"We really liked Merrill Gardens at Tacoma. It had very nice, neat gardens and beautiful landscaping. The cottages were really well kept, and the main lodge was beautiful. We really liked that area. It was perfect for us because we were looking for independent for the first few years, and then later move on to assisted living. The cottage was very nice, exactly what we were looking for, at 1,400 square feet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. It really hit the spot with that one. They had an exercise room, a game room, and a very nice restaurant open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and you can go in anytime and order anything you want. We dealt with two people who were very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. The price was good, and the location was in the really nice part of Tacoma and close to a lot of things, like grocery stores, restaurants, fast-food restaurants, and lots of places were really close within walking distance. "

"Judson Park is our second choice. It's a beautiful facility, and it's got beautiful grounds and balconies. It has gardens there. All of that is just gorgeous, and it's a nice location as well. They have nice staff, and they also have people who live there who would give you a little tour and stuff."

"Our primary reason for choosing Wesley Des Moines was that the campus was being completely redeveloped and it had 3 bedroom, 1810 sq ft. Rainier apartments available. We moved in April 2023 at ages 78 and 78. Our goal was to move into a forever home that would not require us to move again unless we became completely incapacitated and needed a lot more help. We are totally satisfied with the apartment and the successful completion of all the construction that was promised. Staff is friendly and helpful and maintenance issues are quickly addressed. We are disappointed that we are among the youngest residents. Most are 5 to 10 years older and we do not have much in common. Our biggest disappointment is the dining room. The food is bland, uninteresting and repetitive and the dining room is chronically understaffed. We use a lot of our points for lunches at the bistro and we take advantage of the included breakfasts. Omelettes to order are a very good use of the points we do not spend in the dining room. There is no option to opt out of the food plan unless we wanted to move out of the Gardens Building and into one of the cottages or the Brownstones. If it was available, we would bail out of the food plan and pay for only what we use."

"Sunset Garden Senior Living looked really nice. People seemed to be friendly and having a good time. They have little amenities like raised beds where I could grow some edible flowers and stuff like that. So, I liked it a lot. It's meticulously kept. It's beautifully clean. The apartment was just redone and I enjoyed my visit very much. They have outdoor areas that you can comfortably enjoy safely. It's near a lot of different things, like the farmers market and the Tacoma Mall. I met two people and they were very helpful and very knowledgeable, just like what you want to be, someone whom you feel confident with. The rooms are very nice. I loved it. There were three big windows, which made me very happy. It was redone with new carpeting, new paint, and all that."

"The Kenney is where I wanted my mother to go to. I like the facility. It has a really good reputation. It's been around this town for years and it has been maintained for a long time. My mother thought the price was too much. That's why she didn't go there. What's neat is you can start out there independent and they take you til you're fully dependent. It goes all across that span and it's got a very high reputation for its care. The rooms are very nice. It depends on how much you want to pay but the small rooms are small. The food is very good. The dining room looked really convenient like any one could come and go in there and it's very spacious. After we found out how much it was, that was kind of the end of it for her. "

"The physical appearance of Wesley Lea Hill in Auburn is very good. The grounds are 19 acres, this is one of the largest I've seen or heard about, and it's very impressive. Their plan was a very good layout, and they have all the comforts and amenities you want. The staffs who gave the tour are very courteous and tried to answer our questions. They're very nice. They do activities and they discussed that. They have a large variety of activities and hobbies, Bible studies, the opportunity to pursue whatever hobby you like. They also have shopping trips and so on. I like the rooms very well, they're spacious and very well appointed, they're in very good shape."

"My mom lives in Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre. There is nothing wrong with this community at all. It is just the cost is getting prohibitive. It’s basically independent, living but they can help with medication if you need it. "

"Have been living here almost 6 years. It has just about everything one could want. I am very happy here and plan to stay. I have logged into places in AZ as my son and family live down there but I am not a desert person and prefer it up here. Panorama has independent living, which I live in a house now, but they also have a Care Unit and Long Term health Care. I feel very comfortable and secure living here and can do as many activities as I want or do nothing, my choice. They have two indoor pools, and several exercise rooms, many hobby rooms, and auditorium which not only has speakers but movie nights and afternoons. There are tours to go on and a restaurant, a gift shop, small grocery store - who will delivery groceries and a pharmacy which will also deliver. With so many activities one should never be bored. "

"My father was in Skyline Health Services for six weeks. One of the real drawbacks was you pay an initial payment of $1 million to get in. There were two buildings there: one that has senior living, and another with various stages of care, including total care, which is what he needed. He needed nursing care, physical therapy, help being fed, and all that; so he was in that facility. They were really wonderful for my father, but very very expensive. Medicare covered him for six weeks and once that was done, I moved him back to his previous facility to be closer to my mother, but he passed away within three days of that. It's a lovely building with lovely people, and it has very high-quality care, but it's very, very expensive. Where he was, they had full support for my father's needs. They have superb support. They have a van that will take you to places you need to go. It's a very lovely facility and very welcoming. The nurses who were in my father's care were wonderful; they were very patient and well trained. They were very experienced in using all the equipment, helping him getting in and out of bed, and taking care of him totally. On the outside, it's very pretty, and he had a nice room. They also had gardens for people, patios, and balconies, and it's a very lovely building. It's also in a wonderful location."

"Visiting this facility is a pleasure which begins with the free valet parking under the downtown Seattle building. Of course, it is not free forever but the first hour is. My resident friend has been staying in the assisted living unit of the facility for several months after she had some medical issues and subsequently needed assistance with self care and safety. The nursing staff is fabulous and provides excellent timely care in a professional and friendly manner. The head nurse has always had answers to our questions and has been able to get us any adaptive equipment we needed quickly. "

"We lived in Horizon House since 2009. It was an excellent place, the staff was very good, very caring, and helpful. We are very pleased to live here. We have a very nice apartment on the patio level of the building, and it’s very comfortable. There are 70 committees and there’s always something going on all the time. The food is excellent. They have a very nice dining room, and they have a bistro where you can just stop for hamburger or things like that. I was impressed by how friendly the people were. "

"I visited my friends at Crista Shores, and the facilities were very nice and well taken care of. The couple I visited had a very nice apartment and a nice view. It's very expensive, though, and it's way out of my budget. However, they provide everything that you need. They do a lot of trips, so they have bus access. They have outings, group activities, and potlucks. There's a sewing group, and they do games, puzzles, movies, and things like that."
