"We placed my mom in Poplar Estates, and they were great. We picked this place because it's all-inclusive in terms of the help that she's going to need. The rooms are just right for my mom and includes a little kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, a living room, and a separate bedroom. It was just one big room with everything in, like a little apartment. I have eaten with my mom several times, and the food is good. Everybody is extremely friendly. They have an activity room where they have activities every day. "

"The Bridge at Columbia was excellent. It was my first choice. I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the place. It was the best one I've seen. The apartments were very attractive, and the way they are arranged, they had a good layout for furniture. We visited with a lady that's been living there for a while, and she had a beautiful little apartment, and the way she had her furniture arranged was just great. It's got a partial carpet, partial hard floor, and a nice kitchen. It had a small refrigerator and a microwave, but the refrigerator was larger than most places. The apartments were just great. They have a round-the-clock little bistro where you can go and get real ice cream, like you're in the ice cream shop where you buy ice cream, colas, sandwiches, goodies, whatever, at any time of the day. That was an excellent idea and I liked that. The staff was absolutely top-notch. They were really, really, really great people."

"The loving care our Dad receives at LifeCare is topnotch!!!! The administrative and nursing staffing team go out of their way to ensure his every need is taken care of. We were truly blessed to find such a caring team to take care of our Dad when we were no longer able to support his disability. Thank you! God bless you!!!!!!!!!!"

"My mother is at the Reserve at Spring Hill. They're very, very attentive in terms of the nursing care, and very responsive. The facility itself is very well maintained and immaculately appointed. It's a beautiful place to be. My mom is there for physical therapy, and once she gets back to baseline, she's out of there. We've not explored all that there is to do there because she's not going to be a permanent resident there. She's there to get physical therapy, to be cared for while she's there, in terms of being bathed and fed and all of that. The dining area is very, very nice, but I don't know a lot about it because they bring her her meals as if she were in a hospital setting in bed. She's not 100 percent thrilled with the food that she's receiving. I think it's because she's kind of spoiled and I've been bringing her meals that I prepare myself, and she's a little biased. They're experts and professional and just so attentive and friendly and go the extra mile. I can't say enough about them. I'm very pleased. They're definitely aggressively on top. The facility is immaculately maintained. The rooms are private and spacious."

"My mom is in Morning Pointe of Spring Hill. They are well-staffed. Plus, the staff are very good at working with the residents. They are very attentive, caring, and patient. The place is always clean. They have church services. They also have bingo, exercise classes, and outings. They have multiple options for their room, and they're spacious."

"I moved my mom to Village Manor. We chose it because it has lower rent, and they have a menu she can choose from. The food is very good, and there is plenty of it. Their dining area and their rooms are large and spacious. It also has a bigger layout and space. The staff is very positive and pleasant. They have activities like games, exercises, and bible study, and they have people come in to sing and play the piano. "

"My in-laws are staying at Southern Care. My overall experience has been very good. The woman who runs the place always listens to my complaints and tries to take care of them. I have no problem talking to her anytime I need to. They keep me informed too. The nurses are great. It is an older place, but I feel like my in-laws get the care that they need. If they need a doctor, they call in a nurse practitioner or a doctor. Some people there need nursing care, but from what I have seen, everybody is treated very nicely. My mother-in-law is very picky, but they do everything they can to make her happy. It is a good place. The staff members are always available. The living atmosphere is fine. My in-laws have a living room and a bedroom. The food is very good too. If they don't like what they're serving they fix them a sandwich or something else. They don't have as many activities as others have. They don't have outings because most of the people don't go out because a lot of them are in wheelchairs. However, I feel like my in-laws are more comfortable, and the people care about the residents. My father-in-law has incontinence. They check him in the middle of the night. If he needs changing, they change him, and if he needs cleaning up, they clean him up. There is lots of care and that is more important than other things. They play bingo, have classes, and do crafts. They have music people come in and play. They also have church people come in."

"My mother lived at Somerby Franklin. It is brand new and like a 5-star hotel. It's beautiful, and they gave excellent care. I was very happy for my mom. They had lots of activities and made sure everyone was included and invited. It was the best of the best. The dining area was beautiful, and the bistro was excellent."

"My mom moved into Maristone of Franklin. So far the staff is very competent. They're a small facility with only 40 units so you get better care in a smaller setting. They have great activities and a great dining facility. The location was great for me and it just felt like it was the right place for my mother. The room has new carpeting in the bedroom, new wood floors in the living room, new appliances in the kitchenette, and new paint. They just replaced a new HVAC system so it has undergone some recent renovations. The chef is a trained culinary graduate and she makes everything from scratch with no processed ingredients, which I think is good."

"I looked at the Fountains of Franklin. They have villas, but they were all occupied. They also showed me some assisted living places. They have some people who are independent but living in assisted living, that's in the main building. What I like about those are the rooms are very large and very well-kept. Our primary interest is in the villa but it's not available for quite a while. They plan to build some more, but they only have like 10 units and a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom place. The prices seemed a little high. Looking inside the menu that they offer, it's very much limited compared to the other place I toured. They offer three meals a day if you're staying inside the assisted living. And if you're living in the villas, I think it was 20 meals a month. There's only one staff person I dealt with, she had brochures that explain everything and she took us to one outstanding apartment. But it's more than I want to pay because I don't need assisted living. I saw several ladies coming back from a field trip on a bus, and another couple working on a puzzle. The fitness room was very small and had very, very limited equipment."

"My wife is in Life Care Center of Centerville. It is a rehab type home and lockdown facility where she can be protected. We put here there because she was falling a lot and needs headgear around the clock. I think the staff is doing an excellent job. They seem to be taking care of my wife. She fell about 4 or 5 times, and they made sure that there was nothing badly wrong with her. Since then, they have been very aware of that, and she has not been having falls for the last several months. "

"NHC Place at Cool Springs is very nice, and the location was wonderful. The people were very nice. They have a rehab and also long-term facility. The rooms were larger than we thought they would be. The staff was very kind, warm, outgoing, and caring about the patients, but it was kind of depressing. A lot of the patients are Alzheimer's patients. The staff tries to keep the patients engaged in activities. The place itself is beautiful, like walking into a hotel. We ate lunch there, and it was fine. They had a nice dining room where you can have guests join you for meals."

"I visited this assisted living facility and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. The residents I met were happy and were having a good time socializing. The common areas were clean and nicely decorated. They have a vegetable garden in the Spring and the residents help shell peas and snap beans. Then the cook prepared the vegetables for their lunch or supper that day. They have an exercise room with treadmills and other equipment suitable for the residents. It is not a large facility and the staff is kind and caring with the residents. Ivy Crest has a fish tank, birds, and dogs for everyone to enjoy. A hair dresser comes weekly to cut hair, give perms, and do wash and sets. The facility provides transportation to doctor appointments if needed. I would recommend this facility for anyone that is able to take care of their personal needs but wants the security of nursing staff and caregivers. "
