 year old widower, I could not hope for a better place to spend the rest of my days. The availability of activities keeps me as busy as I want to be and the meals are outstanding. The staff is friendly, helpful and make you feel like family "

"We toured Madison House. It was a very nice community. It was very clean, spacious, and close to medical care. They had a lot of good things and a lot of activities planned. The dining room is nice. There was nothing wrong with the place. I just don't have the kind of money that they need. They show a movie at 6:00 or something like that. They have games. People play together with crossword puzzles. They have a gym and a weight room. They have laundry facilities for the people who are in independent living. One of the rooms the staff showed me had a nice balcony that had a nice view of the area. They were going to allow me to keep my dog, which is a big deal for me. The staff was very helpful and understanding."

"My father has been in here for three days now. It's clean, friendly, and professional, and it's everything he needs. He is in a studio apartment, but they have a variety of rooms. His apartment has a bathroom in the hallway. At the end of the hallway is the bedroom/living room. It has a kitchenette with a mini fridge and a sink, a view of the Cascades Mountains, a deck, and a very roomy walk-in closet. The dining room serves three meals a day. They have a walking club, a gardening club, and quite a few daily activities that change each day. They have a beauty salon for haircuts, manicures, and pedicures, a library with computer access, an activity room, and a very small gym with some cardio equipment. It's also pet friendly."

"My husband and I are residents of MorningStar of Kirkland. The food is very good. It's presented very nicely, and everything is always delicious. We have a wonderful chef. It's very clean. They take excellent care of us. There's a lot of great activities. We have no complaints. They have an exercise facility, so they have exercise classes, and they bring in entertainment. They take us on trips, like on Christmas day, they took us on a tour to see the Christmas lights all over Kirkland and in the area. They take us to concerts downtown. Everything is great. The staff is very helpful, courteous, and considerate. There's no disappointment. It's a great place."

"Empress Senior Living was amazing. It was more expensive, but I seriously considered it. It's just that the rooms were kind of small and a little depressing. They didn't have carpet in them. Also, there's only 17 people there right now, so there's nobody in the memory care. They're still trying to fill up the place. They're really new, so they don't have very many peoplel, which made it not a good fit, but again the people were absolutely fantastic. I really, really, really like them."

"We had a tour at Ballard Landmark. It's a high rise. The rooms were neat, clean, and very nicely appointed. The staff was very friendly. We even ate there; we had salmon. It was very good. They have exercise classes, book clubs, game nights. They have all those standard things that most assisted livings have. They take their people out to museums and plays and things like that. I really liked the rooms. I did not like the price. "

"Cogir of Kirkland only has assisted living, they don't have memory care. It's a lovely place. They showed me a studio apartment that was quite lovely. The place itself was very nice and the staff was nice, but they couldn't provide what my husband needs. I would like to have a swimming pool and they don't have a swimming pool, but they have everything else. I'd go there myself. The room they showed me was a corner room. There was a bed, a couch, a TV, and a very small kitchen. It's large enough. The dining area was probably 25 steps away. The people that I talked to were charming and wonderful. They were great."

"Peters Creek Retirement Assisted Living & Memory Care was well located. It had all the things you need as far as food service and medications. It was clean. The staff during the tour was very helpful, and she was a problem solver. Any issues that my father-in-law had, she would have taken care of."

"Brookdale Monroe is close to our home and it's going pretty well for my mother-in-law. She has dementia so she's in the memory care unit, and they help her with bathing, using the bathroom, dressing, and everything else. The staff is nice and attentive. The place is clean and perfect for seniors. It's kind of bland and boring, but that's what they like."

"Oak Park Retirement was very nice. The lady who gave me the tour was excellent. However, it appears to be 99% assisted living even though it advertised as independent living. The apartments were nice, and they were larger than some other places, with nice window space. Everything about it was really comfortable-looking all the way around except that there were very few independent living people there. Lunch was acceptable."
