I moved to Heritage Oaks. They had a lot to offer. They have three meals a day. They have all the utilities included. They have someone that comes in and does the cleaning, and that's a big help. The food is okay. The staff is okay, too. They're helpful if you need them to help you with something. They have electricity, gas, water, and that's all included. My apartment is fine, wonderful, and it has lots of space. They go shopping, they go to different places during the day, they have theater, they have workouts and stuff like that.

My mother has moved into Heritage Oaks. It's nice and clean. The staff seems nice, professional, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are nice, really clean, and well-kept. It would be like moving into an apartment building except that everybody there is elderly and you get three meals a day. It's by restaurants, shopping areas, and four blocks from the hospital. You've got everything right there within a couple of miles. They make trips to the bank and the grocery store. If you don't want to eat what they're cooking, once a week, if you get your name on the list, you can go out to eat lunch. The dining area is nice, clean, and well-kept. It's like a restaurant setup except cleaner. They had all different kinds of activities. They play games, they have a yoga person come in and a physical exercise person come in. They have movies and popcorn every day. They have a place where they all gather. They got a room for them to do the exercises and stuff. They have a big room in the middle because they had people come in and play music for them. It's like a huge living room. Some of the stuff doesn't get done on the day that it's supposed to get done, but it does get done. They cook for elderly people, so it's just like hospital food almost. The place is well-manicured and well-kept up. They have housekeeping in there all the time and they have maintenance people there. My mom had a light bulb go out and they came right up and fixed it.

I enjoyed my tour at Heritage Oaks, I liked it. I like that as a community, they have activities, it's a structured environment, and it's a nice and clean place. The apartment I saw had a nice design, roomy, with its own kitchen and bathroom. It was a nice and spacious apartment. The staffs who accommodated me during the tour were friendly and helpful. I also saw a gym, on Fridays they take the residents wherever they want to go. They would take them out to dinners and come back to pick them up. So I like the way their transportation system was set up, it's overall a nice place.

My father has moved into Heritage Oaks. He went and selected the place, but I liked it, too. I liked the grounds. I liked that it was a gated community. The staff was wonderful. I believe he's going to be pleased with the amenities and the dining hall. It looks nice. My experience was good. The staff was very helpful. They presented me with all the information, and they answered all of my questions. They also provided a discount for my father because he's a veteran, so that helped. They have a library, a computer room, a movie theater, and a game room. They have an activity bus, and they have a monthly calendar of events. They provide meals, so they have a daily menu. They have a bus that would take them back and forth to his doctor's appointments, and they take trips to different locations like Wal-Mart and Target. They have 24-hour staff, and I like that. The only dealing I've had with the staff was trying to get him into the place. I like the building. They give them something to do every day.

We went to look at Heritage Oaks. We like the program that they have there with the included meals. We like the apartments. They have a sort of complete program, so we thought it would be a good match with my mother-in-law. The location seems good, and it's in an area that we're looking to move to. We like the diversity of the community there. The staff was great and answered our questions. It was a very good experience. They really met our expectations. We were very happy with everything we saw there. They had a book club, Wii bowling, and excursions. It sounded like they have a lot of opportunities for my mother-in-law to get involved in whatever she feels like when she gets there. It's more than what she has currently, so we saw it as a nice selection of activities.

I toured Heritage Oaks for my sister. The experience of visiting was great. It was a very nice place. The building is convenient, and it's located in the city. I think they had three floors. The staff was very knowledgeable. She was very helpful, and she answered all my questions. She showed me all of the different things that they had to offer in rooms and places. The rooms were nice. They had plenty of room, a lot of space, and nice closet space. The kitchenette has no stove, but you could have a microwave. They provided meals in a cafeteria-like thing, and you could get your meals in a time of day between the hours of 7:00 and I think it was 6:00 or something like that.

Heritage Oaks was terrific, I just can't afford them. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The layout and upkeep were fine. I really had wanted a balcony or a patio, and they didn't have either.

My friend has been a resident of Heritage Oaks for two weeks now. The experience of trying to get her there was really nice. The sales director was very pleasant, very patient, asked very good questions to get the answers that she needed, and worked very diligently with her in getting housing and all the documentation in place for income information and all of that. She's also worked with my friend in getting into the living quarters because she had to put her in guest quarters while they waited for her furniture. She got a private room that was a studio type. She says that they will provide some social activities and transportation if she needed to go to the doctors or grocery stores. The facility is right next door to Chippenham Hospital, so it's very conveniently located to that hospital. There's a grocery store right in the neighborhood and right across the street as well. I also remember her mentioning that there were washers and dryers available and meals too. I think the price is good for all of the things she receives.

I toured Heritage Oaks for my dad. It was not great, but it was OK. The staff was very friendly but not overly helpful, and the place was kind of dark. The rooms were adequate. They keep telling me that they participate in Wii ball, and that was about all. The area looked like a very busy area.

I chose Heritage Oaks for my mother because it includes meals and housekeeping services and a nice location. The staff is very responsive. I have only been there once because it's lockdown and we're not allowed to go in. When I was there, it was clean and well organized. Activities are very limited. I saw a video of the dining area; I didn't see it in person because it was closed when we were there. They were serving meals in the residents' rooms. They gave some food the day we moved her in. It was average; it was fine. The price is reasonable for what you get. It's all independent living.

