"Cogir of Kent was very good, but it was a distance from my house. The tour was very good. They had the same setup as the other place. They showed me a studio apartment. The staff was very nice. There was one person that led me around. I was so amazed that I didn't pay too much attention. I didn't realize that any place could be that nice."

"I thought the facilities of Brookdale West Seattle were excellent and the manager was very warm and inviting. The reason I didn’t choose them is because my mother has had gardens her entire life and I didn’t think there were enough scenery around her because there weren't any balconies or anything like that. The rooms were very clean and adequate for her needs. It just wasn’t in the right location. "

"We went to Village Concepts of Fairwood. It was very nice. Beautiful grounds. Beautiful building. They have lots of staff and friendly people. The apartments were very nice and very beautiful. The staff who helped me with the tour was great. She was very nice and very helpful. She answered questions and pointed everything out for us. The dining area was very nice. They had lots of options, and they had a couple of different places to eat. They had lots of activities, a game room, an art room, a beauty salon that was nice and a library."

"We saw the memory care unit. If my husband had the money, it would be a nice place. The staff was very friendly, polite, and informative. The grounds and the location were great. It is easy to get to. The apartments were OK and had plenty of room. I love that it's a shared unit. They were very clean."

"Solstice Senior Living at Renton was so nice. The rooms were nice, and they had everything that you needed at your fingertips. It was just amazing to me how it was set up. They had entertainment. They had a garden where you could go out and sit and just kind of do a little gardening. Before noon, they would have a little session if there were any concerns, if there was anything that you needed, or if you wanted to socialize. They had a little game room. They had a computer room. It was like heaven because they did everything for you. You didn't have to lift a finger. They had people to clean your room. They had people to do your laundry. They gave me a little snack, and that was nice. There was gingerbread which I haven't had in a long time. It was made with their special recipe. The staff was nice and helpful. When I walked in the front door, I saw my name on the billboard. It was all printed out. The lady who assisted me was so sweet. She even called to check on me just in general. Not to see if I was going to move in, but just to see how I was doing and if I needed anything that she could help me with. The place was very clean. They had a winding staircase and a baby grand piano. You have your own apartment, but you don't have to cook because they have that downstairs. You go downstairs to the cafeteria and then they have 3 meals a day and a snack. Or you could go down and have coffee or tea whenever you wanted to. They even had parking and you could have visitors."

"I toured Brookdale Foundation House. I liked the fact that they included meals and transportation in the service. My concern is there isn't enough space. I'm trying to downsize from a house to a one- or two-bedroom apartment, and it's not enough space for me. The rooms seem to be very nice. They were roomy and didn't have a whole lot of stuff. They're great. They have little kitchenettes off of the rooms. I didn't see a lot of the staff. I can see them at a distance. They seemed to be interacting well with the clients, seeing what they wanted to eat in the dining room, and things like that. So they seem to be very helpful. The dining room was a pleasant room for people to interact and socialize. The community is near shopping areas. It looks like it's pretty well laid out. What I didn't like was that the available rooms were so far from the dining area. I'd probably end up using my electric wheelchair to get from point A to point B depending on where I got a room in there. But as far as the layout, it's convenient, and it's close to shopping and other amenities. I also looked at the menu and the choices looked like they were good choices with variety."

Three delicious home-prepared meals are served every day in our gracious dining room. Daily care is provided by a team of dedicated caregivers who offer all the personalized care and support residents need. Additionally, we have Home doctors and a team of licensed nurses to provide both consultation and nursing services. "We went to Village Concepts of Auburn - Brannan Park. The staff was very informative and answered all of my questions. They were very forthright as far as I could tell. They're very caring about their residents. Everything was done very professionally. I felt it was run in a way that made me feel like this would be a good fit for my mother. We saw both their assisted living and their memory care. The one room that we did see was vacant, so it was nice and clean. There were no odors or anything offensive about it. The carpet looked new and it had been replaced. It was very upbeat and bright. We were there early in the morning, so there wasn't too much going on. A few people were watching TV or wandering around, just stretching their legs and things like that. A few people were eating their breakfast, but not a whole lot going on as yet. They had a gathering area with a fireplace and TV. They had eating areas. They had washer and dryer laundry facilities. I visited the public restroom and it was very clean. There was nothing that turned us off about it. We were impressed with everything."

"I visit this facility regularly, as my client has weekly hair appointments here. I am always impressed. The lobby is beautiful and clean, and there are often musical performances in the afternoons. There are a multitude of things to do, whether it's visiting the casino, learning to use Facebook, or playing Wii Golf. The staff knows my client by name, even though she isn't a resident. I would not worry about my client's welfare if she chose to live at this facility."

"My parents have moved into Regency Newcastle. I chose it because it was close to me and I enjoyed the people that work there. I talked to a lot of them. My parents' room is large. We got a two-bedroom, two-bath. It's a beautiful room. All the employees there were very supportive. With my mom, it's been rough trying to switch her, and they've all been just great trying to help her through the big change. They have a therapy pool there with a physical therapist, and it would be really good for both of my parents. The dining area is absolutely beautiful, but it was shut down because of COVID. I only had a hamburger there and my parents have had nothing but sandwiches. There are a lot of activities, but again, it was shut down. We haven't had a chance to do any of those. I did love that they have a fireplace downstairs in the bistro that they could go down. There's water and coffee for them throughout the whole day. I loved the outdoors. There's seating for them with umbrellas over and they could go there and get outside and enjoy listening to the birds. There are walking trails close by. There's a beautiful park right across the street."

"I have lived in independent living at Covenant Shores since 1995. During that time my husband had to be in the Health Center for 2 1/2 years. He received excellent care. Now the Health Center is again in excellent shape having gone through some problems in the recent past. The activities director in the Reflections department now is helping each individual express interests. Music, art, social outreach, memory support are there. I can whole heartedly recommend Covenant Shores as a CCRC (Community Care Center) where the leaders truly care for each resident."

"The Meridian at Stone Creek is a big community. The people were very helpful, they gave us a complete tour, we saw the rooms, and we saw the menu. It was clean. I think they also have cottages, but they're a lot more expensive. The cottages were very nice, and there was a garden between the main building and the cottages that looked pretty nice. The staff was caring, helpful, and respectful. The people seemed old. It didn't look like there were a lot of activities, and it was pretty sedate, although they have a bar there. One thing that's really nice about it is that it's on a big acre, it's peaceful, and not too far from the freeway, but not close to restaurants."

"We went to GenCare LifeStyle at Point Ruston. It was beautiful. My mom and I had a great lunch there. We loved it. However, my mom would not be able to afford it. Also, it is not like a place that will help you go on to Medicaid. That's not part of their program. We went to see the whole place and see what it was like. The staff showed us everything. The whole system looks like it's an amazing place for people who can still enjoy a bit of life while they're older. The staff seemed sincerely happy to work there. There were lots of smiles. It seemed like they have the best of the best in their staff. They were all just very positive, very friendly, and professional. We saw a couple of rooms, and those rooms were very nice. The whole lobby area was filled with people who were having a nice time and nice conversations. It looked very lively."
