"My husband spent 21 days in Talbot Rehab. Now, he is much better. The food was fine, it was clean, it did not have a bad odor -- some of the patients maybe that had problems -- but it was nice, and I think they did a good job. I did have trouble with the social worker not communicating with me much, but maybe that was just their way of handling it. They seem to work behind the scenes and didn't have to work with me I guess. They had a big meeting, given him tests and everything, andtold him what is what, and he has been following all the medications, so he is better. Nice rooms with a view from the floor of trees and plants, and that was nice. They had activities, and the rehab itself seemed very beneficial. They had some games and crossword puzzles, which my husband participated in. I ate lunches and dinners with him many days, and the food was good. Sometimes the help was a little strange, but I think they have a hard time finding people who want to work in places where everyone is so debilitated, but all in all it was good. It was just that the people who were serving the meals maybe were a little fresh off the boat, so they didn't understand what we were talking about. But then, when their supervisor would come along, she was great. She was always there, so you could just go to her if you are having a problem. She was part of the servers, but she was definitely in charge of everything. They had their rules, and they made people stick to them, which were good, otherwise we would kind of upset the routine. They had table heights for people with wheelchair, so that they are up closer, and you have to allow the people who need those to sit there. I thought it was very well-run. Security seemed fine, but they could be a little more. They had a patio that had a gate, a fence, and everything, but the people could have easily gotten away, so people who cannot be trusted not to wander would not do as well there. I was most impressed by the friendliness of the nurses who were actually providing care and dispensing the medications. They were very nice and easy to get along with. I liked it, and I liked the location. It was kitty-corner from the hospital, so if anybody needed 911, they would be able to take them there quickly. It used to get a bad grade, but I think they've solved the problems because the food was good, it was clean and not depressing, and it was nice. "

"The grounds at Caroline Kline Galland Home look beautiful, the staff has been very good working with my dad, and they're trying to get him so he can be a little more independent. I'm really happy with them. He was in quarantine when he got there; they're working very hard to get everybody safe. He said that the food seemed to be fine, it's kosher, though he's not Jewish. But they will allow you to bring in food from outside, so we've brought him food a couple of times now. Some of the issue is just with the communication, and trying to manage everything during the pandemic. The staff I've dealt with have been great, they've been very helpful, and seemed to be very concerned. They're trying to make sure that my dad's being taken care of. From what I've seen, the place looks really clean."

"We toured Timber Ridge at Talus. They were very helpful. They had a lovely library. The unit was much smaller than the other two places that I've looked at. The food was very good, and it was restaurant-type dining. You could eat in the main dining room or different places. So, that was nice. They had a beauty shop and they had a pool, and that was very important to me because I like water aerobics. They were very supportive of the residents' interest. They had a general meeting room. This facility was located in a very nice residential area. The front desk staff was efficient, knew their job well, and was very hospitable. The building was very nice, but there was no adequate parking."

"I visited this facility and spent about a week meeting the staff and visiting with residents. The nursing assistants (who provide care directly to the residents) are all very hard working, and they seem to have a personal attachment to many of their residents. They meet daily to discuss changes in each resident's condition, so they are all aware of any new needs or concerns. The residents seemed to especially enjoy mealtimes when they were almost all able to sit together (and the food looked appealing). "

"The staff here are so wonderful and caring. My mother-in-law is in stage 6 Alzheimer's and wanders, scared, and previously wanting to go home. Now this is her home. The staff treat her so well, as if she were their mother! Mostbfacilities (even ones I have worked in) smell horrible, but this one does not. We love the care and respect she receives here. Also, she may fight getting dressed and showered, but she is always clean and teeth brushed! We couldnt ask for a better facility! There are others much closer for us, but they cant come close to the care we have received from Seamar. Don't let the area of the facility bother you. It is very safe and secure. Two thumbs up!!! Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of our mom! "

"My mom is at Avamere Rehabilitation of Issaquah. We like the feel and energy of it. The people seem to be very caring. They don't ignore her, which is important. We had concerns like the TV not working, but the next day it was fixed. They pay attention to what you need. My mom has been a resident for two weeks now and is in a shared room. The interaction with the staff is excellent. So far, we are very happy with it."

