Spring Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care

I toured Spring Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was a very clean facility and it was nice. It was very well managed. The residents seem to be very well cared for. The staff was very attentive. They had a library. They had a recreational room and an exercise room. It was a split place where one side is assisted living and one side is memory care. I spoke with a very personable receptionist and the person who gave us the tour, I spoke with them and asked them about some of the things, like if they had physical therapy there and if they had pools, but they didn't. That's not common, I guess I thought it would be. I didn't sample a meal but noticed that the meals were changed a lot. It's not a lot of repetitive food. I did get to talk to one of the ladies in the kitchen and she said they try to mix up the menu quite frequently just to give people a different type of food to eat.

I am living at Spring Ridge. It's an extremely nice place, with very helpful attendants. Every day, there's about three different things we can do, from outings to Bingo games. The food is very well prepared with a lot of variety.

My parents have been at Spring Ridge. We chose this place because one of things that we were looking at was the possibility of moving them to Medicaid when their resources have depleted and it is also clean and new. The facilities are very nice. The staff's work ethics are very straightforward.

Spring Ridge has a very nice environment, very clean, very organized, and the caregivers are very attentive. The food is good, and there is a variety of food. They have mind games, puzzles, drawing, and stuff like that -- a very good variety. The rooms are all very nice. It is a new building for the memory care and they have remodeled it; it's very clean and very nice. But I guess they should have more caregivers.

Spring Ridge is close to where we live. It was nice, clean and it smelled good. The people were very nice. They showed me the rooms and answered all of my questions. They have a beauty parlor and an activity room. We went into one of the resident's rooms to see how she had it set up. She was very accomodating and said she liked it there. It seemed to me that the residents there are satisfied and content.
