We visited MorningStar of Kirkland. We saw the entryway and the lobby. We visited the fitness facilities, the gym, and the swimming pool. We had lunch in the dining room and visited the room that we actually are going to stay in, which was a comfortable two-bedroom two-bathroom with 1180 square feet. The decor and the size fit our needs. There's outdoor parking, and there are very attractive outdoor grounds and an outdoor patio as well. All of these fit our needs. This is a 100% independent living facility. So we chose to reserve an apartment there on the spot. We had looked at a number of other senior living facilities in the area. Almost all of them had a waiting list, but MorningStar is relatively new, so they still had a few apartments available, which was also important to us. They have one-bedroom apartments. The staff was excellent. They answered our questions, and they made themselves available since our visit to ensure that the apartment would be ready for us. Our furniture will not arrive for a week after we arrive, so MorningStar has made a furnished apartment available to us until our furniture arrives. They provide meals.

I toured MorningStar of Kirkland. It was one of my top ones. I just have a nice feeling. I was shocked when I went there. The location is right there in Totem Lake, and it's just like, wow. I didn't even know it was there. They have a saltwater pool. Upon entering is a nice little bistro. They invited me to one of their functions, so I went to Aloha Days. It's nice, and I got along well with one of the girls I had a tour with. It was a comfortable place. Everybody was super nice at the exercise facility. I went by myself, and then I told my sister about it. We both just went to check it out. I just happened to call her, and said that I was bringing my sister to show her. She was off-site, but she's coming back from lunch. So, my sister was able to meet her, and we did another little tour. My sister says I know why you like this place. It was just a nice feeling. I felt at home.

My husband and I are residents of MorningStar of Kirkland. The food is very good. It's presented very nicely, and everything is always delicious. We have a wonderful chef. It's very clean. They take excellent care of us. There's a lot of great activities. We have no complaints. They have an exercise facility, so they have exercise classes, and they bring in entertainment. They take us on trips, like on Christmas day, they took us on a tour to see the Christmas lights all over Kirkland and in the area. They take us to concerts downtown. Everything is great. The staff is very helpful, courteous, and considerate. There's no disappointment. It's a great place.

I am choosing MorningStar Senior Living of Kirkland for myself. They just opened in February, so it's brand new. It was clean, very warm, and welcoming. I was impressed with it because they have been very, very thorough, even though we went there like three times to show my kids the place. I am confident that I will go somewhere where I know I have security and can interact with other people. The facility is in partnership with different medical groups, so I know I would get help immediately if I need it. They also have a nurse that comes. If I am sick, they will not let me go down to the dining room and expose myself to people. They will bring my meals to me. All of those things are very important to me.
