My mother is in Brookdale Arbor Place. It's been great. Since she's been there, she's gotten a lot better. She was basically living by herself and not getting any visitors hardly at all, so she's becoming a recluse. Since she's moved into Brookdale, she has turned the corner. She's active and vibrant again, and her mindset is different than it was before, and she's thriving there. She's in a one-bedroom unit on the first floor. She has a view of the lawn and the garden area out of her window, and she just loves being able to look out onto the green scape. We brought her furniture from her house and it all fit. The bedroom furniture fit in the bedroom nicely, and she had a lot of furniture in her bedroom. I liked it because of the size of the rooms, too. It's not just a little cubicle. It's big enough that it can hold full-sized furniture and that makes a huge difference. She feels like she was at home when she moved in because she had all her own furniture there. They have a beauty salon, and she's already visited that. They have a massage therapist that comes in once a month, but she hasn't taken advantage of that yet. They have music in the afternoon, and she goes and listens to that. There's a library, a card room where the men and women go and play cards, Pinnacle, Bridge, and that type of stuff. She's just starting to learn how to play Pinnacle with them, so she's enjoying that, too. The staff is very friendly and cordial. The meals are really good, but sometimes they have things that she doesn't care for. They can always order something different. The place is top-notch. She's still trying to figure out what she likes as far as the activities, but there are a lot of different activities every day for her to choose from. It's a little pricy, but it's definitely worth the money for what she's getting out of it.

Brookdale Arbor Place was lovely and welcoming. The staff was delightful. I found her to be very, very helpful, and very pleasant. I saw what they were eating, and it looked delightful. The menus were very good. The dining area was large and nice. They had a calendar for every day of the month and well displayed. There are lots of activities about anything they want.

We were planning to move my mother to Brookdale Arbor Place, and I was not thrilled with how I was treated, especially once my mother passed away. My situation was I put in a deposit for my mother to move in, and the deposit was very expensive at over $10,00. But they did not have a unit ready and it took them two weeks to get that unit ready. Well, in that two weeks, my mother passed away and they did not return the full deposit to me, they took a portion of it. It took me six weeks of badgering people to get the money back, I was greatly disappointed with how it was handled. I was also not very impressed with the quality of the room. The layout was fine, it just seemed that the finishes were cheap, it was dreary and it wasn't uplifting. The unit wasn't ready when we placed a deposit, and they never called me to tell me the unit was ready, I had to call them. The unit was never available for rent, so in my mind, I never saw a reason for them to keep any of the deposit because they weren't out any revenue. I was close to retaining an attorney because they weren't returning my calls. I would not go back there.

My mother is at Brookdale Arbor. The facility is dark and dreary. The carpets are stained and some halls have a urine smell. They don’t have an activity room so everything is just held in the dining room. She feels cooped up. The meals are on par with institutional food. Not great not poor. There’s a high turn over for staff and the aids are over worked. She’s sometimes reluctant to push her button to get her needs met because she doesn’t want to tax the staff. They have two outings a week but the van only holds 12 people so she can’t get out as often as she’d like. Overall I feel we’re paying way more than what we’re getting in return.

We like Brookdale Arbor Place. We chose it for dad because he needed assisted living and it's close to shopping and some different facilities. The dining hall seems nice and clean. Overall, it has been a good experience except he has complained about the food, and he's not a typical complainer. Actually, I've eaten there, too, and it was not very good. The place is clean and modern. He moved in right as COVID hit, so the activities kind of shut down, and it wasn't really their fault. They're just starting to open things back up and they offer a lot of activities now. My dad likes to go out more off grounds (there's shopping and places nearby), so I'm not sure if he participates in them. They have a barbershop onsite, community get-togethers and shopping trips. Another thing is there's a high turnover of help. You get used to certain people and then there are more people coming in. My dad has a hard time understanding because of his age, and people that come in and help have really strong accents. So, there's a communication problem, but they are always friendly to him.

