"I toured Meridian at Stone Creek for my wife and it's an excellent facility. I met, I think, two of the staff. The place looked very, very well maintained and they were very friendly and answered any questions I had. I saw the dining room, the recreation area, or the outside area, and I saw the main area. I also saw some rooms and they're clean, small, but fine. I think they do some arts and crafts stuff, and they provide areas for people to get together and play cards and that kind of stuff."

"Mill Ridge Village in Milton is a nice facility. You can walk to a grocery store from there. It's close to a strip mall where they have drug stores, grocery stores and you can just walk over. Location-wise, for being able to get out of the shop a little bit, it's quite convenient. The staff was also very nice. They were very enthusiastic and everybody we saw was very cordial. They have good staff, I think. The building was fairly large and it's kind of like a big circle with a courtyard in the center and the dining room was adjacent to the courtyard. It was quite nice. You go into a room with big windows and there is a courtyard with flowers and stuff so this is very pleasant. We didn't get to eat their food. We were there first thing in the morning, so there was no food being offered. The setting was quite nice though. One thing that was positive about it is that you're fairly close to many small towns. You can go to Puyallup, you can go to Tacoma, or you can get on the freeway to go up further north so location-wise, it's good. I still drive and we do a lot in the car so I like the location."

"I went to Village Concepts of Auburn - Brannan Park. The tour was good, but they had no rooms. The people I talked to were good. They helped me out quite a bit. The rooms were okay. It was clean enough, and that's the main thing. I talked to the people in the front office. They're helpful. The cleanliness of the building looked all right. The atmosphere was a little bit upbeat. The room sizes were small but good."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Prestige Senior Living Auburn Meadows. They're fantastic. They make the life of an elderly comfortable. Their accommodation is very comfortable. They cleaned the apartment out including the carpet, and everything was painted. They have staff members who do above and beyond their call of duty. They're absolutely amazing. The only thing that concerns me is there's only one elevator in this 2-story building."

"This is the one my mom chose after looking at a few others. That is the one she likes. It is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. She is in a one-bedroom apartment. Everyone seems to have a great time. They all go on their activities together. I've eaten with her a few times, and the food is good. It's been great."

"Cogir of Kent was the one that we would have chosen for my friend. What we liked best about it was the warm welcome, this beautiful room, and the amenities that were in that room, and just the feel of it. It's a studio, but it had really tall ceilings. It was beautifully appointed. It had a washer and dryer in the unit, as well as a full kitchen, oven, and dishwasher. We saw the independent living at this time, but with the availability of more care should she need it. Every unit had its own patio, and she could bring her cat. I'm sold. I'm ready to move there. I've been telling everybody how great this place is. The staff was very friendly and very informative. They had great follow-ups, too. It was like walking into a four-star hotel. They have a gym. We didn't get up there, but there's a rooftop patio. They have van service, no set times for meals, and a beautiful menu. It's a great location."

"GenCare Lifestyle Tacoma at Point Ruston is a new place. The apartments were very nice. The food was great. The cafeteria was very nice. However, there was no place for a dog, and we have a dog. They showed us an apartment on the sixth floor, and I want a ground floor. It was an okay apartment. It was clean and nice, but it had no balcony, no patio, and no outside space. And I can't live in a box. We had lunch there, and it was very good. The people were very nice. The amenities were very nice. It's just the apartment itself was just an apartment. We have a house that has 14-foot ceilings and lots of glass, and there, I felt like I'm in a little box and I couldn't do it. There was no access to the outside, which was the big downfall, and the fact that there was no grassy area for the dogs. The staff were all very nice and very helpful. They took us around and showed us the swimming pool. The amenities were very, very nice. "

"We've had mom in Wynwood for almost one month. She has her own apartment. It's in Tacoma so it's close to myself and all of my sisters. The staff is fantastic. The apartments are fantastic. The room looked nice. It's probably about average. We pay $2305 a month and then $150 tax a month for their meals. They get three meals a day plus snacks and they basically can come and go. They have a beautiful type of restaurant downstairs that they go to where they can order off a menu. They can have the food delivered to their room. They give five free meal deliveries a month. Other than that, it would be $5 if they have a meal delivered to their room. They have a bunch of trips. They have musicians come which is really, really nice. "

"Avista Sumner was a very nice place. They've got very friendly people. The rooms were a little too small for us, but the community was nice. The director was nice. We had a great tour. If the rooms would have been bigger, I would have considered it for my mom. The staff I met were great. They were very friendly. I did try the food, and it was good. The dining area didn't look like anything special. It just looked like a very dull cafeteria. What I liked best about it were the location and the staff."

"El Dorado West Retirement seemed a very good place. We are very happy with the lady that toured us all over the facility. We were happy with our tour even if they don’t have any availability at that time. The apartments are very clean and orderly. "
