"My dad is 99 and has lived at Farrington Court for 4 years. He lives in a spacious one bedroom apartment, with views of the garden area. The staff are all friendly and helpful and they know all of the residents by name. Everyone is very accommodating and encouraging. My dad always says that he is very lucky to be living at Farrington Court, as he is well taken care of and very comfortable. This is due in large part to the director. It is obvious that she has high standard for the care given to the residents and her staff meet those standards. Everyone tries to make it enjoyable to live there and it is clear to see that excellent care is a priority. We are so grateful that the director kept all the residents and staff safe and well during the pandemic."

"We toured Cogir of Kent. It's very clean and very organized. The artwork was on the walls and the facility was very nice. We had no issues whatsoever with the facility itself. All of the staff was very friendly. We spoke with several residents and the staff. They were knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We had lunch there and the food was good. It was cafeteria style. The only downside was they do have staff turnover as far as the kitchen staff. The facility is relatively new. It's only two years old, so it's in very good condition."

"My mother was in rehab care at Covenant Shores in Mercer Island. It was a very nice, very well-kept, and very friendly community. The rooms were not large, but were pleasant, and they had a garden where the patients can go to. The rooms were situated around a large living area, which had a big screen TV that patients can watch as well as the one in their rooms. They played cards in each other's rooms once in a while. It's got a nice view of Lake Washington, the staff was very friendly, and they have nice facilities. I didn't go in any of their assisted living apartments -- just the rehab care center -- but from the outside, it was very nice. You can take the patients in their wheelchair down to the dock where the lake is. "

"I thought the food at El Dorado West was very good. I had a pork chop, and it was very tender. I think the care is fine. The staff was friendly and helpful, answered questions, and were very easy to work with. It’s very clean and organized. "

"I visited Patriots Glen, and the staff was very nice. The person who showed me around was wonderful. I really liked the front office gal and the community relations person. She was very helpful and kind. The rooms were fine. The parking area, which was right in front, was very convenient, with lots of spaces. They had activities, but I don't remember what they were. I don't believe that they would take my dad to church. Also, it seemed much more like a nursing home, and I didn't feel like it would fit my dad. "

"My wife and I are moving into Fountain Court Senior Living. The people are just awesome and they're very friendly. The price was really good, too and it was pretty much lower than any of the other ones. It's a small community and it's what we wanted. It's in Maple Valley, one of the nicest, one of the best, and one of the safest places in Washington. My mom loved the flowers there. They got a lot of activities and I like the location. I was with my brother and my mom when I visited. They offer all three meals. They worked with me on my dogs, and worked with us on the first month's rent, and let us have time in August. I got a retired guide dog that they didn't charge me for. So, they did a lot of things for me. I met Sarah and I met the nurse. The nurse and Sarah came out to our house. I think they got a special going on where they move you for nothing. She's come to our house a couple of times so they're very, very willing to work with you and try to do their best to do what they can. I appreciated that. The facility itself has a library. It has a salon. There's a green belt and there are trees. Little squirrels come down and some of the residents, I guess, throw peanuts out and stuff on the trees. They have all kinds of things going on and sometimes they'll have live bands out there. The main thing is just the hospitality, and just how clean the place is. Being blind and not being able to go back and forth, Sarah came over to my house. It's been a good experience, and when we are in, we're hoping to still keep on with the good work experience."

"Sunrise of Issaquah is brand new and very bright on the inside and modern looking. They have a big dining area, a salon, and a media room. It was nice. It was just strange because any time I've been there, I've never seen anyone in the common area. There's one side of the building that faces the road, while the other side faces the woods. So, you have a pastoral wood view where there are no buildings or anything at all. The staff I talked to seemed knowledgeable. They have a lot of things to show people. There's a beautiful and real pretty deck that you can sit on and they have a room where they have crafts and things like that. It seems like they try to keep people busy. So, if somebody is looking for something modern and a brand new place, you may want to send them there to take a look."

"I toured their independent living section of The Watermark at Bellevue, and it's very nice and very high-end. As a matter of fact, up on the top floor, they have a penthouse there for $12,000 a month. The lower floors are cheaper. For people who like city life, it's like living in a big city where you have to pay for parking, and that's not my cup of tea. I want something more rural where I can drive in, drive out, and not have to pay for parking. I'm just more of a suburban type. It was very nice, though. I've been there twice, and their food was excellent. The facilities were very nice because they're new, so everything was perfect."

"Brannan Park (Village Concepts of Auburn - Brannan Park) is very clean with really nice staff members. It's very warm, cozy, and comfortable. The clients there seemed to be happy and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and well-landscaped. The location is easy to find, very peaceful, and not on a busy street. The apartments are very clean, accessible, and really nice. They have vans. The pricing is expensive."

"Probably the best point about our tour at Spiritwood at Pine Lake was Kristen, the woman that we met with. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable about everything. She's the only one of the facility people that ever followed up with us. So, that made a difference. Plus, it was a medium-sized facility, very modern, very updated, and kind of almost elegant looking. It's very close to my house and it seemed to have everything that we were looking for. It's a beautiful place. We were looking at one of the larger studios and the one-bedroom and it would have been adequate for mom. They also had a library, a couple of different places that people could gather (like a game room kind of situation to play games or watch movies), live music at least once a week (sometimes twice), entertainment that comes in, field trips where they take them out to places, a beauty salon, crafting activities center, and a beautiful little courtyard outside with lots of trees and wildlife. It was lovely."
