We've chosen Bonaventure of Maple Valley because they had immediate availability of a two-bedroom unit in assisted living, and other places had a waiting list. Another reason is the explanation of services provided. They use a level plan instead of a menu plan where you have to choose. They explained the services that you'd be getting for a certain price. The staff was very nice. I've chosen the two-bedroom, two-bath with real good views. There are so many amenities. I liked that they have a simulated golf thing where you hit into a golf bat and it tells you how far you hit it and all that, then the transportation that they had and the ease of being able to get into that transportation. It's pretty new, so everything looked nice. We live in a 55 and over community, and several residents that used to live here have moved to Bonaventure, so that's kind of a good thing.

I toured Bonaventure of Maple Valley. It's brand new. The apartments were beautiful. The kitchen was gorgeous. It's just a very nice facility. I've had food there. It's satisfactory, but not the best, I think, and was not a good place for my dog as having our own yard, front and back at the other facility. The staff was wonderful. The room size was very nice. I felt very welcome. It's a beautiful place. The staff was nice, friendly, accommodating, and answered questions.

Bonnaventure has many facilities in the country although the Maple Valley is the newest its a beautiful building that offers Independent, Assisted Living and Memory care living. They offer many amenities for active senior citizens. The rooms are of decent sizes and have stainless finishes on appliances and even have dishwashers in some. BEWARE if you want to transfer your loved ones to a Bonnaventure facility closer to you for care. As it appears they aren’t consistent about care throughout the company The Maple Valley location seems to want only a certain type of clientele and will deny a transfer for your loved ones from other Bonnaventure facilities. When you want to speak with the Regional Medical Director that makes the decisions, as to why your loved one can’t be at the Maple Valley Bonnaventure but can be at another Bonnaventure facility, with the exact same medical issues, they will just completely blow you off and ignore your emails and calls The staff that we’ve met were very friendly. The facility is quite large with multiple turns and corners which for some aging seniors can become confusing especially with all the floors having the same paint color. They have a state of the art Golf simulator which if you like golfing is pretty neat Whoever designed the “movie theater “ didn’t take into consideration those that are in wheelchairs don’t always like to sit in the front row but would like to be further back…… they have a tiered theater with no ramps to get further back Only offer a couple of wheelchair accessible rooms that allow following up to the kitchen and bathroom sinks. The two I viewed had roll in showers with chairs built in and dual shower heads on opposite walls for easier control
