"Ascent Adult Family Home LLC was clean. They had a locked closet that you had to have a code to get into for the medications. The lady showed me around and she was just very nice and friendly. They were going to be getting the room ready (it wasn't ready yet) for my sister. They have to do an assessment first, so she would work with me on my sister. It's a home. From the second floor, getting to the yard in the back would be difficult for the people, but they've got a deck in the summer where people can go out onto and they have two of them. One had raised beds around the whole perimeter so that people could do gardening in it. It was comfortable-looking and it just seemed very nice. The lady I met was the owner. She lived downstairs. She was very personable and caring. They just didn't have a lot of parking, because it's in a neighborhood. So, their parking was not very good to go and visit."

"My visit at Aegis of Lynnwood was pretty good; I was satisfied with it. The people that I met, I got good answers from, and I felt okay about that. The rooms were roomy and comfortable looking. There was a little get-together, and I also stepped into the movie theater while they were watching a movie. The woman that I talked to spent a lot of time with me, answering my questions and giving me a lot of information, so that was also very important. "

"When I took my mother to look at Grandview Village in Marysville, I had already look at a few other places. I really liked Grandview Village, it was small so she would get lost in a crowd. We looked at a couple of studio apts. and chose the layout we liked best. I decorated it so it didn't look like a bedroom in the living room area in a cottage theme. Since then her apt. has become one of the show apts. The staff is great, I can't say enough about them. My mother has had some challenging issues with her health and they have all been so good in helping us with them. I don't think I would have gotten through some of them without their help and support. Before Covid-19 activities, Teresa the director had activities every day and would take them shopping. I would come in once a month to do a crafting activity for whoever wants to come. They also had music on Saturday and the staff would join in on the dancing. There is always something going on for holidays even now with the Covid. The staff would dress up in a theme and parade through the halls. It is truly a fun place. If you are looking for a good caring assisted living facility Grandview Village in Marysville is the place to start. I give them an A++++."

"Staff are wonderful and make you feel at home and cared for. There are always activities planned and have a large turn out of residents at each activity. Food is good and the place is odor free and clean. It would be nice if they would redecorate the interior, as it does not do Riverside East justice. It's a little out dated and as I look back, was almost why we didnt choose to move here, but happy we did!"

"The people here at Scriber Gardens are nice. I like all of them. They are wonderful. They have a gym here for whatever needs you have, as far as working out, and then they have all kinds of games, such as bingo and crosswords. The food is good, and the chef does all kinds of things, trying to get people to like his food, but it's just not necessarily my style. I'm more of a home-cooking type of person, and he doesn't necessarily do those kinds of foods. It's just his style. There's nothing wrong with it. The refrigerators are terrible. They could get new ones. They don't have anything for cooking at all. They only have a microwave. They should have at least some cooking areas. I have a dog and so wherever I went, my dog had to be comfortable, too. What I found here is I have a room with a door that goes outside so I can take my dog directly outside. I don't have to go down the hall to get him to do his business. That was the reason why I'm here."

"My mom moved to the assisted living facility of Kenmore Senior Living. They had the different things that we were looking for. It was in the right area, and the price was always too high, but they just had the things that we were looking for my mom. The people who work there are nice, and there are lots of nice people who actually live there, too. It's clean, has lots of light with windows everywhere, and they have a big courtyard and a backyard that people can use. My mom says the food is generally really good, too. It seems like she's getting the care that she needs, and she seems to be adjusting and is happy there. The staff members are nice, attentive, and seem to know what they're doing. They have stuff going on all day long, and they put out a sheet for that every day. They have word games, and they have things going every morning, afternoon, and evening. I just don't pay that much attention to them because I don't participate in them, and my mom doesn't do a lot of them either. I can understand the medical part, because that's an add-on, but the actual amount of money that they charge for my mom staying in a studio is excessively expensive, to me. It's over a thousand dollars more than it should be per month."

"Madison House is too big and it's very 1990 heavy dark. The floors were spongy, and their pool broke, so they didn't have a pool anymore. It seemed like it could be a great program, but because it's so big, I think my mom could easily have gotten lost in the building. The apartments were very, very small and very dark. There was one small window. You would have to bring in lots of extra lighting. The staff who gave the tour was very invested in getting people into their program. I think that she's knowledgeable. It's a sales service, so it is what it is. Everything was very transparent, so in the sense of presenting the information, it was very well done."

"My mom lived for over a year and a half at Aegis Living Lodge. The community is exceptional. It's well run. The staff is very good. The people who were running it got to know my mom very well. They had some awareness of her behavior and took steps to mitigate that. The facility itself was very clean. There are good sized rooms and a good size community space with lots of social activities when they're allowed. Unfortunately, my mom happened to be staying there during the years of COVID lockdowns, and so she did not get a chance to participate in much. They have the kitchen, the dining area, and the common game room. They have a bus that will transport residents to various activities. Because of the COVID lockdowns, they arranged for an outdoor meeting location that was COVID safe, so they adjusted well to the environment in that respect when people were allowed to visit. However, it's twice as expensive as in Florida."

"My Mother has been there since September 2019. It was an adjustment for her, but she was VERY immobile when she got there. Medicare therapy and exercise with the staff has helped her immensely! Shes walking around the building once to twice a day, getting up and down from her chair on her own, among other things. During this virus the staff is working tirelessly to keep the residents entertained, from lawn darts in the hall, to BINGO, to the GEN Care 500 with remote control cars. Recently they helped us with a Zoom meeting and a family baby shower. They have also been tireless in keeping the residents safe throughout this trying time. The facility is clean and smells the same. Wildlife is present out the cafeteria windows. My moms only issue is the food service but that should improve after the virus is under control. She dosn't look to be starving. She has only good things to say about the caregivers, loves her room and seems genuinely happy! "

"I went to Laurel Cove Community. The people were very friendly and they seemed to be very busy. The staff was very nice. The young woman was sitting at the desk immediately came up and said, "Hi, can I help you?" Everywhere we went it was nice and you felt very comfortable. I liked the room there. On the outside, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in, it's a completely different feeling. The menus look good. They showed us the menus, and we were there each time at almost lunchtime. Their residents seemed to go to lunch between 11:00 and 1:00. The food smelled fantastic, but we didn't eat any of it."

"Edmonds Landing is a coastal community and it's friendly. They have adequate but small kitchens and the staff was really helpful. The people there were having lunch and that's what we saw. Their dining area is adequate, they have a chef and take some pride in it. They have a patio and courtyard but they're pretty limited in size. It's very urban, very city oriented, so it's not spacious, but comfortable."

"Redmond Heights was a beautiful facility in a beautiful location. They had games going on. It was an interactive facility where the clients had something to say as to what they wanted to do during the day. Everything was great. I found the scenery to be beautiful and eye opening. I found it to be a nice place that an elder person would want to be. The staff was very cordial and very open to any of my questions. They were almost like family there, and I really appreciated that. "