The mix of residents at Heritage Oaks was a little different than the other places I visited. It made you feel like you were in an assisted living community. When I arrived, there were a couple gentlemen sitting outside sunning themselves in their wheelchairs all alone, and that looked sad. It wasn't the place itself, it may be the personality of the people that were there, but it hit me with a deep sadness. The building itself, units and accommodations themselves were lovely and they were as clean and as bright as the other places I've been to. It was just the mix of patients. Everything looked fresh and new. The people however were a little less congregational, and there didn't seem to be that many of them grouping together.

I visited Heritage Oaks and it was a very positive experience. The people were very nice, the dining area was very clean, and it looked like an upscale restaurant; we even met the chef. It was very nice, and I would recommend them for my father. It's very convenient, every floor has an elevator, it was very accommodating, the people were very pleasant, and it was clean and nicely decorated.

I'm at Heritage Oaks. It's independent with help. They have three meals a day and offer housecleaning and laundry and just about anything you want. It's been great. The people are wonderful. I like the rooms. The food is great, and the staff and services are fine. The residents just took off to go to lunch at one of the local restaurants. They have a patio, a library, and games. They have a meeting once a month and decide if they want to continue doing what they're doing or if they want to change their mind. Right now, they're playing cards and doing bingo and puzzles.

The lobby of Heritage Oaks was a little bit dark-feeling when we went in, but the layout was very pleasant. The director of the property who assisted me was wonderful. We were able to witness a sing-along. They had a guest who came in and played several instruments and sang to the residents. They had a café where the residents can do their own cooking if they want to, and it's stocked with tea and coffee so that they can invite friends and share what they baked. They also have a movie screening room, and they were going to a road trip to Washington DC to visit the new history museum there. They were in the process of re-planning the salad bar in the dining hall because it wasn’t easily accessible to the residents.

I have visited Heritage Oaks for a couple of months now, and they did show me a 2 bedroom apartment that was very nice. It was very inexpensive; I was really surprised by that. I have been told by several people that their location is in a neighborhood that’s not really good -- that’s why maybe their prices were so low -- but I don’t care about the neighborhood. The location was OK.

Heritage Oaks was nice, but it just cost a lot; other than that, it had a very nice environment. The staff was very nice. We went to lunch, the food was good, and they offered 3 meals a day. It was about 20 minutes away.

I think Heritage Oaks is the best value for the money, much more cost effective than anyplace else. The rooms are large, the grounds are nice and peaceful, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. No long term leases either. Everything is included, food, transportation, activities and housekeeping. My cat loves it her too!

I had found Heritage Oaks for my mother but she passed away two weeks ago. They were very friendly and caring there, and she seemed to enjoy the food very much. She was wheelchair bound, so there was only so much that she could do, but she did do a bit. The rooms were very clean and, considering that she had a studio, it was fine because it was all she needed. The atmosphere was great.

Heritage Oaks was good. The staff was very friendly and very competent, and I didn't have any problems at all. They had a library, and we were impressed with the dining area. The apartments were OK. They had the usual bingo games and activities like that.

I think Heritage Oaks is good for people older than I am as most of the residents were older. The staff was so friendly, and the residents seemed happy. The dining area was clean and nice. The neighborhood seemed friendly and was close to a hospital. They had an exercise room and a recreation room.

What I liked best at Heritage Oaks was the size of their apartments and that the studio was very nice and reasonably priced. The residents were visible in the lounging area and other areas. The one thing I didn’t like about it was that they only had one manager. Everything was clean and seemed well maintained. The recreational activities were kind of boring because it was sort of the same stuff every day, and it wasn’t a lot of variety.

Bob of Heritage Oaks was great. He was very cordial and informative. The facility was clean and the residents appeared to be well taken care of. The room was nice, attractive, sunny, and bright. For its cost, it seemed very reasonable. The whole place was nice. There was a cosmetology area where both men and women could get their hair done.

We chose Heritage Oaks Retirement because of its price which is under $2,000. They were very helpful to mom. They have three meals a day. Mom can also have her dog there. It is a good place.

My father is at Heritage Oaks. We chose it because it is the right amount of therapist and the right amount of cost. His room is private. It looks like a nice, average nursing home. The staff is great so far. For what they charge, I think it is appropriate.

My mother-in-law is in Heritage Oaks, and that’s what we liked. The care is very good, and the staff is very nice. It’s a very clean and caring place. They have lots for their residents to do, and I just think that for the money, it’s a very good place. Even other places that were more expensive were not as nice.

This place is very calm and peaceful. Residents seem very content. I saw the new enrichment coordinator interact with residents and she's a beautiful young lady, dressed very nicely and chit chatting with residents. I am greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. The rooms are beautiful and spacey.

The lady at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village who talked with me was very, very nice. I did not care as much for this facility. They were planning to remodel the dining room. It was very large, and even now, it is nice. The lady who showed me around was very nice, and they have a lot of activities there.

When I went to go visit this facility I would go visit my grandfather. First me and my family would have to go to the front desk to sign in. We had been there so many times that the assistants knew our names and when they saw us they always greeted us with a smile. They would let us know how he was doing as well. We would usually go and eat dinner with my grandfather as well and the dining room had a special area that we could all sit at and we would share a meal together. The decor was what I would expect to be in an older persons home and it was a little dingy looking but everyone was helpful.
