"We have been residents of Judson Park for six months now. We are independent living, but it has continuing care through the end of life. It's wonderful. It feels like home. Even though we have only been here for a short time, we have met and enjoyed a lot of different people and different activities. We love our apartment. Our apartment is bigger than our house in Arizona. It's only a one-bedroom, but it doesn't matter. We love it there. The activities are great. There is lots to do. They're so accommodating. If you need something, you can get it. It's an amazing place. They have many physical exercise programs. They have lots and lots of different card groups. I belong to a needlecraft group where we knit and crochet. They're remodeling an area for that sort of stuff right now to accommodate more things. They have a beautiful library. We do trips on the bus that they have. They have transportation to dental or doctor appointments. There is a woodshop. There are garden beds that you can use to plant flowers or vegetables. There are lots of spiritual activities that you can participate in if you want, but there is no pressure to do so at all. They have shopping trips and happy hours once a week for the whole community. There are lots of entertainers that come and perform for us. The staff members are fabulous. The meals are wonderful. We feel pampered every day. There are lots of choices. We have specialty meals. Once a month, they have a buffet of some kind, and usually there is a theme to it, like Mexican Night, Irish Night, or whatever. They also go all out on decorations. They make it fun and very enjoyable. The food is beyond compare; it is like going out to dinner every night at a special restaurant. We celebrated their 60th anniversary here not too long ago. They've added two full wings and a skilled nursing center as well. They keep it up very nicely. It's beautifully landscaped, and it's always clean, and they're always refreshing areas. If somebody moves out of an apartment, they would completely redo it."

"My father in law entered Judson Park from the hospital, nonresponsive and dehydrated. After one night at Judson Park, he is alert, clean shaven, hydrated, and starting to talk to us. I am so impressed with how friendly and attentive the people are-- from the housekeepers, to nursing staff, admitting staff and the doctor. "

"My husband spent 21 days in Talbot Rehab. Now, he is much better. The food was fine, it was clean, it did not have a bad odor -- some of the patients maybe that had problems -- but it was nice, and I think they did a good job. I did have trouble with the social worker not communicating with me much, but maybe that was just their way of handling it. They seem to work behind the scenes and didn't have to work with me I guess. They had a big meeting, given him tests and everything, andtold him what is what, and he has been following all the medications, so he is better. Nice rooms with a view from the floor of trees and plants, and that was nice. They had activities, and the rehab itself seemed very beneficial. They had some games and crossword puzzles, which my husband participated in. I ate lunches and dinners with him many days, and the food was good. Sometimes the help was a little strange, but I think they have a hard time finding people who want to work in places where everyone is so debilitated, but all in all it was good. It was just that the people who were serving the meals maybe were a little fresh off the boat, so they didn't understand what we were talking about. But then, when their supervisor would come along, she was great. She was always there, so you could just go to her if you are having a problem. She was part of the servers, but she was definitely in charge of everything. They had their rules, and they made people stick to them, which were good, otherwise we would kind of upset the routine. They had table heights for people with wheelchair, so that they are up closer, and you have to allow the people who need those to sit there. I thought it was very well-run. Security seemed fine, but they could be a little more. They had a patio that had a gate, a fence, and everything, but the people could have easily gotten away, so people who cannot be trusted not to wander would not do as well there. I was most impressed by the friendliness of the nurses who were actually providing care and dispensing the medications. They were very nice and easy to get along with. I liked it, and I liked the location. It was kitty-corner from the hospital, so if anybody needed 911, they would be able to take them there quickly. It used to get a bad grade, but I think they've solved the problems because the food was good, it was clean and not depressing, and it was nice. "

"I thought my son had good care at North Auburn, and I don't have complaints with the staff. They were very good and very friendly to him. The food was good and had a nice variety with a choice of three juices, hot chocolate, or coffee while waiting for the meals. He was in a shared room that they did a good job keeping it and the room him clean."