My grandmother will be moving into Brookdale Arbor Place. We chose it because she had her own independent apartment, and she had a pendant. If she needs help, she can hit her pendant. They check on her every two hours. For the first month since she has memory issues, they would escort her to all food and all activities. We really like the size of the place, the location, and their activities list. She likes knitting. They had bridge, bingo, and arts and crafts. They take them shopping to Fred Meyer's every week. This had a lot of variety. We went when there was a luau. It's one of her activities. When we stopped by, we had some coffee and cookies, and we just kind of checked out their menu. Everything we ate was really good, and they had a lot of options. They are going to meet once-a-month and decide on their food and vote, so that was really cool.

Brookdale Arbor Place was awesome. The staff was very friendly, very efficient, and very caring. My mother had a studio. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about them. They were amazing. The facility was clean, and it seemed warm, friendly, and updated. My mother-in-law also lived there 20 years ago, so I have fond thoughts of them from way back. Activities seemed awesome. My mom did not participate in many of them, but they seemed cool. Communication with them was great. I visited several and this was head and shoulders above anything else I visited. The staff was very warm and caring. They've all been fabulous.

Brookdale Arbor Place seemed like a nice place. They're helpful as they can be. We looked from 20 feet away and saw the tables in the dining room. It looked OK, and it looked more like a restaurant. The rooms seemed adequate, had nice big showers and big bathrooms, and they seemed comfortable enough. The staff was very helpful.

Brookdale Arbor Place would be our second choice. The rooms were nice. The staff was really enthusiastic and wanted to be there with the seniors and helping them through their situation, whatever it would be. There was lack of a stove in the unit and no balcony, but I would've been happy with my mother at either one of the places we toured. My brother just thought the balcony and the stove were important. The sales staff and even the people who worked there seemed to have worked there a long time. They didn't have the turnover that some places have. I give them a few bonus points for that. During the tour I saw some people sitting around in the lobby area doing puzzles and that type of thing. The staff member knew the residents by name. We also had a virtual tour there. Someone walked around and answered any questions we had. That was the first place we visited, and we were there for two hours. They answered a lot of the questions that we didn't have to ask other places we went to. The sales staff was very attentive and even gave us answers to things we hadn't thought to ask.

Im at Brookdale Arbor Place, I have a comfortable apartment, and the people are friendly. Its quiet. Theres exercises offered, and there are drives that are available from time to time. They wake me in the morning, which I appreciate, and they offer transportation to doctors appointments. I find the staff very personable.

I have a friend who lives at Brookdale Arbor Place. She absolutely loves it there, which is why I thought this would be a good place for my mother. The staff’s work attitude is good. They’re excellent. I’ve seen their food, and it is good. They have sitting exercises, where you sit on a chair and you exercise, which is good for them. They have all kinds of card games and bingo and a bus that will take them wherever they need to go, like to an appointment or a store. They have hairdressers and a wellness center right there, so they get all their medications and stuff through them.

Brookdale Arbor Place was really nice. You really feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The apartments were a little bit small, but they were beautiful. The security was good. They had vending machines. They kept their dining room beautiful.

Brookdale Arbor Place is a really beautiful community. The price was right. There was enough space for my mother, and the size was a big factor. She has a room for not just her bed, but her loveseat and her TV as well. Everybody was really friendly, and I think that she will get along there very well. They have a lot of really good activities, but my mother is really a loner, and she doesn't want to have much to do with that. They'll let her have her privacy which is really important for us.

I got my mom moved in, and it’s working out really well. My sister and I were both investigating, and we found the location was good for us. The staff was really helpful and I really like the caring atmosphere there. Any issues that come up, they are very good about working through them. The rooms are not huge, but there is plenty room, and they are very clean and very safe. My mom said the food is crappy, but the dining room looks beautiful, so I think it’s just her being a little picky. They have piano, bingo, casino, they did some shopping, and they have all kinds of things that they do. The security is good.

He didn't stay long enough to try a lot of things. He was just there for a week or so. The apartment was fine and nice. It stood out because it had air conditioning. The staff was good. He liked the food but he really didn’t have much to sample. They did fine, there's nothing they could change to provide better service.

They're absolutely wonderful. It was beautiful. I didn't care too much about the dining room area, but the food was great. They were excellent.
