Shrader Acres Assisted Living is a wonderful Assisted Living facility! The staff are very friendly, kind and professional. The care is exceptional. The facility is kept clean (no smells) and very attractive. During the holidays the decorations are outstanding! The outdoor area is comfortable and inviting as well as the sun room which is filled with beautiful plants and comfortable cushioned slider rockers. I'm confident that my aunt is living in a clean, tidy and healthy environment with staff that cares

I like the way Schrader Acres was setup as far as the living quarters are concerned. But they were always short staffed. I think they could improve on that. And there weren't enough activities because there weren't enough employees or volunteers to provide those activities for the residents.

I have had an excellent experience with this facillity. I really like the facillity because it provides a safe environment. The doors are locked at all times and visitors have to be "buzzed" in order to enter the building.I am also pleased with the facility allowing the residents to have a sense of independence. They may come and go as they please. There isn't a curfew. Residents are allowed to have their own vehicles on the premises and parking is within short distance from the building. I am also pleased that the staff checks on the residents daily. The Staff is very friendly and professional. I am also pleased that the facility also has a skilled nursing unit for residents if their health declines and may need to extra care. The reason i gave the facility three stars is because of the looks. I am aware that it is an older facility. I have been in a lot nicer assisted livings and they are extravagant and well decorated and look more home like. The apartments in nicer looking assisted livings are bigger in square footage and the layout is more home like. Because Schrader Acres is made out concrete residents arent able to paint or hang pictures to make the apartment similar to the homes the residents left behind. Also I dont like how small the apartments are because it doesnt allow much room for visitors . BUt over all i am very pleased with the facility . As long as my family members are happy and content with living there. I will always say positive things about them. It also says about the church that owns the facility to create a place to help the elderly
