"My father-in-law is in Redmond Care and Rehabilitation Center. It's been incredible, it's well-staffed, they're very responsive, informative, and I can't say enough good things about them. The staff has been very attentive, they're very kind, and we couldn't be happier. When he was doing the rehab it was great, he was getting physical therapy, and occupational therapy, but he decided to stop eating and drinking. They have assisted living, and if it's anything like the rest of the facility, I would highly recommend it. It's secure, extremely clean, and beautiful."

"The tour experience at Emerald Heights is great. The facility was amazing. It was a gated community. It was high-class. They had a pool, a workout facility, and a great crafts room. Their apartments were amazing. They took us through all of their apartments and then their care units. So you buy in, and then you pay a monthly fee. The monthly fee stayed the same as long as you were there. And if, for some reason, you couldn't pay anymore, they had something where they would continue paying for your care because they had money in reserve for stuff like that happening in case people outlived their funds. It was an amazing facility with amazing grounds. The staff members were amazing and nice. The people we met were very nice, talkative, and friendly. We looked at the menu, and it was great."

"My husband was in Park Shore for rehab for one month. It's a full care facility, from independent living to nursing community and rehabilitation. It was really good, and I'd like my husband to be there, but they didn't have any rooms. They had to take their clients first before they can take anyone from the outside, but they loved him and he loved them, too. Even though they managed to vaccinate everyone twice, they wouldn't let me in the front door. My husband came out of there fully vaccinated. He also had occupational and physical therapy. They helped him to a point where he could not even stand on his own to be able to walk in a cane."

"This facility appears to provide good care. Special services are available for those who need them, including physical therapy. The physical therapy provided was evidently of good quality. The facility also offers a variety of other special services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentistry, podiatry, and nursing care, each of which is available only for those who need those particular services. No evidence of injury to any resident was demonstrated. Staff members were pleasant and acted friendly. House rules required some restriction of residents' freedoms, such as an inability to go out alone. Not all residents were pleased by the rules.Rooms are shared between two people; when occupancy of the facility is relatively high, residents have roommates whom they do not know. This is not popular with everyone. Curtains can be drawn between beds to provide some privacy. In-room television screens allow residents to entertain themselves alone with a variety of interesting programs if they choose to do so. Magazines are available for those who like reading and are able to see well enough to do it.A variety of nutritious food was available. Favorable comments on the food were heard. The St. Anne center is recommended. "

"I was in Hearthstone for 4 weeks of rehab following a hospital stay for surgery. I was in a double room but never had a roommate. It was quiet and comforting once I adjusted to the daily routine. Meals were brought to my room by very friendly Caretakers. They also aided me in showering and bathing in the most gentle and caring manner. I was receiving antibiotics by IV administered three times daily. The nurses were very competent and were genuinely interested in my progress. The PT and OT therapy provided was professional and comprehensive. I have to thank the entire staff at Hearthstone's rehab unit for an excellent stay and launching me toward a full recovery."

"My Mom stayed her for 3 months due to a broken femur. She started in a double room then moved to a private room. The staff there are very caring and attentive. Her bed was comfortable and they kept is low as she was a fall risk. The activities director is wonderful and got my mom to attend some activities during her stay. They have bingo, trips, movies, etc. The food is ok, breakfast is one of the best meals. You can select your menu every week. They have other options to take if you do not like what is offered. She had stayed at another facility in the area prior. This one was much better for my mom's condition (dementia) and they had better ways of getting her to try PT and OT. "

"This facility has continually shown to be a caring and compassionate place for my loved ones. I really appreciate the staff's commitment to giving the residences a meaningful time there, and caring for them, no matter their condition. The facility is not the fanciest, or the newest for that matter, but I always love to see my grandmother smile there. She was frightened for her entire adult life of nursing facilities, and this place is the only one that I have found to give here the care and love she deserves to have. The managers have befriended our family, and we really love that she has been so well cared for there. The only complaints I have are of one staff member, who is somewhat unfriendly to our family, but she has been reprimanded, and we are glad to be able to have such a great place as part of the community. "My mom is at Swedish Acute Rehabilitation Unit - Cherry Hill. She is in their intensive rehab. She had her stroke a week ago yesterday. She had just been in the hospital for a week, and they moved her to rehab on Wednesday. The room that she has is very pleasant, and she's on her own. They seem to be quite attentive. She's getting three hours of rehab a day, so I like that. I would give them a 5 just because the people there are concentrating on trying to repair them, so that's what I like. The three-hour-a-day seems helpful in her recovery process. The staff is very professional. They're very warm and friendly with her. They keep everything in shape and keep her going. Her speech was affected greatly, so she is in that frustrating stage when you're trying to get words out and not finding them, and so that's hard, but they work with her to understand what she wants. My mom does not like the food. She's a very picky eater. I sat with a nutritionist yesterday and we talked about things that would make her not feel good about eating because she is picky and grazes rather than sit down eat a whole meal. So, he helped me figure out how to request the food. They don't do social things. The activity is physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. That's what they're concentrating on. It does seem stimulating to her."