"I was very satisfied with the care the staff gave to my brother. My brother was the first disabled patient they accepted; they were very tentative at first but thanks to my sister and her undying tenacity, they finally agreed to accept him. The therapy my brother received was amazing, restoring his verbal skills as well as muscle strengthening. He went to rehab everyday, the speech therapist came to him and they were all kind and supportive. The activities coordinator was wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. The facility is a bit dated but who cares...once in a blue moon I would pop in with my brother to say "hello". Many of the staff I no longer know, but I am so grateful to Burien Nursing Rehab for all that they did for my brother."

"They treat me really nice here. In my case I’m pretty stable but they help me make my bed and are helping me look for a home. They help me with my diabetic diet that I don’t know how to manage on my own. Nurses do their job well Jeri is the best and she does her job without asking, she is so nice to the patients. The rooms are big, I have my own tv and closet. "

"The physical appearance of Wesley Lea Hill in Auburn is very good. The grounds are 19 acres, this is one of the largest I've seen or heard about, and it's very impressive. Their plan was a very good layout, and they have all the comforts and amenities you want. The staffs who gave the tour are very courteous and tried to answer our questions. They're very nice. They do activities and they discussed that. They have a large variety of activities and hobbies, Bible studies, the opportunity to pursue whatever hobby you like. They also have shopping trips and so on. I like the rooms very well, they're spacious and very well appointed, they're in very good shape."

"The place my sister is at is the Regency Auburn. It is pretty much like most nursing homes. She is in a double room, and it is pleasant. It has a window, small with 2 people in it, and it has a couple of generous closets and a shared bathroom -- very basic and very plain. She has just been there for 1 day. The staff is friendly, but there are too many patients for the amount of staff. The food is regular nursing home fare. I’ve been to there to see my sister once when she was eating lunch, and I think she thought that her lunch was OK. They need more staff to care for the patients. Also, my sister needed a special bed, and that wasn’t provided adequately, so I think they need to provide better equipment. "

"Vashon Community Care was a very well maintained and clean facility. The staff always seemed very pleasant and dedicated to the residents. They also had a program called "Break Time" that would occasionally (weekly?) take trips and actually leave the facility, which I thought was great. All the meals were made in the cafeteria and there were always at least two choices for a main course. My grandmother had her own small apartment on the 2nd floor and honestly it could have been any apartment. Maybe a little hospital like but overall I was very impressed and very happy with the way my grandmother was treated and how everyone was treated. I never witnessed an employee lose their cool or speak harshly to any resident. With all the horror stories you hear about nursing homes and abuse I never once worried that it was occurring or would ever occur. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in the difficult position of needing some help in taking care of their loved ones. "

"The staff here are so wonderful and caring. My mother-in-law is in stage 6 Alzheimer's and wanders, scared, and previously wanting to go home. Now this is her home. The staff treat her so well, as if she were their mother! Mostbfacilities (even ones I have worked in) smell horrible, but this one does not. We love the care and respect she receives here. Also, she may fight getting dressed and showered, but she is always clean and teeth brushed! We couldnt ask for a better facility! There are others much closer for us, but they cant come close to the care we have received from Seamar. Don't let the area of the facility bother you. It is very safe and secure. Two thumbs up!!! Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of our mom! "

"The grounds at Caroline Kline Galland Home look beautiful, the staff has been very good working with my dad, and they're trying to get him so he can be a little more independent. I'm really happy with them. He was in quarantine when he got there; they're working very hard to get everybody safe. He said that the food seemed to be fine, it's kosher, though he's not Jewish. But they will allow you to bring in food from outside, so we've brought him food a couple of times now. Some of the issue is just with the communication, and trying to manage everything during the pandemic. The staff I've dealt with have been great, they've been very helpful, and seemed to be very concerned. They're trying to make sure that my dad's being taken care of. From what I've seen, the place looks really clean."

"The Kenney is where I wanted my mother to go to. I like the facility. It has a really good reputation. It's been around this town for years and it has been maintained for a long time. My mother thought the price was too much. That's why she didn't go there. What's neat is you can start out there independent and they take you til you're fully dependent. It goes all across that span and it's got a very high reputation for its care. The rooms are very nice. It depends on how much you want to pay but the small rooms are small. The food is very good. The dining room looked really convenient like any one could come and go in there and it's very spacious. After we found out how much it was, that was kind of the end of it for her. "