"I was very satisfied with the care the staff gave to my brother. My brother was the first disabled patient they accepted; they were very tentative at first but thanks to my sister and her undying tenacity, they finally agreed to accept him. The therapy my brother received was amazing, restoring his verbal skills as well as muscle strengthening. He went to rehab everyday, the speech therapist came to him and they were all kind and supportive. The activities coordinator was wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. The facility is a bit dated but who cares...once in a blue moon I would pop in with my brother to say "hello". Many of the staff I no longer know, but I am so grateful to Burien Nursing Rehab for all that they did for my brother."

"I found the facility to be alright. Funishings and decor were sparse and dated, they felt a little old and dingy. It was often difficult to find people who were working and many were not friendly or helpful. I think that the rooms needed to be freshened up, the paint and fixures needed updating. the workers didn't seem to be that friendly with my relative who was staying there. they were a little rough when dealing with her. maybe they are overworked and underpaid? the atmosphere seemed sad i believe that more could be done to improve the quality of life for the residents. "My father in law entered Judson Park from the hospital, nonresponsive and dehydrated. After one night at Judson Park, he is alert, clean shaven, hydrated, and starting to talk to us. I am so impressed with how friendly and attentive the people are-- from the housekeepers, to nursing staff, admitting staff and the doctor. "

"I thought my son had good care at North Auburn, and I don't have complaints with the staff. They were very good and very friendly to him. The food was good and had a nice variety with a choice of three juices, hot chocolate, or coffee while waiting for the meals. He was in a shared room that they did a good job keeping it and the room him clean."

"There are a lot of activities available to the elders, and the activity leaders are often optimistic, which adds a good vibe to the environment. Patients who are initially unwilling to join the activities are eager and enthusiastic by the end. Food selection is also quite good, and the chefs are very attentive to the dietary needs of each patient. Many services are provided, such as physical therapy, exercise circle, and occupational therapy. The staff are accommodating to the patient's and their visitors' needs: we would be given access to the kitchen and supplies (such as straws and liquid thickener) to make things easier. We were really relieved to put our family member in the care of this facility, and it also made caring for him easier. Socializing with the residents is encouraged, and because of this, we made a few friends among the other patients. The only reason why this facility receives a 4 instead of a 5 is because a few individual staff are sometimes unfriendly. "

"The Kenney is where I wanted my mother to go to. I like the facility. It has a really good reputation. It's been around this town for years and it has been maintained for a long time. My mother thought the price was too much. That's why she didn't go there. What's neat is you can start out there independent and they take you til you're fully dependent. It goes all across that span and it's got a very high reputation for its care. The rooms are very nice. It depends on how much you want to pay but the small rooms are small. The food is very good. The dining room looked really convenient like any one could come and go in there and it's very spacious. After we found out how much it was, that was kind of the end of it for her. "

"My mom is at Swedish Acute Rehabilitation Unit - Cherry Hill. She is in their intensive rehab. She had her stroke a week ago yesterday. She had just been in the hospital for a week, and they moved her to rehab on Wednesday. The room that she has is very pleasant, and she's on her own. They seem to be quite attentive. She's getting three hours of rehab a day, so I like that. I would give them a 5 just because the people there are concentrating on trying to repair them, so that's what I like. The three-hour-a-day seems helpful in her recovery process. The staff is very professional. They're very warm and friendly with her. They keep everything in shape and keep her going. Her speech was affected greatly, so she is in that frustrating stage when you're trying to get words out and not finding them, and so that's hard, but they work with her to understand what she wants. My mom does not like the food. She's a very picky eater. I sat with a nutritionist yesterday and we talked about things that would make her not feel good about eating because she is picky and grazes rather than sit down eat a whole meal. So, he helped me figure out how to request the food. They don't do social things. The activity is physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. That's what they're concentrating on. It does seem stimulating to her."

"The physical appearance of Wesley Lea Hill in Auburn is very good. The grounds are 19 acres, this is one of the largest I've seen or heard about, and it's very impressive. Their plan was a very good layout, and they have all the comforts and amenities you want. The staffs who gave the tour are very courteous and tried to answer our questions. They're very nice. They do activities and they discussed that. They have a large variety of activities and hobbies, Bible studies, the opportunity to pursue whatever hobby you like. They also have shopping trips and so on. I like the rooms very well, they're spacious and very well appointed, they're in very good shape."