"We toured Timber Ridge at Talus. They were very helpful. They had a lovely library. The unit was much smaller than the other two places that I've looked at. The food was very good, and it was restaurant-type dining. You could eat in the main dining room or different places. So, that was nice. They had a beauty shop and they had a pool, and that was very important to me because I like water aerobics. They were very supportive of the residents' interest. They had a general meeting room. This facility was located in a very nice residential area. The front desk staff was efficient, knew their job well, and was very hospitable. The building was very nice, but there was no adequate parking."

"Well I had a broken leg from riding a bike to work and I had a schedule with Swedish for a surgery. When I went in there, all the medical staffs were so nice. They provided great hospitality. They also promised that the surgery was no problem. It was, by the time I was done with my surgery. I decided to make this hospital my main "savior." They gave me an ending paper sayingChoosing a home health or hospice care program through Swedish Visiting Nurse Services means that expert medical care continues in your home. "There are a lot of activities available to the elders, and the activity leaders are often optimistic, which adds a good vibe to the environment. Patients who are initially unwilling to join the activities are eager and enthusiastic by the end. Food selection is also quite good, and the chefs are very attentive to the dietary needs of each patient. Many services are provided, such as physical therapy, exercise circle, and occupational therapy. The staff are accommodating to the patient's and their visitors' needs: we would be given access to the kitchen and supplies (such as straws and liquid thickener) to make things easier. We were really relieved to put our family member in the care of this facility, and it also made caring for him easier. Socializing with the residents is encouraged, and because of this, we made a few friends among the other patients. The only reason why this facility receives a 4 instead of a 5 is because a few individual staff are sometimes unfriendly. "

"My father was in Skyline Health Services for six weeks. One of the real drawbacks was you pay an initial payment of $1 million to get in. There were two buildings there: one that has senior living, and another with various stages of care, including total care, which is what he needed. He needed nursing care, physical therapy, help being fed, and all that; so he was in that facility. They were really wonderful for my father, but very very expensive. Medicare covered him for six weeks and once that was done, I moved him back to his previous facility to be closer to my mother, but he passed away within three days of that. It's a lovely building with lovely people, and it has very high-quality care, but it's very, very expensive. Where he was, they had full support for my father's needs. They have superb support. They have a van that will take you to places you need to go. It's a very lovely facility and very welcoming. The nurses who were in my father's care were wonderful; they were very patient and well trained. They were very experienced in using all the equipment, helping him getting in and out of bed, and taking care of him totally. On the outside, it's very pretty, and he had a nice room. They also had gardens for people, patios, and balconies, and it's a very lovely building. It's also in a wonderful location."

"With its beautiful views of the city this place is so upscale that you would expect to see a star walk out the front door. The staff is exceptional and full of life. They offer the residents more to do than there are hour's in the day. The outings that the residents go on are great and they offer the residents the opportunity to live independabtly and on their own. They are so warm and loving. "

"I found the facility to be alright. Funishings and decor were sparse and dated, they felt a little old and dingy. It was often difficult to find people who were working and many were not friendly or helpful. I think that the rooms needed to be freshened up, the paint and fixures needed updating. the workers didn't seem to be that friendly with my relative who was staying there. they were a little rough when dealing with her. maybe they are overworked and underpaid? the atmosphere seemed sad i believe that more could be done to improve the quality of life for the residents. "We had our mother in for rehab. The facilities are clean the staff is nice to the community and they try to make it a cheerful enviroment. We had a very good communications with the people who did all of our paperwork and help move mom to home, they were caring and considerate. But we had some problems with communication with the nursing staff and the caregivers, as an example, she had an injured leg and the evening staff while trying to move her grabbed her leg to help roll her. They said they didn't know it was injured, (this was the reason she was in rehab) She needed to go to the hospital at one point and the evening staff called the doctor to get the okay on Friday which he did, and on Tuesday she was still had not gone, we were not alerted that the staff had called the doctor or that the doctor had agreed that she could go to the hospital and it was only when we pressed and told them that we wanted her to go, that they was realized it had been approved days before. I felt like we were constantly checking and talking to staff and management and I am sure we were considered by them to be high maintenance because of this, but no matter where you put yourself or your parents you cannot leave them alone and expect everything to go smoothly They did try to communicate with us and make adjustments, but usually after something had occurred to start the conversation. Lastly, if your parents like to have a good meal you will have to bring them food. They have possibly the worst food at any facility that I have visited. When we asked what the meal was the staff just smiled and said they didn't know! It was undercernable as to chicken or fish. We found out that the people who live there take pictures of the food to show the low quality. At first we put it down to "hospital food" but we were wrong, it is grades below hospital food. They did say they were trying to improve it but apparently the low quality has been going on for years. I will still give them 3 stars for the facilities, cleanliness, cheerful environment, good rehab, nice people and they try. They were not mean in any way and they were helpful when asked. They have a church service on premises with an nice pastor. Overall if my mother didn't need exacting care this would be a good place. "
