Our average age for assisted living residents is 82, and we have a ton of activities to keep anyone as busy as they want to be. Our community features anytime restaurant style dining, 3 full time activity directors, a full schedule of transportation, and events and activities that take place both inside and outside of the community.

Chef John has been with our community for 6 years. John graduated Culinary College while working in local restaurants and began his career in fine dining in Downtown Seattle, where he worked for Victor Rossellini and ultimately became chef for Rossellini’s 5 Star restaurant “The Other Place”. He then travelled to Europe as a “Commis de Cuisine” for Hotel Suisse et Majestic in Montreaux, Switzerland. After returning to the U.S., he resumed his work for Rossellini at “The Four-10”, where he acted as the sous chef. He went on to be the chef at Duke’s in Bellevue and chef at various prestigious restaurants around the Pacific Northwest. He is able to accommodate all special diets and his greatest passion is saying "yes" to special requests.

Our overall population is 2/3 independent with an average age of 81. Most of our residents are very active and outgoing, many still drive and some still work and volunteer. Our residents enjoy happy hours, BBQ's, concerts, trips to the museum or the theater, overnight trips (such as Leavenworth or Ocean Shores), educational series and presentations, book clubs, exercise classes, and more.

We are near the Mill Creek Town Center and the Mill Creek Library, as well as numerous parks and golf courses.
What are some recent off-site events that the community activity director at Cogir of Mill Creek has organized?
We recently had an overnight trip to Leavenworth and also a trip to the Seattle Gold Rush Museum
