"We are on the waiting list at this community. I was able to see their apartments, and they all looked very nice. Their dining area looked like cafeteria-style. I shook hands with one of the staff members at their dementia unit, and she was very nice. The whole place was nice. "

"We toured Harmony at Hershey. What I liked best was that it was very personal care, very resident-focused, the activities, and the facility is new. It was only built a couple of years ago. So, it's very clean and very up to date. The dining looked decent and is a good place to call home in your older years."

"My tour at Autumn House West was a nice experience. It was a nice community, well-kept, and very organized. They explained everything in detail as far as everything they have in the rooms for the person living there. And about how they take them shopping, that they have an in-house doctor to help them in case they need help. They take them to doctors' appointments. So everything is pretty much there to help residents have a good living there. The person who gave me the tour was pretty good, she showed me the entire area, where they eat their food, wash their clothes, and the entertainment section where they can gather and discuss things. She finished it up by showing me one of the rooms, which was like a hotel setup and very nice. The dining area was nice. Everything was well taken care of, I didn't see anything negative at all."

"I’m a granddaughter of a resident at Paramount and my grandpa is new to the Dementia wing. I have worked for two other facilities so I had concerns. I’m telling everyone now how incredibly grateful I am to Paramount Secure environment. Rooms are huge and brand new, outings are fantastic and activities are great, not a child like thing like most. Music, one on ones and more!! Congratulations on a community well done! I am shocked at how much the residents are doing everyday. Happy, laughter and conversation is throughout the unit. My family leaves with tears of joy every single time, my grandpa is engaged in activities and never sad to see us go. Please do a favor for everyone you love and check out this place. Clean, beautiful and cheerful. The care staff are on point and I cannot say enough. Thank you for the love and gift of time and attention that you give everyone on everyday. "

"The staff that I met at Autumn House East were very professional. They answered all my questions, were willing to show me several different room layouts, and gave me the price ranges for each. I saw their game room, dining room, and the amenities they have. The facility was very clean and everybody was very friendly. The other residents were roaming around at will and it felt like it was a very nice atmosphere, not a typical nursing home. It's like a little community inside and I thought it would have been perfect for my step mom when the time comes. There were a couple of dining rooms and they were very big, spacious, and very home-like. It wasn't like a cafeteria-looking type. They decorated it in a way that it felt homey. They introduced me to the activities director and they had a schedule of what's going on every day at different times, and some of the residents can come on their own. The ones that need help, said they would go to the room and bring the people out to go to the activity."

"I like it because it was clean, very friendly, and small. The rooms were clean and fresh. They all have windows with decent views. It is very nicely appointed, and she can also bring her own furniture if she chooses to. They have different activities going on everyday. They have a large dining room for the residents, but they also have a small dining room if you want to celebrate small parties. We were able to talk to the chef, and he was wonderful. "

"Juniper Village at Mount Joy was beautiful. The staff showed us two very nice rooms. They were preparing for a man to play guitar while we were taking a tour. They provided lunch for us, and we had a choice of two different entrees. The people who worked in the dining room were very attentive to everybody and got them anything that they wanted. It was like a restaurant, and the food was very good."

"Victorian Villa was an excellent facility. It was about an hour from my home. It seemed professional but yet home like. The people were extremely friendly. I could sense a secure atmosphere, and I would recommend anyone to visit if they were looking for a personal care home as opposed to a larger facility. The rooms were spacious. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. They had an elevator for residents who needed walkers or scooters. They had exceptional cognitive activities which I really liked. "

"My parents are residents of Country Meadows of Mechanicsburg. The facility is too big, and communication was bad. The apartment is beautiful. I just needed to give my parents more care. The staff was all very nice, meaning the aides, but the ones in charge were not easy to talk to because they're always busy. They have bingo. My mom was in the chorus, and they loved to go to church. They had lots of fun things to do, which they enjoyed. The food, they got tired of it. The dining area is nice."

"I was impressed with the facilities. The staff worked hard at providing a safe, fun and pleasant atmosphere for those living under their care. The rooms were clean, and there were plenty of activities being offered to keep occupants entertained. I was especially happy to see some of the extras offered by Bethany Village. I noticed an arts and crafts station, a nail/hair salon, game room (containing pool table, dart boards, television sets and more), and a state-of-the-art cafeteria. I didn't have an opportunity to sample the food, but I saw no indication that it'd be anything less than tasty. The only negative I have to offer deals with some of the surrounding area to Bethany Village. Though the community itself is beautiful, it neighbors a high traffic street that's rather noisy. Also, the parking lots are poorly designed; however, that's hardly worth complaining about. Though poorly designed, my family had no real difficulty coping with it. "

"I toured Legend at Silver Creek. I liked the feel of the vibe. It had a good vibe. It wasn't so big that you felt lost. There was a feeling of community. It's relatively new, so that always makes you feel better and it just feels like some place you'd want to move to. This lady was extremely thorough, and she's ready to fight maybe for different reasons, but I certainly don't think she rushed us through there."

"My mother-in-law is at Silver Spring Personal Care Home. We feel that they're the best place for getting the best care for her. We're really happy with them. They've done a great job taking care of her. As far as the people are concerned, they have a great team together. It's a fairly new place. Everything works for my mother-in-law. The staff is the key factor because of their level of expertise and the way they take care of and treat people. With regards to the activities, they always have two activities going on each day. They have games, memory-type things, bingo, and that type of stuff. They have a small gym and a hair salon there. They take care of them."
