"Cogir of Bothell Memory Care seemed quite nice, very clean, and modern. It seemed like a very nice facility. They did not take my mother-in-law's long-term care insurance though, so they were out for us. The staff I met was great. They had a nice courtyard for the clients to go out and enjoy the sunshine and stuff. So it was quite nice."

They accommodate well if you visit from out of town as I come over every 3 weeks everyone is happy nice and cheerful plenty of activities and they care! "Mom just moved to Empress Senior Living at Laurelhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a facility that was just built a few years ago, and their staff is wonderful. I spent many, many days there with my mom. They are very professional and good. The food was very good, too. In memory care, there are a lot of people who are not very high-functioning, so they don't do a whole lot of activities, but the value for the money is pretty good. It costs $6,600 a month to be in that facility, and then there are additional costs on top of that, but I think for what I looked at all over, their cost was about the same as others. I was so lucky to find that place. They had space available, and they were able to get me in. It wasn't out of reach cost for me."

"I toured the whole facility of Overlake Terrace, it was fantastic. When I walked in, it was just clean and smelled clean and crisp. You walk into a bistro where there was an older aging company sitting and having tea and visiting. There were activities for the residents. This place was nice. They had a theater, an exercise room, they had an outside yard for memory care that had trails and a gazebo for visiting, and flowers. The staff was excellent. We mostly dealt with Seri and Julie, the nurse, and they were fantastic ladies. The dining area smelled delicious and their menu was great. They had a place where you eat that was nice and clean, with the table set up. And they also had a private room set up with a long table for families to reserve, come in, and have dinners with their loved ones. They had excellent facilities."

"I visited Cogir of Northgate Memory Care in Seattle. I would say it's for people who are much farther along and people who require constant care and monitoring. It's a very secure facility, and the people are not able to get out unescorted. They have mental issues where they should not go out unescorted, so I appreciate that. I don't think my parents are anywhere close to requiring that kind of care yet, though. I think the people that I saw there were being well cared for, and the facility seems to be in really good repair, and looks like all the maintenance has been kept up. They have cameras that are monitored through an AI system, so if somebody falls in their room or has an issue in the room, the system can alert the staff. That monitoring also goes 24/7, and then the recordings of incidents are made available to staff and to family, so everybody can see exactly what happened. I think the staff members really care about what they're doing. They seem to be very educated on dealing with people with memory and dementia issues, with all the various latest memory care advances, and how to stimulate the people and slow the decline. The facility seemed to be designed specifically for people with memory issues, so it doesn't have a whole lot of hallways and places for people to get lost in. The various hallways where people's rooms were color-coded have photos outside of the people's doors to help them find their rooms."

"The Sunrise of Redmond assisted living was in the process of being completely remodeled when we visited it. That part would not open until August so there were many areas that we were not able to see. One thing that stood out to my dad is that he's wheelchair-bound and the hallways were kind of narrow and there were typical doorways. It's hard to navigate with the wheelchair around and in and out of the doorways and hallways. They have residents but we couldn't see that part. We saw several rooms and they were beautiful."

"Our room here in The Gardens at Town Square is very nice, bright, and cheerful. The people are friendly. It is well taken care of. The staff is helpful. There are outings and concerts. We haven't taken part in many, but there are lectures, and there's a resident council so people can get feedback. The dining room is very cheerful and bright, and the food is excellent."

"I toured their independent living section of The Watermark at Bellevue, and it's very nice and very high-end. As a matter of fact, up on the top floor, they have a penthouse there for $12,000 a month. The lower floors are cheaper. For people who like city life, it's like living in a big city where you have to pay for parking, and that's not my cup of tea. I want something more rural where I can drive in, drive out, and not have to pay for parking. I'm just more of a suburban type. It was very nice, though. I've been there twice, and their food was excellent. The facilities were very nice because they're new, so everything was perfect."

"My mom ultimately picked Sunrise over others. She likes this place. Everything is great there. I think the staff is awesome. They really care about the people there. They're working very hard to get my mom back involved in doing things. I like them. They also have tons of activities for their residents. Their rooms are fine and very comfortable. The food is great. I would recommend people to go there and check them out. "

"I went to Laurel Cove Community. The people were very friendly and they seemed to be very busy. The staff was very nice. The young woman was sitting at the desk immediately came up and said, "Hi, can I help you?" Everywhere we went it was nice and you felt very comfortable. I liked the room there. On the outside, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in, it's a completely different feeling. The menus look good. They showed us the menus, and we were there each time at almost lunchtime. Their residents seemed to go to lunch between 11:00 and 1:00. The food smelled fantastic, but we didn't eat any of it."

"I like North Creek for its location and because the people are very nice, the food is good, and the apartments are very nice. The staff were all very nice. They answered questions, and they did what they could to help. I've only tried one meal there, and it was very good. The rooms are nice and neat. The place is clean. Things aren't scattered all over the place."

"We enjoy the independence and flexibility of living in one of the cottages. Having a single car garage for my workbench and tools and bikes made the transition from our house of 30 years to a retirement community much easier. We have enjoyed getting to know many of the other residents and making new friends."
