"I went to Brannan Park Retirement. The facility was very nice, the staff that I met were very nice, and their activity calendar was well filled with all kinds of stuff. The rooms as far as the studios were kind of small, but they were priced low too, and I'd be able to afford that one, but they didn't have a studio that I can actually get into. The staff was helpful and welcoming, the residents were quiet, but I don't know if I ever got a word back from the residents that I talked to."

"I'm at the Auburn Meadows now. The staff is very helpful. They are very kind and accommodating. The rooms and apartments are very nice and very large. The food is good, and it is varied. The dining room is big, nice, and very quiet. They have trips and exercise programs. They have painting programs too. I'm satisfied with the safety and security of the place. It is very nice. "

"Aegis Living is very clean, the food is good, and so is the staff. Their cottage concept is geared towards my mother's needs in terms of dementia. Mother has stayed there for rested care before and she liked it, so that kind of influenced our decision. I liked their very pleasant grounds and the windows in their units look out into wide areas and bird feeders; not a parking lot, a freeway, or building. They have a fitness, mind, and craft activities as well as Bible discussion groups, which I suppose my mother will enjoy. They take outings or a ride to the community to visit different things. What I liked best about this community was that they seem to have excellent rapport with all of their residents and you could see on their faces that they really liked the people who were taking care of them. However, the last time she was there, I got upset because they called me at 3 o' clock in the morning, and they told me that her prescriptions weren't right. I was in Europe at that time and there was really nothing I could do. I just thought there were some inconsistencies between their weekend and weekday people. "

"I'm at Regency Newcastle, and I'm very happy with it. If you have a need for anything, they have people here that will help you (with showers, laundry, etc.). The food is just more than I want."

"We toured White River Memory Care, and their manager greeted us. She was very nice, explained their process and billing package, went through my dad's health condition, and put him in the categories they needed to determine the level of care. We walked through the facility. It was nice and well-lit. All the employees appeared to know each of the clients at a personal level. They were eating at the time, and the food looked fine. They have a fenced outdoor area and a garden to walk around. They have a very nice activities group. Also, the staff and clientele have been there for a while. They get along well, and they know each other well. It was a very tight-knit community group of caring people."

"I've toured and it's a nice place; it's a small community with 54 units. The staff member, Rachel, answered all the questions that I had. I saw a studio apartment, it looked nice. It's got a good layout, there's more privacy because it's got a low wall if you want to put a bed, and you have a couple of choices. Every unit we looked at had a little kitchen and nice handicapped bathrooms. They have a game room, they have a little courtyard, they take people to the store, and that kind of stuff. They have a lot of things scheduled for the residents all the time. The place is very clean."

"I really liked the community. It was clean, and everybody was cheery. The staff was very nice. They showed us around, and the rooms were very nice. I would recommend this to other seniors who are looking for an assisted living. "

"We moved my mother to this facility after the passing of my father so that she could have time to relax and grieve without having to worry about day to day tasks. The facility is very well kept up and everyone was very friendly.I visited once or twice a week and I brought my 4 year old son with me most of the time, the staff had no issue with this and in fact entertained him sometimes. It only took a few visits before they had my name memorized and made me feel at home. Overall I was very happy with this facility and should a situation arise that you must make use of a assisted living facility then Emeritus is a fantastic choice! "

"I visited Spiritwood at Pine Lake. I liked the fact that the community seemed to really live and experience the whole facility, like someone was playing the piano. People seemed very involved and happy to be there. The person that gave me the tour was very helpful, and I think it could have also been a good fit for my mom. The dining area was very nice. It was not at that time really being used, but it was spacious, and I think it was near an area where you could walk out to a patio; that was really lovely. I had a lot of trees and there was a very pretty garden area outside the dining room. And as far as the rooms, I don't have anything that really stuck out at this time, but it was definitely comparable to the other locations that I looked at. That day, they were actually out on a road trip. There was an activity, and I know that they talked about taking the residents out to see the lights in December, or the the holiday lights. There's definitely a lot of opportunities for the members to get out and do things. I remember that that day they were actually out and about. They were coming back, and one of the employees was giving a presentation about their dog. They brought their dog, which I thought was really cute. It was lovely."

"The staff at Brookdale Foundation House was very helpful, and the cost was a little less expensive, but still getting all the care. We had a meal there, and the food was good. "
