"I chose GenCare Lynwood at Scriber Gardens because it was very affordable and seemed like a good place to be. I've been here for about two months now. The food is excellent and I'm very happy with that. The staff has been very accommodating. I recently moved from an original room to a better one and it's got everything I could possibly ask for as far as the places to live. "

"I went to Cogir of Edmonds Assisted Living & Memory Care. The facility was very nice. We didn't partake in the food, but it smelled fantastic. We saw the menus they have for their everyday meals, and they all had special meals if you needed them. I'm diabetic, so she said, "Oh, well, we can accommodate you. Sure. All you have to do when you come in is tell us what you want and you've got it." The staff was terrific. They were all friendly and they showed us around. They kept asking us questions about what I needed. They said they can accommodate me. It was just wonderful. I love the facility."

"I visited the North Creek by Bonaventure's assisted living. I don't know much about the community yet but I know what I want in an apartment, and it's the only place I've found that has everything. I wanted a washer and dryer in the unit, a full kitchen, air conditioning, and a place I could get outside with my dog. I've been to several other facilities, and theirs is the best for me. It's also not a big place. The lady there who helped me was great."

"I toured Edmonds Landing and it definitely was a very old building, and much smaller. The staff was wonderful, the one who did the tour, and they made sure we were introduced to people. The rooms were pretty small. They were like in the low 300 square feet. We had a little tea sort of thing and dessert. They said they had a little bistro area, for lack of a better term. From the discussion, they had lots of activities and they were well-timed. They have people come in and play music. This was towards the end of our looking, and by this time I'm realizing that my mother-in-law, who's 89 and a half years old, is a heck of a walker. She doesn't use a cane or a walker, and she will go. She's extremely physically fit, with just her dementia and her cognitive issues. We were concerned about that, and they said we could get her like a watch that has an identifier where she is. I thought the place was nice enough and the room was nice enough. It was not at all decorated in my style, but it was something she would like. But we were more and more concerned about her leaving. In the end, it just wasn't the right place for her, and I didn't pursue it."

"Mountlake Terrace Plaza was excellent. The manager was good. They were very hospitable and they were excellent. They tried to help us, but unfortunately, my parents were not qualified there. The facility was very good. I liked it very much. The nice thing was they had a yard with gardens. It was very clean and fresh. The manager was very nice and kind and was trying to give resources to us, even when she was busy. I just walked in. I did not have an appointment and she accepted me. I went there and talked to her."

"Sunrise of Edmonds was very nice and very clean. I had a very good feeling overall about the place. Wendy was very professional and very thorough in her tour and information about the facility. The studio was nice but small. They only had those available at the time, but they also had one and two bedrooms. They talked a lot about the outings that they take their vans to. They had a lot of field trips. They also had different classes available in-house. So, if people want to take an art class, they could."

"I went to Laurel Cove Community. The people were very friendly and they seemed to be very busy. The staff was very nice. The young woman was sitting at the desk immediately came up and said, "Hi, can I help you?" Everywhere we went it was nice and you felt very comfortable. I liked the room there. On the outside, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in, it's a completely different feeling. The menus look good. They showed us the menus, and we were there each time at almost lunchtime. Their residents seemed to go to lunch between 11:00 and 1:00. The food smelled fantastic, but we didn't eat any of it."

"Staff are wonderful and make you feel at home and cared for. There are always activities planned and have a large turn out of residents at each activity. Food is good and the place is odor free and clean. It would be nice if they would redecorate the interior, as it does not do Riverside East justice. It's a little out dated and as I look back, was almost why we didnt choose to move here, but happy we did!"

"I have a very good rating for Grandview Village. Everything that I've seen was a 5-star. Everything they did for me was a 5-star. I've just seen the first part of it and when I drove into the parking lot, everything was very well maintained, very clean, and organized. The staff was very informative, gave me all kinds of leads or which step to take next and a list of places to go, and a book of all the facilities in the area and the reviews on them, so that was extremely helpful. They just wouldn't accommodate my mom because it wasn't a memory care facility. If a person has dementia and they wanted to leave, they could, because their doors are not locked. I've seen the cafeteria and a room where they go for gaming and entertainment."

"My father-in-law has moved into Ashley Pointe Senior Living. What I like the best about it is they're a very friendly community. The room is updated and has high ceilings. It is bright and it has a really good shower. I had food there once, and it was good. The quality of the food is probably average. The staff members are extremely friendly. They seem like they're well-staffed. With regards to activities, they took the residents over to the creamery for a frozen yogurt. They've had a picnic in the park. But my father-in-law hasn't done any of them yet."

"Maple Ridge was a very nice facility and everything was just fine, but I’m only 90 years old and some of those people seemed so old. Most of them were in walkers or in wheelchairs. It just wasn’t for us. It was a very nice facility, and I couldn’t complain about that. They served us a meal that was very nice, too, and the people were very accommodating, but we just decided that we’re not going in that direction right now. It’s just that most of the people seemed like they had physical problems. "

"Our apartment is spacious and well laid out. The food and other services are superb, and the staff seems to please. Many interesting residents. Moving into Ida Culver House Broadview was a good decision."

"Northgate Plaza was lovely and yet not overdone. It's a relatively urban setting, but the grounds were lovely. They had flower beds and such. I thought how nice it was going to be to watch those flowers through the year instead of just concrete or urban scenery. It was very nicely done. It was not as luxurious as some of the others, but it was delightful and very comfortable. I saw three different layouts of rooms and I saw the effort of the person working with me. You could tell she was thinking about what she had heard me say and then was trying to match different room layouts as to how she understood that, which I really appreciated. The staff was delightful, friendly, and genuine. The food was good."
