"The staff I met at Village Concepts of Auburn - Brannan Park all seemed very caring and willing to work with you. The layout seems to be OK. I didn't get to see any activities. There wasn't anything bad there. One thing that I thought was kind of missing was the exercise area. They were putting something together, but it didn't seem like it was all that great at the moment. I looked inside the area where they eat, and that looked fine. The rooms that they had available seemed spacious. The Medicaid rooms are very small."

"The staff at Farrington went above and beyond to make my parents feel comfortable and at home. Any concerns were addressed quickly and well. The food was excellent, tasty and fresh. The kitchen stayed open for longer hours than other places we checked. The grounds and residence were well maintained and beautifully decorated during the holidays. Many interesting social activities were offered, both in residence and out and about."

"This is the one my mom chose after looking at a few others. That is the one she likes. It is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice. She is in a one-bedroom apartment. Everyone seems to have a great time. They all go on their activities together. I've eaten with her a few times, and the food is good. It's been great."

"I have been in this community for 9 months. I like the privacy most of all. The cleanliness and the food selection are both excellent. My daily walk around the building totally unencumbered is wonderful. Last, but not least, COGIR is a community of caring individuals. Most residents care about each other and their daily well-being. I enjoy living here. ,"

"I went to the Reserve at Seatac. I think it was good, except for certain facilities that were limited; the computer room wasn't even open. It was clean, the person touring us was very professional, great customer service, and helpful. The apartments were excellent, really nice, all modern. They had a lounge, huge fireplace in the common area, there was a recreation room, a common dining area, meeting rooms that they could reserve, they had a little theater, and that was actually a plus. It's close to a bus stop, so it's convenient."

"GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston was beautiful, but it was just a little too above the price point. The staff members are wonderful, caring people, they are. The rooms were very nice. Everybody has their private bedroom in their shared rooms, but they share the bathroom. You walk through a door and there's the bathroom off to the left, and then there's a door for one resident's room and then the next door to another door for the other resident's room. They're kind of private, but they share a bathroom, and that was nice. They have a deck because they're up on the third floor. They can also go down to the courtyard, but they have to be escorted. They were wonderful and genuinely caring. The residents seemed to be very happy there."

"We wanted to be very careful when choosing a place for my sister and ultimately she would make the decision when she came to town. We looked at so many Senior Living facilities in the area for her. They all offered something different and prices varied from place to place. She chose Solstice because it was a warm and friendly place and the people that lived there seemed to really like it. My sister has lived there for years now and calls it home. The apartments are nice and the staff is great! The activities are fun and engaging and there is always a little something for everyone. The food is really good too. Carla is in the office and is supportive of the people that live there and her staff, but also takes time if I have questions. She seems to really care about the people that live there and her staff. They all greet me with a smile and friendly hello. I would highly recommend Solstice in Normandy Park."

"I toured Life Manor and I think it was very good. I spoke with the assistant manager, and she gave me a tour and it was very nice. I only looked at the studios, which is what I'm interested in. They have two different buildings. One building is just, I guess, a rental place, and you don't get anything other than your room. And the second place has meals and services provided. That's the place that I'm going to choose. They had a few activities scheduled throughout the month, like outings. I think they're adequate. They had a lobby where you could meet. The place was very clean, and the rooms were very nice. They have a brunch, and then an evening meal. They only serve two meals a day, which is adequate. I was invited to have brunch with them, and it was very good. It was a lot better than where I'm living. Life Manor is very reasonably priced. I'm surprised about that."

"Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was very pleasant. The people were very nice. I spoke to some of the residents and they were very pleased with what was going on. They had a huge list of activities. The facilities were clean and of a very appropriate size. The units were very comfortable. In my opinion, their storage was just not enough. Their closets and so on were not what I would want."

"Brookdale is a very nice community with lots of amenities and services. The rooms are nice, and the help is nice too. But its a little more expensive than most places. "

"I really liked El Dorado West. It's a very lovely facility. It was very warm and welcoming. They have a large dining room where people sit and be by themselves, or they can sit with somebody else. There were a ton of activities. I liked the fact that they come in and change the linens on a weekly basis, and my sister doesn't have to purchase food or prepare food. The staff members weren't communicating very well with each other because I gave them the deposit and I called them to get the deposit back and I asked them if I could get the medical records that the doctor's office had sent them and the staff said, "Yes, I'll make sure you get those." When I went to pick them up, they had been shredded, so they were not having good communication. I was not very happy. We had lunch there, and it was very good. They had a lot of different facilities. They had a game room and a large theater type thing with a very comfortable theater chair, so they can watch movies or watch ball games. They also have a hairdresser onsite for those who want to have that."

"I toured Cogir at the Narrows. It was clean and nice looking. The staff was nice and professional. There are books in the hallway in the waiting room. They were under construction, but it still looked good."

"We toured Sound Vista Village. That one was really pretty and surrounded by trees. However, since my brother has stage 4 cancer, and so we don't know how long he's going to last, we needed a place that easily goes through different levels of care, and I don't feel that Sound Vista Village had enough staff or anything set up for my brother. It was a beautiful place, but they seemed to have only one kind of nurse on hand who seemed a little bit overworked if someone required a higher level of care. They had a beautiful courtyard and gardens where people could garden. They had just put up an outside covered area that would be nice. It was a beautiful facility; it was just the level of care that we were concerned with there. It's in an area where it's not too far from grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping and all kinds of things, so that would be a bonus over the other place. "

"Peninsula was great. It was very nice. It was beautiful inside. Their chairs are the other round, curved leather chairs, and if it's a hot day, your clothes would stick to them. Other than that, it was really nice. Nice dining room. The rooms were nice and quiet, especially the ones they showed me. They also mentioned to me that there's a big shopping area that's close by, and that's really convenient. That was great because the food was excellent in that area. There are a lot of restaurants. It was a really nice place. They had everything. They have a lot of card games and different activities to keep you busy. The staff members were nice. They have a pretty good size library. It's pretty much a modern building. It's a newer building and they have a lot of nice things in there. They have raised gardens in the back where you could grow your own stuff. They have of course bus tours, and that was awful nice to have. They have a good size dining area. It was more like a dining room style. It was pretty homey. It's a big place. There's a lot of rooms and a lot of people."
