This facility appears to provide good care. Special services are available for those who need them, including physical therapy. The physical therapy provided was evidently of good quality. The facility also offers a variety of other special services, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentistry, podiatry, and nursing care, each of which is available only for those who need those particular services. No evidence of injury to any resident was demonstrated. Staff members were pleasant and acted friendly. House rules required some restriction of residents' freedoms, such as an inability to go out alone. Not all residents were pleased by the rules.Rooms are shared between two people; when occupancy of the facility is relatively high, residents have roommates whom they do not know. This is not popular with everyone. Curtains can be drawn between beds to provide some privacy. In-room television screens allow residents to entertain themselves alone with a variety of interesting programs if they choose to do so. Magazines are available for those who like reading and are able to see well enough to do it.A variety of nutritious food was available. Favorable comments on the food were heard. The St. Anne center is recommended.

While my husband was there under there care he was not groomed and don't know if he had personal hygiene everyday. He was there for PT and the residence Dr over dozed my husband so much he could not perform hardly any therapy! When visiting him one day and there for almost 8hrs they did not come in to change him and after reporting it was told because I was visiting they did not want to disturb us and they said would correct that issue with staff. They also disregarded that he was a fall risk and never put down fall pads next to his bed nor did they take extra precautions and he fell 5 times under there care. Also when my husband was admitted there from the hospital he had no skin issues and when he left there he came back with scabs and wounds on both his legs which were treated at the hospital when he had to go back. I reported them to DSHS and they received 2 citations for over dozing and not looking out for my husband with other options. I was truly disappointed and appalled with how my husband was taken care of at there facility and I would never recommend them to anyone for the care of a loved one!

Staff is kind, present. The room was stark with a small TV, and hospital like bathroom, and dim lighting. Support staff are good, yet, the physical therapy necessary for my mother was extremely lacking. She did not receive more than 30-60 minutes a day 4x's a week. The food is horrendous and something not even a dog would eat. We brought food in for to consume. There was no urgency from the owner's of the St. Anne's to move my mother out of the facility and back with my father. In short, they ran the clock until the day Medicare stopped paying - 3 months to the day, and then discharged her. I am unsure how medicare does not shut this place down.

St. Anne is easy to find, but located in the northeast part of Seattle, so coming from the city can be a bit challenging. There's not a lot of parking for visitors onsite. There are lots of windows in the facility"”and a wonderful courtyard area with tables with umbrellas on them outside, open to all who are permitted to use it on their own. Residents gather there frequently for fresh air and conversation. There are two people placed in each room, which allows for more privacy than most similar facilities. Still, the spaces are somewhat small"”with shared restrooms and also a main shower room shared by a number of people on the floor, which may not allow easy use for those who want to shower daily. Also, residents who need long-term care are mixed in with those who are more independent. For the independent residents, the set-up can get loud and messy. Two options are provided for every meal; special needs and diets are accommodated, but quality of the food is just average overall. There are some activities provided, including daily newspaper readings and regular church services, but not a lot of scheduled outings out of the facility. A definite plus: The staff is very knowledgeable and quick to respond to residents' needs. Those who staff the therapy department is especially knowledgeable and the people there seem to work well as a team.
