"We went to Village Concepts of Fairwood. It was very nice. Beautiful grounds. Beautiful building. They have lots of staff and friendly people. The apartments were very nice and very beautiful. The staff who helped me with the tour was great. She was very nice and very helpful. She answered questions and pointed everything out for us. The dining area was very nice. They had lots of options, and they had a couple of different places to eat. They had lots of activities, a game room, an art room, a beauty salon that was nice and a library."

"My husband moved to GenCare Federal Way. It had a nice feeling, and the staff was very nice. The layouts are very nice. Everyone looked happy. It was just a nice place. It's very well maintained. There's a dining area and another meeting area where there's a TV. They have exercises, different games, and different things that they do. My husband's a Filipino, so there's a lot of Filipino staff, and that was kind of fun. This facility is comfortable, homey, and pleasant, so that's why we picked it. They have an eating place there, but when I'm visiting, I can take him to the other eating area where the other residents can eat. The one thing that might improve is that there are so many women and not many men. It's a much better value we're getting."

"I toured Brookdale Foundation House. I liked the fact that they included meals and transportation in the service. My concern is there isn't enough space. I'm trying to downsize from a house to a one- or two-bedroom apartment, and it's not enough space for me. The rooms seem to be very nice. They were roomy and didn't have a whole lot of stuff. They're great. They have little kitchenettes off of the rooms. I didn't see a lot of the staff. I can see them at a distance. They seemed to be interacting well with the clients, seeing what they wanted to eat in the dining room, and things like that. So they seem to be very helpful. The dining room was a pleasant room for people to interact and socialize. The community is near shopping areas. It looks like it's pretty well laid out. What I didn't like was that the available rooms were so far from the dining area. I'd probably end up using my electric wheelchair to get from point A to point B depending on where I got a room in there. But as far as the layout, it's convenient, and it's close to shopping and other amenities. I also looked at the menu and the choices looked like they were good choices with variety."

"The rooms are great, they are great size perfect for my loved one. I toured today and I will probably be picking this community for my loved one. I love the feel of the building, all staff were friendly and happy. That means a lot to me."

"We toured White River Memory Care, and their manager greeted us. She was very nice, explained their process and billing package, went through my dad's health condition, and put him in the categories they needed to determine the level of care. We walked through the facility. It was nice and well-lit. All the employees appeared to know each of the clients at a personal level. They were eating at the time, and the food looked fine. They have a fenced outdoor area and a garden to walk around. They have a very nice activities group. Also, the staff and clientele have been there for a while. They get along well, and they know each other well. It was a very tight-knit community group of caring people."

"My mother-in-law is at the Aegis Living of Issaquah and we can't say enough good things about it. They specialize in dementia and the only way they will move a resident to memory care is when they are a harm to themselves or others. Everybody there has dementia. It is very tranquil with beautiful grounds; they have separate grounds. It is not a large building, and so there's not a lot of stories and elevators that the seniors have to navigate. They call them cottages, and in each cottage they have eight apartments. Well, they are not really apartments, they are a very tiny one-bedroom, which is just OK since they need more care. They have no kitchen or anything, but for the most part they are very good with her meds. She needs full care, so they dress her and all that stuff. They are very gentle and respectful, and she is super happy. My husband used to be there before COVID. They treat COVID very seriously and they protect the residents. They shut down everything. The residents are in their rooms right now."

"Sunrise of Issaquah is brand new and very bright on the inside and modern looking. They have a big dining area, a salon, and a media room. It was nice. It was just strange because any time I've been there, I've never seen anyone in the common area. There's one side of the building that faces the road, while the other side faces the woods. So, you have a pastoral wood view where there are no buildings or anything at all. The staff I talked to seemed knowledgeable. They have a lot of things to show people. There's a beautiful and real pretty deck that you can sit on and they have a room where they have crafts and things like that. It seems like they try to keep people busy. So, if somebody is looking for something modern and a brand new place, you may want to send them there to take a look."

"I really liked El Dorado West. It's a very lovely facility. It was very warm and welcoming. They have a large dining room where people sit and be by themselves, or they can sit with somebody else. There were a ton of activities. I liked the fact that they come in and change the linens on a weekly basis, and my sister doesn't have to purchase food or prepare food. The staff members weren't communicating very well with each other because I gave them the deposit and I called them to get the deposit back and I asked them if I could get the medical records that the doctor's office had sent them and the staff said, "Yes, I'll make sure you get those." When I went to pick them up, they had been shredded, so they were not having good communication. I was not very happy. We had lunch there, and it was very good. They had a lot of different facilities. They had a game room and a large theater type thing with a very comfortable theater chair, so they can watch movies or watch ball games. They also have a hairdresser onsite for those who want to have that."

"My dad moved into Columbia Landing of Issaquah. We chose it for the office girls, Sarah and Beth, and the facility was the right fit for my dad. They have all kinds of things going on there. They have music and singalongs, and they have the theater, and exercise daily. They have the garden, walks, and exercise up there and it's just great. I like the people there. I've seen what they're eating, and I've smelled it, it looks delicious. I would have no problem with their food."

"My dad is taken care at Fieldstone at a very high level. Staff is helpful and quick to respond to questions or concerns. The activities are engaging and the rooms are kept clean and organized. My dad is made to feel important and cared for by all."
