"I visited this facility on several occasions to see my God-Mother. She has been a resident here for three years now and I most recently visited her in July of 2012. I love this facility for many reasons. It is in great shape, it is well kept, and very homey feeling. The staff is kind and helpful and most of all they know what they are doing. As a visitor I have always had a great experience with the friendly staff and the clean facility. The food is great, the rooms are spacious and they have a lot of activities for the residents. They also make sure that they provide great outings. The grounds are pretty and well maintained and she loves it here. I would highly recommend this facility if you are looking in this area for a place for yourself or for a loved one. "

"My dad was a past resident of Ballard Landmark. It's excellent. It's like being on a cruise ship. It's very very clean. The restaurant was my dad's favorite because he could get 2 to 3 meals a day. And they had a menu. It wasn't just a set menu. He could choose what he wanted to eat. The staff was excellent. They were great. They have a pool, a gym, and a beauty salon. They have a shuttle that will take you on your errands. They have movie nights. They'd have a little meet and greet. They had a guys' club that would meet for breakfast. There were a lot of committees. So, he was kept pretty busy. The facility was within walking distance of his drugstore and the place where he likes to go get french fries. So he liked the location."

"Mom just moved to Empress Senior Living at Laurelhurst Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a facility that was just built a few years ago, and their staff is wonderful. I spent many, many days there with my mom. They are very professional and good. The food was very good, too. In memory care, there are a lot of people who are not very high-functioning, so they don't do a whole lot of activities, but the value for the money is pretty good. It costs $6,600 a month to be in that facility, and then there are additional costs on top of that, but I think for what I looked at all over, their cost was about the same as others. I was so lucky to find that place. They had space available, and they were able to get me in. It wasn't out of reach cost for me."

"Ascent Adult Family Home LLC was clean. They had a locked closet that you had to have a code to get into for the medications. The lady showed me around and she was just very nice and friendly. They were going to be getting the room ready (it wasn't ready yet) for my sister. They have to do an assessment first, so she would work with me on my sister. It's a home. From the second floor, getting to the yard in the back would be difficult for the people, but they've got a deck in the summer where people can go out onto and they have two of them. One had raised beds around the whole perimeter so that people could do gardening in it. It was comfortable-looking and it just seemed very nice. The lady I met was the owner. She lived downstairs. She was very personable and caring. They just didn't have a lot of parking, because it's in a neighborhood. So, their parking was not very good to go and visit."

"I toured MorningStar of Kirkland. It was one of my top ones. I just have a nice feeling. I was shocked when I went there. The location is right there in Totem Lake, and it's just like, wow. I didn't even know it was there. They have a saltwater pool. Upon entering is a nice little bistro. They invited me to one of their functions, so I went to Aloha Days. It's nice, and I got along well with one of the girls I had a tour with. It was a comfortable place. Everybody was super nice at the exercise facility. I went by myself, and then I told my sister about it. We both just went to check it out. I just happened to call her, and said that I was bringing my sister to show her. She was off-site, but she's coming back from lunch. So, my sister was able to meet her, and we did another little tour. My sister says I know why you like this place. It was just a nice feeling. I felt at home."

"I toured the independent living community of Madison House in Kirkland, and I liked it. I've known about the place for a long time, but I had never been there until recently, and it was surprisingly nice. Everybody on the staff was really nice, too. Not knowing its existence for years, I just went in there thinking it's probably an older place, which it is, but it's been updated, and I was just really impressed with it. I didn't have any negative feelings. Overall, I had a positive attitude about it."

"The Creekside was very good, modern, up to date, and on our shortlist of places for my mom. They're working toward assisted living. The rooms sizes were good, and the updates were fresh and very clean. The kitchen cabinets and counters were nicely done. They had a washer and dryer in the units. We ate lunch there, and the food was good and fresh. The location was good and within walking distance to the downtown area. The value was comparable to others. "

"We are so grateful for Cogir Kirkland! My mom has lived there for 3 months, and it's such a relief to know she is safe and well cared for. The community is only a year old--it's beautiful, light, and well-maintained, plus the rooms are very large. And surprisingly, the food is great! But the very best part is the staff! They are very skilled and professional, while also being super kind and caring. My mom is at the end of life, and can be "difficult" on top of it. Each staff member works extra hard to ensure she is heard; that she has everything she needs; and that she is comfortable and happy. Cogir Kirkland has a new General Manager that has been successful in implementing new systems and processes, and in building a strong and committed team. We are so happy to have them as part of our family!"

"This community is going to take off! My mother-in-law is having a blast with the new activities & entertainment. There is new management there & they truly take the time to listen to what the residents want! She is calling me excited & happier than ever. "

"I visited Cogir of Mill Creek. They have independent living and assisted living. If it wasn't for the cottage at the other place, I would've chosen Cogir over all of the others. We were very impressed with the relationship of the people. They treated us nicely. The rooms were larger than any other place we went to and for us, that was a real plus. You have a lot of food choices. I like the fact that you have a regular menu and you have an alternate menu. You have a choice of a lot of different things. The people were friendly. It's family-owned. Even though it's large, the setting is good. They have an indoor section that you can step outside and I like that they're pet-friendly. The cost was a little higher, but I think it was worth it."

"My mother has moved into MorningStar of Silver Lake. They're very friendly. The service is fantastic. The food is excellent. The accommodations are superb. She likes it very much. The food quality is very good. They have Chicken Alfredo, beef tacos, tilapia, and different fish. It's a varied menu. It's very, very good and people have lots to choose from. They have a husky tailgate, happy hour, and a Veterans program coming up this Saturday honoring Veterans. They have live music there. It's a very lovely facility. They have movies twice a day, and they have activities going on every day. They have exercises going on every day."

"I went to Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living and Memory Care. They were a quieter, smaller community. My sister also came on that tour. She was impressed because the parking was very close to the front door. She's handicapped, so it was a very short walk into the building and into the main area. The room that we selected for my mom was right next to the office. Parking was very close to the entrance. That was one of the main things that sold her on the community is her access. The person that assisted us was absolute five stars. She was a sweet, kind, caring, and vibrant. The facility was immaculate. The dining room was very close to the rooms, especially the room we selected for my mom; it's not a very far walk. They have physical therapy in-house, and they have a pharmacy, which is nice. They have a hair salon, and then they have a podiatrist that comes in. The food smelled good too. Based on our needs, I think it will be a very nice place for my mom. I think she will get absolute 100% personal attention. My mom has limited mobility and my sister, and it's a perfect spot for people with limited mobility because it is a smaller facility. They have transportation to doctor's and dentist's appointments, and they will do her laundry every week for an additional fee of 60 bucks a month, which is absolutely reasonable."
