"Although the building is older the apartments are well maintained. Staff members are very caring and try very hard to be supportive of residents. My only complaint in the 6+ years I have lived here is the food, which is very unsatisfactory. Highlights of TLRC start with the pastoral of nature of the campus, lots of trees, open spaces and even a tiny wilderness area. We also have a well equipped arts center with everything from a woodworking with all kinds of power tools to a ceramics workshop with a kiln. Our fitness center has a pool and a well equipped workout room. There are also a variety of classes, for a range of different abilities."

"We have put money down at Harbor Place at Cottesmore to hold a space and move when we are ready. We like that it's very clean, bright, and cheery. The staff is very responsive to the residents there. It’s just a happy place. "

"Franke Tobey Jones Retirement Estates was immaculate. There was a lot of variety in where you could live, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio. The upkeep was very good. The grounds were well taken care of, and there are a lot of paths to walk. There's a library, exercise rooms, and woodshop. The staff was very accommodating, very nice, and very friendly. The rooms for the most part were very spacious. There were good kitchen facilities and storage. The layout of the rooms was good."

"My sister is going to move into Sunset Garden. It was clean. It looked like a nice place. They have some walking trails there and an outdoor barbecue area. The main thing about them is that my sister likes the cost of it and the size of the room that she is getting for her rent. I met the lady in the office, and she seemed very nice. She answered all our questions and stuff. However, I thought they probably could have done a little better with their landscaping and probably kept the walkways a little cleaner."

"I moved to Heron's Key. It has everything someone might want and need. If I have any mental issues or other problems, they have the facilities to provide that type of care, all at no additional expense, because I paid quite a sum to get in here, as all members do. The new executive director sat down with members of each floor, asked them questions, and provided answers, as well as some information about what might happen in the future regarding future building and other developments. The meals are a separate charge because you have a choice of meals each time you go for a meal. They offer activities outside of Heron's Key, ranging as far as Seattle, Bremerton, and Gig Harbor. There are plenty of activities available for residents to choose from on a first-come, first-served basis. They have a waiting list in case someone needs to cancel, allowing another resident to take their place and maximize the usage of the trip."

"Merrill Gardens at Auburn was brand-new and very nice. It's a beautiful and gorgeous place and the staff was very nice, helpful, and detailed. I have no complaints at all. We had lunch and it was very nice and beautifully served. They were playing Bingo when we were there."

"Wesley Homes Lea Hill was a very classy place. It's a very nice, clean, and lovely place, very large and very well kept up, but it was too expensive for me. It just looked very nice to live in. They had trips and activities going on that would be quite nice to have. The food was excellent."

"We toured Wesley Des Moines. The staff was very open, very friendly, and very welcoming. It's brand new, very open, very bright and has lots of daylight. It was just very nice. We had lunch there. The lunch was fine."

"My friend has moved into Merrill Gardens. She likes the room, and the space of the facility. Everyone that I spent time with has been very friendly and helpful. It is a relatively new facility. It seems like they have activities every day, and they post that schedule. She had her first meal there last night, and it looked all good, and it was good portion size. To get in there initially, it's pretty expensive. The rent seems to be comparable to other locations for a newer room with more amenities in the room. For like a studio, they have a little kitchenette, and an apartment-size refrigerator."

"My Mother moved into Panorama in independent living in 2003. As she aged we moved her into the Quinalt so she was closer to the activities. She had given up her car and needed to be closer to the activities and restaurant. Once she could no longer care for herself the doctor wanted her in assisted living. To make her monies last longer, we moved her out after being there for 10 years to an other assisted living facility. That was a mistake. We moved her into an apartment with a friend and I setup her pills, she had better care there than the assisted living. When she fell and broke her hip she ended up a Panorama Rehab and Convalescent Center. She recovered well but knew she needed more than I could give so Panorama let her come back and she stayed in the Convalescent Center. All I can say is WOW. What wonderful caring staff. It is worth the monies by far to know your loved one is cared for. Thank you Panorama for employing people who care."

Throughout all the staff has been very caring and helpful. When things do come up, they are very responsive to my questions and concerns. It's a very welcoming place and I really feel that all the staff have the welfare of residents at the forefront of their approach."
